American Eagle jeans ad is anti semitic!

"That jeans ad is LITERALLY HITLER!"

Breitbart: Lunatic Leftists Blast Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle Jeans Ad as ‘Nazi Propaganda’.

A growing number of disaffected, lunatic leftists on social media are attacking actress Sydney Sweeney as a “Nazi” after an advertisement she stars in for American Eagle jeans was released.

[.]

One crazed TikToker imagined that the ad is so racist and Nazified that it will “be in history books[.]”

The ad features the stunning actress, who has become a target of hate from the left for her beauty, talking to potential customers about her “genes” as well as her jeans.

Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color,” the Euphoria star says in the video ad.

“My jeans are blue,” Sweeney adds.

The ad ends with the tagline, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”

[.]

[...] American Eagle launched an ad campaign in 2019 featuring plus-sized models, and advertises its “curvy” jeans line on its website. The company also made a big push for Gay Pride month in June this year. The company is hardly any sort of “Nazi” or right-wing venture.

Social Media Meltdown over KFC ad showing only black people eating chicken without utensils!

VIBE (on Yahoo): Black Twitter Calls Out KFC’s Latest Campaign As “Racially Tone Deaf”.

Black Twitter has deemed Kentucky Fried Chicken’s latest campaign “racially tone deaf.”

On Thursday (Aug. 24), KFC Canada’s Director of Marketing, Azim Akhtar, revealed their ad on X/Twitter. He uploaded three pictures of the new advertisement featuring an all-Black cast of people licking their fingers.

“Sorry Utensils, It’s Finger Lickin’ Good,” Akhtar typed. “Latest campaign, I couldn’t be more proud!!” Black Twitter caught wind of the promotion and labeled the billboards racist. Some people questioned the intention behind casting all-Black actors for the ad, when everyone enjoys fried chicken.

1. So [white] people don’t lick their fingers? 2. We still not eating this (in this country),” one social media user xweeted. “3. I just know it’s a Black person on the creative team like, ‘I knew this wasn’t a good idea, but they don’t listen to me, so I just clock in…do my work…[and] go home.'”
[.]
KFC Canada’s creative director responded to the backlash on Friday (Aug. 25), apologizing for “not being more thoughtful.”My earlier post didn’t capture the full diversity of our latest campaign, and I personally apologize for not being more thoughtful in my excitement to share the campaign and only sharing certain photos,” he xweeted. “Here is the 60-second spot that is more representative of Canada’s diversity and our creative.”

However, that apology wasn’t enough for some. “You being the Director of Marketing,” another person expressed. “Sharing multiple gigantic billboards with black folks eating fried chicken licking their fingers is simply not it. No matter how diverse you feel this ad is.”

WATTPoulty: Sorry, utensils: KFC Canada’s chicken doesn’t need you.

Set to the instantly recognizable Air Supply’s “All Out of Love,” the campaign showcases people eating some of the brand’s most popular food by hand and issues a heartfelt apology to the abandoned spoons and forks.
[.]
“You can’t help but go all in and dig in, no utensils needed, with food so good you can’t help but lick your fingers.”

ERRRMMAAAGAAWWWWD! People in an ad who are black eating chicken without using utensils? When do the International Criminal Court Trials start at The Hague?

One: I don't know what Black Twitter is. I'm guessing Twitter accounts written by black people or people who identify as black.

Two: You've already lost me as a potential consumer on whatever your message is if you're using Air Supply's "All Out of Love." Were the musical rights to "Seasons In The Sun" unavailable? I never liked "All Out of Love". It's a lame song for cucks or incels. Fucking Air Supply. 🤣

Here's the LINK, (I'll never run any Air Supply song on this blog) to the "All Out of Love" apology ad, with a vibrant mix and diversity of people eating chiggun but not using utensils. The Horror! The Obscenity of it All.

Elon's a Freemason?

Saw the below of Elon's rebranding Twitter's symbol to an X, ditching the Blue Bird, but don't have Twit so can't dig deeper there. Can't find much searching other than wild conspiracy theories (and readers know I don't go there) floating around that Elon is/isn't a Freemason.

Kohl’s Is the Latest Target.

WSJ: Kohl’s Is the Latest Target.

Kohl’s stock is down 5% on Tuesday after a social media blitz called for a boycott of the department store based on its Pride Month merchandise.

The customer backlash follows a similar controversy at Target, where social media users criticized the retailer’s assortment of Pride Month products, including a transgender-friendly swimsuit. Videos tagged with #boycottkohls had about 280,000 views on TikTok as of Tuesday.

Newsweek: Kohl's Faces Boycott Calls Over LGBT+ Baby Clothes.

[ALX on Twitter] wrote: "In case you need clothes for Your Gay or Trans 3 month old, Kohl's has you covered." This message was viewed more than half a million times and received over 1,400 retweets.

The Newsweek story, by  James Bickerton, describes this as, "Right-wingers initiated campaigns against Target over its sale of LGBTQ+ inclusive children's clothes, and Bud Light in response to its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney."

