You can't make this stuff up! 🤣 Seattle! LMAO! SHOKKED I tell ya that Minneapolis, Chicago, NYC, SF or LA didn't beat them to it.
MSN: Illegal immigrant police could soon fill beleaguered ranks of blue city.
The Seattle Police Department will now be able to hire participants in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy first introduced under the Obama administration.
The Spokesman: Seattle commission recommends against new test for police recruits.
Andrea Scheele, executive director of the Public Safety Civil Service Commission, concluded it was neither practical nor advisable for Seattle to use a new police recruitment test that has a higher rate of candidates who pass than the current test. The conclusion is likely to frustrate mayor’s office staff and council members who see the city’s current test as an obstacle to bringing in new recruits.
The test, according to the mayor and crew is, "an obstacle." The mayor's staff and council want the passing test score lowered from 90% to 70% ! 🤣 Yeah, lower the standards because, "Muh ocbastacle!"
Any visitor from the Seattle area who drops by, leave a comment on this. (It can be anonymous). What's the reaction from the general public to the mayor's proposal of hiring illegals for the PD?
Dozens of tents have appeared in Dublin near the International Protection Office - and the encampment has been labelled a ‘tent city’ buy the Irish Examiner.
Several of their tents have been daubed with messages that read 'we are not subhuman' and 'homes for all'.
The pictures emerged as UK Government ministers today rejected Dublin's demands to take back asylum seekers crossing from Northern Ireland.
Rishi Sunak has said the movement of migrants across the border shows that Downing Street’s Rwanda plan ‘is working’ - and he has said he is "not interested" in any sort of returns deal.
Independent Sentinel: Gun Criminal E. Jean Carroll Surrenders Her Gun to Police.
NBC News reports that E. Jean Carroll’s gun was seized after she admitted to having an unregistered gun during Donald Trump’s most recent civil case over him allegedly defaming her.
[.]
The chief of police in Warwick, New York, visited Carroll at her home on Feb. 15 “to discuss some open issues,” which was her statement that she never registered her pistol.
Carroll and her lawyer surrendered the gun the next day.
Oh Sweet Schadenfreude, (like dogs), we don't deserve you.
Newsmax: Nation's Oldest Gun Maker Exits New York After 200 Years.
Remington, the nation's oldest gun manufacturer, which has been located for more than 200 years in Ilion, New York, will move to LaGrange, Georgia, on March 4.
"Two hundred and eight years of history. Gone, gone," Ilion Mayor John P. Stephens told the New York Times. "Ilion is Remington. Remington is Ilion."
"The history and the nostalgic loss that we're going to suffer is almost, if not bigger, than the financial loss," Stevens added, whose father was an employee at Remington for 37 years.
Remington said it no longer feels welcomed in left-leaning New York. In a Facebook post, the company's chief executive, Ken D'Arcy, referred to Georgia as "a state that supports and welcomes the firearms industry."
[.]
Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-NY., whose district includes Ilion, released a statement on the relocation and aimed her critique directly at the Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul.
"It is because of New York Democrats' unconstitutional gun grab policies that the oldest gun manufacturer in the country has been run out of the state," Stefanik said.
[.]
Remington said it will invest $100 million in the operation in LaGrange, located near Atlanta, and will hire more than 800 people over five years.
Good for Remington. Why stay where you're unwelcome, over-taxed and over-regulated?
Washington Examiner: Councilman in wealthy Chicago suburb asks ‘affluent’ residents to take illegal immigrants into homes.
A city councilman in a wealthy Chicago suburb is calling on residents of his “affluent community” to welcome illegal immigrants into their homes as the migrant crisis continues to ravage Chicago.
The influx of migrants who have arrived in Chicago from the southern border is becoming an unendurable burden for the area’s resources, and Naperville Councilman Josh McBroom does not want to see tax dollars fund the transient population, according to a report.
“The public should also know taxpayer dollars are not, and will not, be used to house any potential migrants in the neighborhood. [ Not yet. - DD ] There’s been some misinformation out there.”
The needs of the migrants could rather be met by residents voluntarily welcoming the illegal immigrants into their homes, McBroom suggested.
Meet Josh McBroom.
Sounds like another Martha's Vineyard Experience in the making.
People in affluent communities aren't already providing shelter and food to the new neighbors? Shocking! How dare they!

