Long Summer Break.

I'm taking a long summer  break here. When it's in "Custom Readers mode," It's just my way of going offline, whenever. Might pop in here once in a while and will still be visiting the blog haunts. The plan is to return late August/early September. Gee, I wonder what the price of a gallon of gas will be then under 'da Orange Kang? But, "Man plans. God laughs." Not that I have any reason to believe I wouldn't return but we're not guaranteed tomorrow. Or 5 hours or minutes from now.

Parting shots:

* New variant of TDS identified say experts. Trump Defender Syndrome. Main Sympton: Those who support Orange Jewlius no matter what. Where's that tarrif money we were promised? Oh, it's going back to the companies that paid it. Think they'll lower their consumer prices? "Two More Weeks!"

* Where's the taxpayer refund for all the DOGE money Elon identified?

* Trump gets a $10 BILLION DOLLAR "brokerage fee" for "saving TikTok", which didn't need "saving." Some people thought it gave too much free speech that hurt their feeling.  There...there. There...there.

* The Trump Mobile phone is supposed to ship soon  after causing a backlash by those who pre-paid some money on it.

* Don Jr., and Eric make a ton of money investing and partnering with some drone manufacturer with ties to Israel.

* Below, from September 2025, aged well. And how's that going?  Well, those pledgy things get complicated.

* Barron, amazingly and correctly, predicts moves up and down on oil futures with uncanny foresight into when the Strait of Hormuz closed, reopened and again closed, raking in millions. He has the same market prescience of the Pelosi family. SHOOKING!

* You know one way or the other taxpayers will be paying for some or all of the Ballroom Bunker. The Arc 'd Trump.

* And all 'da Orange Kangz' vanity projects will be demolished once democrats become the majority again. A waste of time and money, but they'll do it.

* Where is the remaining two-thirds of the Epstein Files and will they be released? "Two More Weeks."

But hey, I know those suffering from this new TDS variant would be okay with Biden, Obama and Clinton doing the same as OrangeCrayon Face. So there's that.

Enjoy your holidays this year (Memorial Day, Independence Day, etc). Stay safe. Pray for peace.

I guess if I don't return for some reason this will remain locked in Customer Reader mode.   ¯\(ツ)/¯

Oh well... 😎

Some Headlines.

ProPublicaTrump Administration Aims to Penalize Disabled Adults Who Live With Their Families

Now, President Donald Trump’s administration is poised to penalize people like Burton simply for living in the same home as their families, according to four federal officials, internal emails and a federal regulatory listing. The administration is working on a rule change that would deduct the value of a disabled adult’s bedroom from their SSI allotment, even if the family members they live with are poor enough to qualify for food stamps. This would mean slashing the benefits of some of the most low-income SSI recipients by up to a third — about $330 a month in Burton’s case — or ending their support altogether.
[.]
(The disability programs are administered by the Social Security Administration but separate from the retirement program for which the agency is named. The Trump administration has promised not to cut Social Security retirement payments.)

The likely SSI cut will affect not just younger adults with disabilities such as Down syndrome and severe autism who are still living at home with their low-income parents, but also older people with health or financial problems who have had to move in with their adult children on tight budgets. All told, as many as 400,000 poor and disabled people and indigent older people across the United States could have their support cut or eliminated, according to a ProPublica analysis of actuarial figures from the Social Security Administration.
[...] anyone living at home beyond age 18 without paying full rent will be treated as if they have a benefactor. The value of their bedroom as well as any income and assets their family may have will be calculated and recalculated as often as every month and deducted from their SSI check
[.]
If enacted, the change will require intellectually disabled young people like Burton as well as very elderly people to file extensive monthly reports if they want to continue their benefits even at the reduced level. They’ll have to provide details about the property where they live: whether it’s leased or owned, as well as the names of anyone in the home, and whether any of these people has any new income or assets. They’ll also have to include documentation of all household bills and expenses, showing how much they do or don’t contribute personally, as well as financial documents such as bank statements and any pay stubs

Burdensome, time-consuming monthly requirements. An idea void of compassion. It's heartless and cruel. I wonder who's behind it?

