♫ Meet the Resnicks! ♫ They use A LOT, and own A LOT, of California water.

Not only do the Resnicks use a lot of CA water, they control and own most of it. They also contribute millions to the Democrat party and politicians.

The Resnicks have amassed this empire by following a simple agricultural precept: Crops need water. Having shrewdly maneuvered the backroom politics of California’s byzantine water rules, they are now thought to consume more of the state’s water than any other family, farm, or company. They control more of it in some years than what’s used by the residents of Los Angeles and the entire San Francisco Bay Area combined.

Desperate "Spin."

OAN: Pro-Palestine Protesters Shut Down 405 Freeway In Los Angeles, 8 Arrested.

The group appeared on the southbound side of the freeway near National Boulevard in LA’s Westside around 9 a.m., demanding a ceasefire and U.S. Arms Embargo on Israel.

“Today, American Jews risked their bodies to demand a lasting ceasefire and an end to U.S. military aid to Israel,” the Jewish activist group If Not Now LA, whose members joined the protest, wrote on Instagram.

Today, American Jews risked their bodies[.]" 🤣

They RISKED their bodies, people! They RISKED their BODIES

As opposed to when Muslims block freeways to protest Israel's genocide against Palestinians. Then The Chosen and their cucked supporters scream, REEEEE and demand Muslims be arrested and deported.

I heard the number of Jewish protesters blocking The 405 was 6 million, but this isn't confirmed.

Here's more:

The protesters, organized in part by the group IfNotNow Los Angeles, walked onto the freeway around 9 a.m. in the area of Venice Boulevard, creating an instant backup of traffic south of the 10 Freeway.

California Highway Patrol officers quickly responded to the scene, and the group was quickly moved out of traffic lanes. The group, consisting of several dozen people, could then be seen marching south along the freeway shoulder and being escorted off the roadway under the watch of CHP officers.

By 9:40 a.m., all lanes except one were reopened to slow-moving traffic on the freeway.
[.]
IfNotNow Los Angeles released this statement, "American Jews and allies have shut down the 405 freeway in West Los Angeles in protest of U.S. support for Israel's assault on Gaza," adding:

"With one week to go before the Democratic National Convention, protesters are coalescing around three demands for all elected officials:

        call for a lasting ceasefire,

reject the American Israel Public Affairs Committee,

        and legislate an arms embargo."

Yeah, sorry about that typo in the Post title. It's Jews blocking the freeway, not Muslims. Oh well...too late to change it now.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ A-HA! This is pretty damn funny.

We'll see if they're arrested and treated the same as when Muslims blocked freeways. "Lock 'em up! Deport them all," is what Jews in America screamed when Muslims blocked freeways.

Too funny! Can't wait for all the, "I stand with Israel" crowd to condemn the actions of these Jewish groups like they did when Muslims did the same, calling them, "pro-Hamas, Jew Haters." "Lock 'em up! Deport them all!" 🤣

The irony is especially tasty, isn't it? How many Jews on social media will denounce this compared to their batshit crazy reaction when Muslims did the same? Likely, ZERO.

The only conclusion one can draw here, compared to past recent history from the "muh Israel," crowd is that all these Jewish groups and their supporters should be locked up and deported.

Hello. Welcome to work. We've CLOSED!

Breitbart: California Workers Arrive at Restaurant to Find It Closed Thanks to Newsom’s $20 Minimum Wage.

Restaurant workers at a Foster’s Freeze location in California arrived at work this week to find they had lost their jobs because it had closed, thanks to a $20 minimum wage signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) that took effect April 1.

Wednesday, April 3, 2024

How the $20 mandatory minimum wage is working out.

🤣

1. Laying off workers
[.]
2. Cutting hours and hiring less
[.]
3. Dropping staff benefits
[.]
4. Turning to order kiosks

Restaurants are turning to technology and automation to help reduce labor costs.

Sharon Zackfia, a restaurant analyst at William Blair, previously told BI that she expects digital order kiosks — currently a key focus area for some fast-food chains — to spread "even more quickly" in California. Kiosks mean that diners can place orders without having to speak to staff at a counter.

[Michaela] Mendelsohn, the El Pollo Loco franchisee, told CNN that she was introducing order kiosks and was considering bringing in AI-operated drive-thrus.
[.]
5. Spending less on operations
[.]
Alex Johnson, the Auntie Anne's Pretzels and Cinnabon franchisee, told the AP that he wasn't looking at opening any more locations in California. "I have to consider selling and even closing my business," he said. "The profit margin has become too slim."

Why, who could have possibly ever considered there are other ways to circumvent big nanny state government oppressive and onerous over-regulation?

California's next storm may bring 'life-threatening' flooding.

LA Times (Yahoo): 'Prepare now': California's next storm may bring 'life-threatening' flooding.

Officials across Southern California are warning residents to prepare for what could be "life-threatening and damaging flooding" beginning Sunday, as a storm system fueled by a massive atmospheric river brings heavy, sustained rainfall and dangerous waves to an already soaked region.

This storm could dump more than double Thursday's rainfall, which caused significant flooding, road closures and water rescues across the region.

"This is a potentially dangerous situation, and we are urging everyone to be preparing in advance," Ariel Cohen, a National Weather Service meteorologist, said Friday.

No, I wouldn't. Environmentalists have fought against, and won, in court cases against the construction of desalination plants. The alternative is drinking their own filtered urine. If only Cali was near a large body of water . . .

Fire crews use 6,000 gallons of water to extinguish burning Tesla Model S whose battery spontaneously combusted.

Or, 4,500 gallons of water; the story mentions both amounts.

Daily Mail: California fire crews use SIX THOUSAND gallons of water to extinguish burning Tesla Model S whose battery spontaneously combusted while driving down busy freeway.