WSJ: Kohl’s Is the Latest Target.
Kohl’s stock is down 5% on Tuesday after a social media blitz called for a boycott of the department store based on its Pride Month merchandise.
The customer backlash follows a similar controversy at Target, where social media users criticized the retailer’s assortment of Pride Month products, including a transgender-friendly swimsuit. Videos tagged with #boycottkohls had about 280,000 views on TikTok as of Tuesday.
Newsweek: Kohl's Faces Boycott Calls Over LGBT+ Baby Clothes.
[ALX on Twitter] wrote: "In case you need clothes for Your Gay or Trans 3 month old, Kohl's has you covered." This message was viewed more than half a million times and received over 1,400 retweets.
The Newsweek story, by James Bickerton, describes this as, "Right-wingers initiated campaigns against Target over its sale of LGBTQ+ inclusive children's clothes, and Bud Light in response to its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney."
I've never seen a story where a boycott promoted by Liberals is described as, "Left-wingers initiated a boycott of....", ... whatever.
Heh...The Left, the original proponents of Cancel Culture, gets a taste of its own and they snowflake out.
Liberal Tears of Unfathomable Sadness! Good times!
FOX News (Archived): Ron DeSantis sends two planes of illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis followed through on his promise to drop off illegal immigrants in progressive states, sending two planes full of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday.
A video provided to Fox News Digital shows the migrants deboarding the planes at Martha’s Vineyard Airport in Massachusetts.
"Yes, Florida can confirm the two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha’s Vineyard today were part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations," the governor’s communications director, Taryn Fenske, told Fox News Digital.

The office of Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker did not respond to an after-hours inquiry from Fox News Digital.

NY Daily News: Michael Avenatti sentenced to 4 years in prison for defrauding Stormy Daniels.
Pugnacious California attorney Michael Avenatti was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for defrauding Stormy Daniels when he represented her in litigation against former President Donald Trump.
The disgraced lawyer faced two to 20 years for stealing Daniels’ book advance payments in 2018 totaling more than $300,000.
Avenatti, who was already serving time for trying to shakedown Nike for more than $20 million, dumped his lawyers on the trial’s second day and moved to represent himself against criminal charges.
SHOUT OUT TO "THE VIEW'S" ANA FATVARRO...does Avenatti still remind you of the "Holy Spirit"?
A man claiming to be Dr. Marc Mallory, the husband of nasty woman Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, called a docking/boat company late last week requesting immediate access to the couple’s boat for Memorial Day weekend.
But because the company, NorthShore Dock LLC, was already severely behind schedule because of Whitmer’s oppressive shutdown orders, his request had to be denied.
[.]
“This morning I was out working when the office called me, there was a gentleman on hold who wanted his boat in the water before the weekend. Being memorial weekend and the fact that we started working 3 weeks late means there is no chance this is going to happen,” the since-deleted post reads.
“Well, our office personnel had explained this to the man and he replied: ‘I am the husband to the governor, will this make a difference?'”
The answer was a resounding no.
“As you can imagine, that does make a difference, that would put you at the back of the line!!!” the employee sarcastically wrote.
“Needless to say, our Governor and her husband will not be getting their boat for memorial day.” He added: “Too good not to share, I love it when karma comes around, even in small doses.”
Did this actually happen, though, or is it just a fake Facebook meme? According to NorthShore Dock LLC, it’s 100 percent real.
Rep. Adam B. Schiff has asked Google, YouTube and Twitter to consider following Facebook protocol in alerting users who interacted on their platforms with misinformation involving the coronavirus pandemic. When I read the LARGE lettered sentence from Schiff, am I the only one who pictures a WWII High-Ranking, Overachieving German Officer puffing away at a cigarette he is tightly holding between his thumb and forefinger, saying:
The congressman’s office released letters Thursday that Mr. Schiff, the chair of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, wrote to the heads of the companies this week.
Citing the presence of coronavirus-related misinformation on their platforms, Mr. Schiff suggested the companies adopt a practice similar to Facebook and proactively notify users who engaged on their platforms with harmful medical content involving the continuing outbreak.
[.]
“Though the best protection is removing or downgrading harmful content before users engage with it, that is not always possible,” Mr. Schiff wrote in the letters.
[.]
“I recognize the complex challenges that misinformation presents to online platforms,” Mr. Schiff added. “As we all grapple with this unprecedented health situation, I hope you will consider this suggestion for keeping users better informed.”
The letters were dated Wednesday and sent to Sundar Pichai, the chief executive officer of Google’s parent company Alphabet, as well as YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki and Twitter CEO Jason Dorsey.