Raw Story: 'Voters are just done': New poll shows Trump plunging to dire lows.

The poll, conducted by Reuters/Ipsos, found the president languishing at 34 percent approval, with 64 percent disapproving — the lowest of Trump's second term.

It also found that a dismal all-time low 22 percent approve of his handling of cost-of-living issues, as the Iran war continues to drive up gas prices and destabilize inflation.
[.]
"This includes AFTER the shooting at the correspondents' dinner," wrote Eric Michael Garcia of The Independent. "Voters are just done with Trump. They are angry about the economy and gas prices."

ABC News: Gas prices hit $4.23 per gallon.

Gasoline prices in the United States hit their highest level in four years on Tuesday as negotiations over the Iran war appeared to show little signs of a resolution.

The price of an average gallon of gas stands at $4.17, marking an increase of $1.19 per gallon since the war began on Feb. 28, AAA data showed. That amounts to a 28% jump in about two months.

HAPPY TAX DAY!

In b4 the 15th! Huzzah! 😎

Center For American Progress: The Trump Administration’s $1,000 Tax Refund Promise Falls Short by $665

NPR: Tax season was supposed to bring big refunds. So far they're less than expected.

Refunds are getting eaten up by higher gas prices.

[.]

"The tax refund season might be very good, but it's also being offset by this price in gasoline," said Michael Pearce, chief U.S. economist at Oxford Economics.

Suffer high gas prices a bit longer. It's a small price to pay, says Trump.

RTOil for over $100 a barrel ‘very small price to pay’ for Iran war – Trump

The US president has attempted to quell fears that the military operation he launched will exacerbate the global energy crisis.

Talking points out and spread by every Western MSM Jew-controlled media.

But - but...The Orange Shitgibbon says U.S. oil companies are falling over each other vying for Venezuelan oil.

RT: US oil companies going to Venezuela – Trump

US President Donald Trump has said that American oil companies are going to Venezuela in light of the South American country’s latest push to incentivize foreign investment in its energy sector.

[.]

[No, U.S. oil co's aren't clamoring to obtain Venezeulan oil. - DD]   Exxon CEO Darren Woods has poured cold water on the idea, saying that the South American country is “uninvestable, given the “commercial constructs and frameworks in place” there at present. He added that “durable investment protections” are the prerequisite to any long-term involvement.

RTWhy American Big Oil isn’t buying the Venezuela ‘victory’

Exxon boss Darren Woods described Venezuela as “uninvestable.” Woods said: “We have a very long history in Venezuela… We’ve had our assets seized there twice. You can imagine to re‑enter a third time would require some pretty significant changes from what we’ve historically seen here and what is currently the state.” He added: “If we look at the legal and commercial constructs and frameworks in place today in Venezuela, today it’s uninvestable. And so significant changes have to be made to those commercial frameworks, the legal system, there has to be durable investment protections, and there has to be a change to the hydrocarbon laws in the country.”

The Exxon CEO’s comments were echoed by Conoco’s boss, Ryan Lance, who said: “We need to be also thinking about even restructuring the entire Venezuelan energy system, including PDVSA.”

What that means is that Venezuela is far from under US control.

[.]

From the viewpoint of Big Oil, it’s not mission accomplished. Venezuela is ‘uninvestable’, which is the capitalist way of saying, there was no regime change to give the oil companies what they want – total control over Venezuela’s hydrocarbon wealth.

Bu-bu-but oil prices fell to the $89-$90/barrel today

Yeah, well, oil is one of the volatile commodities one can speculate/trade. One imagined blip or market skepticism can send prices up by $50, $100 or more in a split second.

Electric regret: Almost half of Australian and US EV owners want to go back to a combustion engine.

JoNova: Electric regret: Almost half of Australian and US EV owners want to go back to a combustion engine.