I've never seen a story where a boycott promoted by Liberals is described as, "Left-wingers initiated a boycott of....", ... whatever.

Heh...The Left, the original proponents of Cancel Culture, gets a taste of its own and they snowflake out.

Liberal Tears of Unfathomable Sadness! Good times!

Target's VP of brand management is treasurer at LGBTQ group that pushes school districts to allow children to secretly change gender.

Daily Mail: REVEALED: Target's VP of brand management is treasurer at LGBTQ group that pushes school districts to allow children to secretly change gender: Company donated $2.1 million to organization.

A marketing executive at Target also serves as the treasurer of a LGBT organization which receives millions of dollars from the retailer and advocates allowing trans and nonbinary school students to keep their gender identity secret from parents.

Carlos Saavedra, 43, is Target's vice president for brand management and also volunteers as a director at GLSEN, which supports LGBTQ youth in schools.

Details of Saavedra's role at GLSEN come as Target's donations to the organization were placed under the spotlight following a backlash to the retailer's Pride month range, which includes 'tuck-friendly' women's swimwear.

Target has reportedly donated $2.1 million to GLSEN, whose policies include ensuring school staff should 'ensure that all personally identifiable and medical information relating to transgender and nonbinary students is kept confidential'.

GLSEN's policy said this should include withholding the information from 'parents or guardians... unless the student has authorized such disclosure'. Critics say the policy 'violates [a parents'] right to parent their own children]'.

 .

No conflict of interest here between Target and Saaverda's organization and no attempts at grooming going on, not at all.

DHL's Indy 500 Pride car fails early.

One might say it petered, or bottomed, out early.

Yahoo: Romain Grosjean crashes out of Indy 500 for second straight season.

For the second time in as many years, Romain Grosjean’s Indianapolis 500 came to an early end.

Grosjean, in just his second attempt at the 500, was running in the 25th position when his car lost control at the exit of Turn 2 and slammed the outside wall.

The No. 28 DHL Honda then slid down the racetrack and came to a rest in the infield grass area. Grosjean climbed out of his car unhurt but, once again, his dreams of being an Indy 500 champion were dashed.

I didn't say this Ford Raptor Ad is gay.

A poster on a message board where I found this clip commented, "this ad is gay." I'm only the messenger, not the message.

Don't be distracted by the rainbow colored word Tough at the end of the ad in reaching any conclusion. You decide.

Bud Light can't give away beer!

HITC: Bud Light offering $20 rebates to flog beer after controversy.

Bud Light is practically giving away beer with $20 rebates at certain stores as they try and sell crates following the controversy.
[.]
[... and] backlash for partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
[.]
People have seen the notices at Meijer, Kroger, and other stores, and have taken to Twitter to share photos of the rebates.

Here’s one:

I've been sober for almost a decade, so I'm not sure on this, but ain't a case like $20 most places?

Things can't be going great if they're basically giving it away… pic.twitter.com/aeCgHjlnEe

And another:

Stopped by my local Kroger tonight and they had a $10 rebate on cases of Bud Light and no one will still even touch it.  pic.twitter.com/K1iP5lDI5F

The Bud Light marketing team must still be all women if they think a coupon will get a man’s attention,” she amusingly wrote in the caption.

What’s a coupon?” one man joked in the comments.

Another said: “We hate rebates, too much work.”

Literally never used a coupon in my life, so yeah this checks out,” a third person added.

In other business news: Adidas has decided to sell Kanye merchandise after deciding not to sell Kanye merchandise.

Mr. Peanut's death postponed due to Kobe Bryant.

Collider: Mr. Peanut’s Death Was Inspired by ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
The plan was that Mr. Peanut’s funeral would be broadcast in a Super Bowl commercial during the third quarter of the big game, but the commercial and all promotional content has been paused indefinitely following the real-life death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant on Sunday.
[.]
Speaking with MSN before the commercial was pulled, Group Creative Director at Planters’ agency VaynerMedia [sic], Mike Pierantozzi, said the idea to kill off Mr. Peanut was inspired by Tony Stark’s death in Avengers: Endgame. No, really:

“We started talking about how the internet treats when someone dies — specifically, we were thinking about fictional characters, [like when] Iron Man died. When Iron Man died, we saw an incredible reaction on Twitter and on social media. It’s such a strange phenomenon.”
[.]
They went the somber route and took Mr. Peanut’s death incredibly seriously, hyping up his “funeral” that would be broadcast during the Super Bowl. The idea backfired, as we now know, and it’ll be curious to see if and when this “commercial” sees the light of day.

“We wanted you to know that we are saddened by this weekend’s news and Planters has paused all campaign activities, including paid media, and will evaluate next steps through a lens of sensitivity to those impacted by this tragedy,” a spokesperson for Planters reportedly said.

Maybe brands shouldn’t use death as a way to advertise their content? Just a thought.
The Death of Mr. Peanut Super Bowl ad which won't air due to the death of Kobe Bryant:

I'm undecided on which is the more stupid move, it's a coin toss. The ad agency so creatively bankrupt that they steal borrow a narrative as old as time itself with their best pitch being killing an iconic Brand character, or the company making the product that approves the killing of its iconic Brand character.