"Moral Standards"...in the Democrat Party? How can you have what doesn't exist?Peter Dauo, a political activist and one-time fierce Hillary Clinton backer, urged former Vice President Joe Biden to end his presidential bid over new developments in the sexual assault allegation against him.
Dauo, who worked for Clinton during her first presidential bid and was a prominent defender of her in the 2016 cycle, took to Twitter Saturday morning to say "Biden should withdraw."
In a "difficult" Twitter thread, Daou said the new information emerging in support of Tara Reade's sexual assault allegation against Biden prompted his stance.
"Credible rape accusations are disqualifying or we have NO moral standards," Daou wrote.
While Daou was a major Clinton booster in 2016, he shifted this cycle to back one-time Clinton opponent, Bernie Sanders.
Dauo suggests Democrats should reboot the presidential primary.
Three livid bystanders heckled Mayor Bill de Blasio — demanding coronavirus tests and better healthcare — as he tried to speak to medical personnel outside Lincoln Hospital in The Bronx Wednesday."They had a very productive conversation..." Yeaeeeaaaaaaah - in other words, The Kaiser either sat in silence listening to them most patronizingly or, more likely, he told the protestors what they wanted to hear. They'll never hear from him again.
“Yo, de Blasio; I need a test, de Blasio!,” shouted a young man from behind a fence outside Lincoln Hospital, about 40 feet from where the mayor was thanking members of the US Air Force, who were deployed to the public hospital to help treat coronavirus patients.
“I need a test brother. Some people right here need a test. Where they at? Seriously I see you addressing these people what about these homeless right here,” the man yelled, pointing to a crowd outside the hospital.
“All these people right here are sick. Ain’t nobody addressing them,” he screamed.
[.]
After several minutes, members of the mayor’s NYPD security detail escorted two of the hecklers inside the hospital, where De Blasio later met with the pair for half an hour.
“They had a very productive conversation where they discussed ideas about how to better involve the community and educate people on life-saving practices like social distancing,” City Hall press secretary Freddi Goldstein told The Post afterward.

In a tweet, Christopher Cuomo wrote, “Sooooo in these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus. I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fever, chills, and shortness of breath. I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness! I am quarantined in my basement[.]"
Infested with rats and reeks of urine...Fraudster Michael Avenatti’s attorney is scared to visit him at the dirty and dangerous Metropolitan Correctional Center — because he fears the lockup could be a coronavirus hotbed.
In a letter, Avenatti lawyer Scott Srebnick asked a Manhattan judge to delay by 30 days a pre-sentencing interview he was scheduled to attend between Avenatti and probation officials at the MCC.
Srebnick highlighted unsanitary conditions at the MCC — which ended a 10-day lock down last week — as a potential breeding ground for coronavirus.
“Mr. Avenatti’s cell was infested with rats. The jail reeks of urine. As of yesterday, Mr. Avenatti had not shaved in weeks.["]

Avenatti was convicted of defrauding Nike in the case in February and a pre-sentencing hearing is scheduled for June.
He faces another criminal case in Manhattan federal court for allegedly embezzling funds porn star Stormy Daniels earned for writing her memoirs.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. government on Thursday began enforcing restrictions on flavored electronic cigarettes aimed at curbing underage vaping. But some teenagers may be one step ahead of the rules.A "buzzy product." I can't stop laughing at that.
Parents, researchers and students warn that some young people have already moved on to a newer kind of vape that isn’t covered by the flavor ban.
These disposable e-cigarettes are sold under brands like Puff Bar, Stig and Fogg in flavors such as pink lemonade, blueberry ice and tropical mango.
Critics of the FDA policy fear teens will simply switch to the cheaper disposables, which are widely available at convenience stores and gas stations.
“They are very accessible and seem to be the new buzzy product,” said Dr. Karen Wilson, a tobacco researcher and pediatrician at Mount Sinai’s medical school in New York.
The FDA confirmed that the flavor restriction won’t apply to “self-contained, disposable products,” but only to rechargeable ones that use pods or cartridges prefilled with a nicotine solution.
Remember when Liberal sycophants, like Matthew "Buy Avenatti-Sell Oprah" Yglesias, deluded themselves into believing Avenatti would make the bestest president ever?LOS ANGELES—Ex-Stormy Daniels lawyer and Trump antagonist Michael Avenatti was led out of the State Bar Court in Los Angeles by federal agents on Tuesday evening.
The arrest occurred outside the disciplinary hearing in which the State Bar of California has accused the hard-charging, tough-talking attorney of using a doctored document to scam a client out of nearly $840,000, funneling money from a lawsuit settlement fund to his own personal use.
The State Bar of California, the official attorney licensing agency, has sought to put Avenatti on “involuntary inactive status,” setting in motion a timeline for disbarment proceedings.
During a break in testimony, members of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, who are prosecuting Avenatti in a separate criminal matter in Orange County, parleyed with Avenatti's team of lawyers and took the lawyer into custody.
"I understand that Mr. Avenatti has been arrested by the federal authorities for violating the terms of his release," said attorney Steven Bledsoe, who represents the alleged Avenatti victim in the State Bar case and was present when the arrest occurred.
Avenatti was taken into custody at around 6 p.m. PST.