Nearly half of American owners of electric cars want to switch back to traditional cars powered by internal combustion engines, according to a consumer survey released by McKinsey and Co. earlier this month.
[.]
How much longer can the saviours of the world keep trying to force this dead-horse “transition” upon us?

The car manufacturers surely realize they are being forced into a financial dead end.

EPA overestimating range of EVs. They're unreliable.

Kelly Blue Book - Study: EPA-Certified Range Figures for EVs Unreliable.

EPA ratings are optimistic for most electric models.

A new study suggests that the ranges and fuel economy equivalent figures published by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are not particularly accurate. [  Shocking! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - Oh well...DD ]

If the EPA’s numbers are off, we should note, then the rest of the world has it even worse. EPA range figures are famously lower than those published by many other governments.

SAE International, a global association of engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries, used data from tests performed by Car and Driver to study real-world EV ranges.

In a 75 mph highway test, Car and Driver found that “more than 350 internal-combustion vehicles averaged 4.0 percent better fuel economy than what was stated on their labels. But the average range for an EV was 12.5 percent worse than the price sticker numbers.”

Oh noez! Europe is having a Wind Drought. So much for turbine power.

Green Matters: European Wind Turbines at a Standstill Amid an Ongoing "Wind Drought".

But as of recently, barely even a breeze has made its way through the through the winter air.
[.]
"Britain is in the middle of a wind drought — and the timing couldn't have been worse. For several days now, the U.K. and western Europe have been calm, with barely a breeze," Thomas Moore writes for Sky News.

"It is not until Wednesday, or even Thursday, that speeds pick up in Scotland and the North Sea, where most of our wind farms are. That shows in the mix of energy being used in the freezing conditions."

"The risks could increase with global warming," [🤣 - DD] he continues. "Scientists working for the United Nations' intergovernmental panel on climate change have looked at what could happen to wind speeds in future. Even if the world reaches net zero soon after 2050, limiting the rise in temperature, winds will weaken significantly in the northern hemisphere." ["Even if." FFS. Retardicus Maximus. - DD]
[.]
According to Yale Environment 360, the phrase "wind drought" is exactly what it sounds like — it refers to an extended period of time that an area lacks wind, or experiences slower-than-usual wind speeds. In 2021, wind speeds were 15 percent slower than in previous years, making for one of the least windy periods in the U.K. in nearly 60 years.

What are "usual wind speeds"?

Git yer fans out folks, them turbhans ain't gonna spin themselves!

Death of the PetroDollar?

Energy Intelligence: Oil Pricing Without Dollars: Is It Possible?

How much does it matter whether oil is priced in dollars? What are the alternatives, and how vulnerable is dollar pricing?  Who would suffer — or gain — most if dollars ceased to be the automatic medium for oil exchange? Those aren’t questions people have thought about much since the so-called “petrodollar” agreements of the mid-1970s. But with Russia already off dollar pricing and relations strained between Washington and Riyadh, they now demand consideration. Such “de-dollarization” of oil may never happen; the world may abandon oil before oil abandons the dollar. But then again it may. A unified replacement, such as the Chinese yuan, isn’t feasible. [OH, I'm not so sure about that! See the RT story at the end of this post. - DD] Market fragmentation — another assault on the globalized world oil did so much to help create — is a more likely result.

Market fragmentation? Maybe. Or maybe, instead, an intentional plan by globalists to destabilize and crush the dollar? They've been working on this for decades. What better commodity to leverage and accomplish this? Petrol, of course! The only other would be the food supply, but the Elites don't care if others starve as long as their HVAC works, they have food and their private jets run.

Trusted Broker: Why is the U.S. Dollar being the world currency?

China and Russia requested a new world currency in March 2009.

RT: Russia and China to abandon dollar in energy trade – Moscow.

The two nations have been promoting settlements in their national currencies.

Energy trade between Russia and China has been steadily growing and is up 64% in monetary terms so far this year, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak told the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Friday.