How hard is it to sell the Planter's brand?

A head's-up to Lucky the Leprechaun, Tony Tiger, the Trix rabbitMr. Clean and other Brand Characters out there. Beware if your employer hires VaynerMedia as their PR/Ad Reps.

Why is Prince Phil still driving?

Maybe...maybe...there are 97-year olds who are more adept and alert at driving than people half that age. Maybe. Then again, maybe not.

It's difficult for me to understand why Prince Phil continues driving. Vanity Fair:
As if being in a car accident that left him seriously shaken wasn’t enough, the Duke of Edinburgh is now at the center of a public relations storm, and Buckingham Palace courtiers can’t seem to keep a lid on it. The 97-year-old royal hit a small Kia sedan with his Land Rover while leaving the Sandringham estate last Thursday. The incident has provided tabloid fodder for days, and continued to do so Monday when one of the passengers involved made an appearance on national television on Monday. She criticized the treatment she has received by the police and what she called disappointing behavior on the part of the royal family.
Emma Fairweather, a passenger in the car, said she feels the royal should have reached out to her personally after the accident, which involved another woman and a nine-month old-baby. Fairweather suffered a broken wrist while the rest of those involved escaped the crash uninjured. According to a witness, Philip said at the scene that he was “dazzled” by bright sunlight when he pulled out onto the busy road and smashed into the Kia. Philip’s Land Rover flipped across the motorway, and the sedan was badly damaged when it crashed into the shoulder.
[.]
Land Rover scored some good publicity when they delivered a new vehicle to the Palace the next day. But outrage ensued when the Daily Mail published photographs of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh—back in the driving seat less than 48 hours after the crash—on the road apparently without their seatbelts. There have been calls for the 97-year-old Duke to give up his drivers license, prompting a debate about whether a man of his age should still legally be allowed to drive.
ET Online: Prince Philip driving two days after car crash.

Sky News: In 2016, Obama says Phil's driving "very smooth riding."
The duke drove former US president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle during their state visit in 2016.

Mr Obama said later: "I can report that it was very smooth riding.
 Image: Sky News

Okay-dokey, let's look at the above pic. To me, just sayin', appears Michelle has the usual backseat-driver look on her face and is saying something similar.

The Queen? She's ready to make an escape in a moment's notice if needed.

Barry? You know he's thinking, "Is this old fuck going to kill us all?"

And Prince Phil? He's everyone's Uncle that "ate-waaaaay-too-much Thanksgiving dinner" and is about to fall asleep, mid-sentence, in a comfy chair. Just before telling you where he has all his money hidden. And when you jar him out of his momentary slumber he won't remember what he was going to tell you anyway, so you let him drift off.

From the same Sky News link:
The incident is bound to raise questions about whether Prince Philip, who retired from public engagements in 2017 and had a hip replacement in May last year, is still able to drive safely.
Yeah...we've had our share of (now departed) family members who've had hip replacement, at ages younger than 97. Mid-70's and early 80's. Recovery was slow but successful. I remember Docs advising "don't drive for at least 3 months." So, for someone at 97, driving six or seven months after hip surgery? That seems risky to me; a risk to himself and others - both of which he, unfortunately, succeeded.

Your thoughts? OH - AND WITHOUT LOOKING BACK AT THE IMAGE...DO THE OBAMAS AND THE ROYALS APPEAR TO BE WEARING THEIR SEAT-BELTS, AS REQUIRED BY...LAW? No peeking back now!

One more thing: Land Rover...Okay, nice of them to give the Royals a new one, but how about doing the same for Emma Fairweather and others injured? Where is KIA? Unless I missed it, they didn't pony up a new vehicle for the victims either. How can a business MISS a chance for a great PR opportunity like that? I'm available for PR consulting. Seriously. The first thing I would have done is advised both KIA and Land Rover to give Ms. Fairweather a free, new vehicle. Both companies would have benefited by being part in every, single local, national and international television and radio news cast across the world -  and the internet - for a minimum of a solid 24-hour news cycle. The free, positive feedback from social media they would have received? Its value = Incalculable. How could they miss? WTF? (And I am for hire. Freelance/Indie Contract basis. We'll talk.)

It's Sunday. Drive carefully and Be Nice to others. Because I know where you live.

UPDATE, The NYTPhil says he's, "deeply sorry" about car crash.
The Duke of Edinburgh sent an apology letter to Emma Fairweather, who sustained a broken wrist when his Land Rover hit the Kia minivan in which she was traveling near the royal estate of Sandringham on Jan. 17.

In the note, written on Sandringham stationery and dated Jan. 21, the duke said he was “deeply sorry” and wished Ms. Fairweather a “speedy recovery.” He also acknowledged that the accident had left him “somewhat shaken,” a rare admission from a member of the royal family.
And then...Phil was off in his new Land Rover, to run over more commoners. Nah, just kidding.
