Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) reveal that the DHS had plans for its Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) to partner with Big Tech companies to monitor domestic speech about topics including election security and COVID-19.
A memo on a planned meeting between the DHS and Twitter executives noted that it was “an opportunity to discuss operationalizing public-private partnerships between DHS and Twitter, as well as [to] inform Twitter executives about DHS work on [misinformation, disinformation, malinformation, or “MDM”], including the creation of the Disinformation Governance Board.”
The documents suggested that DHS would provide “information to technology companies enabling them to remove content at their discretion and consistent with their terms of service.”

Two employees at a Mars food processing plant in Pennsylvania needed to be rescued after they fell into a tank of chocolate Thursday, according to reports.
The pair fell waist-deep into a tank at the candy giant’s facility in Elizabethtown just before 2 p.m., PennLive.com reported, citing Lancaster County dispatchers.
The chocolate-coated victims weren’t hurt, but couldn’t get out of the tank on their own, dispatchers told the outlet. They were identified as workers at the facility by WHP-TV.

Social media users and others have lashed out at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis for offering a pre-packaged watermelon salad as part of its Juneteenth menu.
The museum circulated a photo of the salad as it invited the public to its Juneteenth celebration.
“This is ridiculous and a mockery of Juneteenth,” Twitter user @WishYaHadAlexis wrote. “I’ve never had a watermelon salad or even heard of it. SMH.”

Initially, museum officials attempted to justify the offensive gaffe by noting that the watermelon salad has remained a staple in their food court’s manager’s family’s Juneteenth celebration.

Asteroid 2022 KV1 is predicted to be up to 328 feet wide and should skim past Earth tomorrow.
Its predicted size would make it larger than the Statue of Liberty.
New York's Statue of Liberty stands at 305 feet tall when you include the base.
An asteroid of this size could do some damage if it hit Earth but the space rock is expected to pass us from a safe distance. (Oh...how unfortunate and disappointing. - DD)
The larger asteroid should pass Earth from just over 2.6million miles away.

In comparison, the average blue whale is around 70 feet long.

It was recently revealed that Hunter Biden was the subject of an investigation into a missing firearm in 2018, which was strange enough, but as a result of that revelation, it was discovered that Biden may have lied in his answers on federal forms that were required to be filed prior to his purchase of a firearm. Those forms were obtained by The Federalist.
On federal gun forms, Hunter Biden checked off the box marked "no" next to the question "Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?"
Hunter said "no," though he has a book forthcoming from Simon and Schuster called Beautiful Things that "recounts his descent into substance abuse and his tortuous path to sobriety. The story ends with where Hunter is today—a sober married man with a new baby, finally able to appreciate the beautiful things in life."
Additionally, just five years earlier Hunter was discharged from the Navy Reserve after testing positive for cocaine. Family members had also spoken about the troubles Hunter had with drugs. Lying on the background check is a felony.

The 9mm round is widely popular for concealed carry because it has effective stopping/penetrating power without significant recoil. The round’s stopping power is also attractive for law enforcement, but that power does not translate into blowing organs out of the body.