His comments followed a meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Chinese commission on energy cooperation.

“China is our strategic partner in the Asia-Pacific region and generally in trade,” he said, noting that in physical terms the increase was about 10% in supplies of oil, gas, coal, and electricity.

The deputy PM explained that the two countries aim to further develop trade relations, and in particular are working on expanding the share of national currencies in energy transactions.

“We are switching to settlements in rubles and yuan for the energy resources supplied,” Novak said.

"...and the Yuan." Uh-huh. There it is and here we are. But - hey, look over there! Russia and Ukraine! "We" have to stop Russian aggression and give Billions to Ukraine Nazis because..."reasons..."

Climate Expert asked, what should we do with petrochemicals. Expert can't answer so... "You Racist!"

He's Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA). She's Raya Salter, a clean energy advocate.

Higgins asked her a perfectly reasonable question. She didn't have an answer. What's the usual response when Liberals can't answer a question? Accuse the other person of being racist, sexist, misogynistic...they default to their favorite "ist", "ism" or "tic".

There are no answers because we haven't yet reached technology, with something economical and viable, that allows us to replace petro-based products. Some day, maybe, but not now or in the foreseeable future.

The Former Bronx Bartender and rooftop dancer who pretends she's a relevant member of Congress chimed in with her grandstanding response. She's part of the same committee. When it was her time, she REE'ed about Higgins because she too can't answer his question so..."He Racist! And a Big Meanie!" Scroll down the Twitter link under the above video and somewhere you'll find her "I'm ready for my close-up,"  moment.

The Left conveniently forgets Liberal Senators condescending behavior and derisive treatment when they questioned Amy Coney Barrett.

U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve Falls To 35-Year Low.

Oil Price.com (Archived): U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve Falls To 35-Year Low.

The United States’ Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) now has only 453.1 million barrels in its inventory, following another significant drop in the past week that puts the emergency reserve at a low not seen in three and a half decades, Reuters reports, citing the Department of Energy.

In the week ending August 19th, the SPR saw another draw of 8.1 million barrels, following smaller releases in the weeks leading up to that.

Same issue, different coverage at Climate DePot.

Home heating costs for winter states will be off the charts.

This is all by design and it's not Biden. He's an empty vessel. He doesn't know what day it is unless he's amp'ed up. This is all orchestrated by his handlers and the globalists behind the curtain. Their goal is breaking the American economy. No one can be this inept. It is pure evil, control and avarice that drives them.

If you're cheering on a "Red Wave" this November election thinking that will really change things, well - - - good luck. I wish you well. You maybe haven't lived long enough to underestimate RINOs and the UniParty to the degree you should. I'm not a pessimist, but Mitch McConnell isn't interested in changing course all that much.

UK heatwave triggers national emergency.

The National News (July 16, 2022): Second Cobra meeting called as UK heatwave triggers national emergency.

Londoners urged not travel on Monday and Tuesday with 80 per cent chance record temperature could be set and warning lives are at risk.

BBC (January 28, 2021): Renewable energy overtakes fossil fuels for first time as UK's biggest source of electricity in 2020.

For the first time, renewable energy overtook fossil fuels to be the biggest source of electricity in the UK in 2020.

Wind, solar, bio-energy and hydro (water) power generated a record 42% of UK power last year, while fossil fuels - mostly gas - produced 41%, according to a report by energy experts Ember and Agora Energiewende.

In 2019, renewables generated 37% of the UK's electricity, compared with 45% for fossil fuels.

How's that green, renewable energy working? The AC running good? Better get those child laborers in third-world countries to hurry up and increase their lithium and cobalt production. The Stiff-Upper-Lippers are having a heatwave.

Update/Addition: Ooof ..hit the BBC link and scroll all the way to the bottom (which I didn't do the first time) and READ THE COMMENTS. They kind of all read like this:

"This is awesome, great news."

"The world will live longer." 🤣🤣🤣

"This is awesome."