* Fire officials said that nothing was wrong with the car before it combusted.
* Approximately 6,000 gallons of water was used to extinguish the blaze.
[.]
It is unclear what caused the blaze,[.]
[.]
Firefighters arrived at the wrecking yard to find the Tesla fully engulfed in flames. Each time the firefighters attempted to extinguish the flames, the Tesla's battery would reignite the fire.

The fire department posted an Instagram video of the ordeal, saying that even when firefighters moved the Tesla onto its side to spray the battery directly, the car would burst into flames again 'due to the residual heat.'

Eventually, the firefighters dug a pit near the Tesla and moved the burning car into it and then filled the pit with water, 'effectively submerging the battery compartment.'

The technique worked, and the fire department was able to put out the fire with no injuries and 4,500 gallons of water used - about the same amount of water used for a building fire.

Fires generated from electric vehicles can be especially hazardous, as they generate over 100 organic chemicals including some potentially fatal toxic gasses like carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide.

Hazardous chemicals and fatal toxic gasses are good for the environment! 👍

Bay Area Lib is upset with student cell phone policy. The Sweet Liberal Tears of Unfathomable Sadness!

One school's new cell phone policy has gone viral after a mom posted about it Friday afternoon.

Dr. Racheal French (@DrRachaelF) said in a now viral tweet that her daughter's school released a new policy saying officials can read "any text messages between students, even after school hours."

"Nopity nope nope," she added to the tweet.
[.]
One person responded to her initial tweet: "Why is there a need for children to have phones during the school day? They should be handed in at the start of the day and collected at home time. Simple. They need to be focused on their work not texting or playing games. Get ready for the world of work!"

Yep! Yep! Yeppity Yep! Get use to it, "Doctor." (She's not a real doctor, just like Tamale Jill Biden isn't a real doctor.) This is the liberal indoctrination you wanted for school kids, now you've got and you bitch about it? Too bad, Toots.

Martin Weber of Cathedral City, CA is upset because the Midwest doesn't want to share the Mississippi and Great Lakes water.

Oh, the REEEE is just so satisfying!

Desert News (Archived): Martin Weber of Cathedral City, CA is upset because the Midwest doesn't want to share the water in the Great Lakes.

To our supposed "fellow" Americans in Minnesota and other states bordering the Mississippi River who've sent letters to The Desert Sun: Your less-than-friendly replies to the idea of Mississippi water being sent by canal to meet up with the Colorado River is no surprise to us in the West.

You're right! We shouldn't make "our problem" your problem! (Then why the kvetching, Martin? - DD)

For that reason, I'm advocating for ocean desalination preferably via the Gulf of California. Pulling seawater that could be desalinated either in Mexico or California (or both) is much closer than transiting water from the Mississippi.

Despite the fact that our cities that were built, in your opinion, with no thought in mind, we are capable of putting together a plan to resolve our shortage. Why did we develop cities in the desert?  What part of better weather year-round here in the West (rather than plowing through snow, flooding, and tornados [sic] didn't occur to you? (Oh Nooez, snow, flooding, tornadoes which can happen anywhere. How are the quakes, semi-annual mudslides and the fires, Martin? - DD) Maybe you should look at the numbers of households moving south. (Martin, maybe you should look at the California exodus. - DD)

So please keep your muddy water. We'll figure this out via our own state governments. But just remember, what goes around comes around, should you need our assistance in the future. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an answer. You might find our number unlisted.

Signed, Martin Weber, Cathedral City

Oh, you want a gigantic water canal or pipeline across a majority of states from the Midwest to California for the water you so desperately need.

Maybe those desalination plants should have been built decades ago but no, the envirotards blocked them because the life and existence of some esoteric, unique, indigenous species of fauna, plankton or tadpole outranked the need for Californians to have potable water. You made your desert, live in it because it's all about the "year-round better weather."

Gee, Mr. Weber, if only California was near a large body of water instead of the landlocked hellhole it is.

Some people like four seasons, Martin. Others apparently like to be thirsty and bitch and whine about it.

Oh, gee, the Midwest won't have California's assistance in the future. Why, that's a Blessing. When the fuck has the Midwest asked California help for anything. Anyone?

We'll keep our muddy water! Thanks for conceding so early.

Stay thirsty Martin; stay thirsty! You can always recycle your urine and drink it. Email Bill Gates, Martin, he has the whole process figured out.

California landfills now filled with junked solar panels.

LA Times (Yahoo Archived): California went big on rooftop solar. Now that's a problem for landfills.

California has been a pioneer in pushing for rooftop solar power, building up the largest solar market in the U.S. More than 20 years and 1.3 million rooftops later, the bill is coming due.

Beginning in 2006, the state, focused on how to incentivize people to take up solar power, showered subsidies on homeowners who installed photovoltaic panels but had no comprehensive plan to dispose of them. Now, panels purchased under those programs are nearing the end of their typical 25-to-30-year life cycle.

Many are already winding up in landfills, where in some cases, they could potentially contaminate groundwater with toxic heavy metals such as lead, selenium and cadmium.

Sam Vanderhoof, a solar industry expert and chief executive of Recycle PV Solar, says that only 1 in 10 panels are actually recycled[.]
[.]
“The industry is supposed to be green,” Vanderhoof said. “But in reality, it’s all about the money.”

But-but-but...wind turbines will be better than solar panels, then, right? No.

"I feel helpless sometimes. What can we do?" she said. "We try to write to our congressmen and blah, blah, blah and all that but I just feel like, especially these little towns, rural America, they don't really get heard very much."

If only California was located near a large body of water.

Officials in California, now in its third year of drought that scientists have linked to climate change, have issued unprecedented water restrictions for millions of residents.