"This is great news that renewable energy overtakes fossil fuels."

I hope these same commenters enjoy their heatwave.

Biden burns bridge, then wonders why he can't cross.

The Independent: ‘Very bad sign’ that Joe Biden ‘won’t be welcomed by Saudi senior royal’.

A Saudi-based expert said the rank of the royal greeting the US president on the tarmac doesn’t matter.

Reports that Joe Biden will be welcomed in Saudi Arabia by a lesser-ranked member of the royal family have fuelled [sic] theories that his meetings in the Middle East will not go as well as he plans.

The US president is expected to be met on the tarmac by Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the deputy governor of Mecca, before attending the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit where a number of issues are to be discussed.

In contrast, Mr Biden’s predecessor Donald Trump was welcomed by King Salman Bin Abdulaziz when he landed in Saudi Arabia in 2017.

“This is a very bad sign,” European Council on Foreign Relations research fellow Dr Cinzia Bianco tweeted.
[.]
Mr Biden has said, in an op-ed in The Washington Post, that he aims to “reorient – but not rupture – relations” with Saudi Arabia, an assertion that has garnered criticism after he pledged during his presidential campaign to make the country “the pariah that they are” for the murder.

But China isn't a pariah because it's a gravy train for the Biden family. Detractors and Chinese who are critical of the CCP are never killed or go "missing" and never seen again. Is that how it works, Joe?

Biden has allowed FIVE MILLION barrels of oil from US national supply to be shipped abroad.

Daily Mail: Joe Biden has allowed FIVE MILLION barrels of oil from US national supply to be shipped abroad after claiming they'd be released to help lower soaring gas prices.

Joe Biden on April 21 announced the largest-ever release of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserves, in a bid to reduce soaring energy costs.
[.]
Yet in June more than five million barrels were exported to Europe and Asia, despite the record price highs in the United States.

Phillips 66 shipped about 470,000 barrels of sour crude from Texas to Trieste, Italy.

Atlantic Trading & Marketing (ATMI), an arm of French oil major TotalEnergies, sent 1.12 million barrels.

Cargos of oil were also sent to the Netherlands, India and China and more will leave Louisiana in July.
[.]
U.S. crude inventories are the lowest since 2004 as refineries run near peak levels.

Townhall: Biden is Selling America's Reserve Oil to Foreign Countries.

"More than 5 million barrels of oil that were part of a historic U.S. emergency oil reserves release aimed at lowering domestic fuel prices were exported to Europe and Asia last month, according to data and sources, even as U.S. gasoline and diesel prices touched record highs," Reuters reports. "The export of crude and fuel is blunting the impact of the moves by U.S. President Joe Biden designed to lower record pump prices.

Way to go Joe. How the baby formula shortage? Have you fixed that yet?

Hey, at least there's no mean tweets coming from the WH so...we got that going for us!

Turkey’s inflation soars to 73%, a 23-year high, as food and energy costs skyrocket.

CNBC (Archived): Turkey’s inflation soars to 73%, a 23-year high, as food and energy costs skyrocket.

Turkey’s inflation for the month of May rose by an eye-watering 73.5% year on year, its highest in 23 years, as the country grapples with soaring food and energy costs and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s long-running unorthodox strategy on monetary policy.

Food prices in the country of 84 million rose 91.6% year on year, the country’s statistics agency reported, bringing into sharp view the pain that regular consumers face as supply chain problems, rising energy costs and Russia’s war in Ukraine feed into global inflation.

Economic analysts expect the trajectory for Turkey’s inflation will only get worse.

CNS News: Trump in 2020: 'If Biden' Becomes President, You'll Pay $7 For a Gallon of Gas.

During a campaign stop on Nov. 2, 2020, then-President Donald Trump touted the low gasoline prices of the time and warned that if Joe Biden became president, Americans would end up paying $7, $8, even $9 a gallon.

Trump also said that, in response to those high gas prices, the Biden administration would tell people to get rid of their cars.
