Still not convinced? What more do you need?

⏫ It's true! ⏫ ⏫ ⏫

Dexerto: Chess.com causes carnage after asking fans to rename one of the pieces.

Why would we throw out hundreds of years of history just because it hurts your feelings?” one asked. [Because it offends them you raging Jew-Hater!- DD]
[.]
No, you are not going to rename the bishop. Not now, not ever. Go woke, go broke, checkmate,” slammed someone else.

Wow, the ridicule and outrage we'd be reading if this was proposed by, say, Islam. All the Cuckservative Bloggers (no one on my BlogRoll) and sooooshulllll meeeedeeeah Israel sycophants would be ridiculing and mocking this issue. But since these Cucks have been on their kneepads for decades serving their Masters, not a peep.

Maybe now you Notice? No? Not yet? Well...maybe you'll Notice when they attain their goal of eliminating 1A and 2A - which they indeed are doing their best to take away from us - ... by then it will be too late to speak up.

Here's a thought: Let's piss them off and rename it, "The KANYE"!  🤣

Oh noez! Witch Nose!

ACK-K-K-K-K-K-K-K!

Witches Nose!

VIDROY Here  (October 2021), just under 22 minute kvetchfest on witches nose and costumes being anti semitic.

From her description of her vidroy: "Turns out, this harmless-seeming witch Halloween costume has a problematic history, and as a Jewish dress historian, I'm here to explain it."

Calm down. There there. Settle down, Ma'am.

Didn't watch the vidroy. Many comments/replies on the vidroy are of the nature, "thank you for sharing this information on how hurtful a witch costume can be."  "Thank you for pointing out this nose trope."  OY-REEEEE ! The comments are so similar it's like they're from the ten same posters using different accounts.

FFS - find something to do. Bring flowers to a retirement community. Volunteer for Meals on Wheels, a local food shelf or Feeding America. Ask a neighbor if they need help doing anything, if they say yes, help them...for free. Pick up litter around the neighborhood. I know, not as easy as kvetching all day at the keyboard whilst noshing Baklava.

[Semites include] Arabs, Akkadians, Canaanites, Hebrews, some Ethiopians (including the Amhara and the Tigrayans), and Aramaean tribes.

Wait! What's that last one? "no archaeological or scientific evidence of a common Semitic people."

Next on the kvetch list, paper clips in this shape. 🤣

Lesbian bar shuts down one week after opening because they weren't woke enough.

Libs of TikTok: Lesbian bar shuts down one week after opening because they weren't woke enough.

Doc Marie’s is a lesbian bar that opened on July 1st of this year with the hope of bringing more inclusivity [sic] to the city of Portland. But just one week after their grand opening they were forced to shut down because of complaints that the bar was not a “safe space.”
[.]
The crowd on opening day was huge. One woman said that the line for entry on opening night was “wrapped around the block” with “literally 200 lesbians” waiting to get in.

But the excitement about a new progressive hangout dissipated quickly. Within days, Doc Marie’s found itself on the receiving end of accusations of not being inclusive enough for trans people and people of color. Despite mask mandates being lifted in Portland, patrons accused the bar of not implementing enough COVID safety measures. Patrons also claimed that Doc Marie’s had “culturally appropriative [sic] art” on the walls.
[.]
Eventually, the employees demanded the owners relinquish ownership of the bar and hand the business to them. The owners were given a “24-hour deadline” to adhere to the ludicrous demands.
[.]
Surrendering to the woke mob doesn’t appear to be working out in Doc Marie’s favor, as the bar remains closed with no public plan to reopen.

Oh, Teh Irony when The Left cannibalizes itself. 🤣 And...in...Portland!

"REE! LOOK AT ME! I AM THE BAR OWNER NOW!"

Furor over Juneteenth merchandise. Only Christian holidays can be commercialized.

NY Amsterdam News (Archived): Tone deaf corporate America blasted for trying to ‘own Juneteenth’.

Social media users and others have lashed out at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis for offering a pre-packaged watermelon salad as part of its Juneteenth menu.

The museum circulated a photo of the salad as it invited the public to its Juneteenth celebration.

“This is ridiculous and a mockery of Juneteenth,” Twitter user @WishYaHadAlexis wrote. “I’ve never had a watermelon salad or even heard of it. SMH.”

Another Twitter user, @MajorFactor2, said, “There can’t possibly be any Black folks in these boardrooms when decisions like this are being made.” ("Black folks" ????? - DD)

Initially, museum officials attempted to justify the offensive gaffe by noting that the watermelon salad has remained a staple in their food court’s manager’s family’s Juneteenth celebration.

Later, they released a statement apologizing.

“As a museum, we apologize and acknowledge the negative impact that stereotypes have on communities of color,” officials wrote. “The salad has been removed from the menu.
[.]
Walmart came under fire earlier after the chain issued a new flavor of its ice cream and called it “Juneteenth.”
[.]
“Juneteenth simply cannot be owned.”

Alvin's in Kentucky: Those wearing masks Shall Not Pass!

A Kentucky convenience store told customers to take off their face masks or “go somewhere else” — but later did an about-face when called out for the controversial message.

A photo of the sign outside Alvin’s in Manchester was shared Monday on Facebook by a man who said he wanted to “spread their shame” by publicizing the business’ call to flout Gov. Andy Beshear’s mask guidance, intended to curb the spread of the coronavirus, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports.

No face masks allowed in store,” the pink sign read. “Lower your mask or go somewhere else! Stop listening to Beshear. He’s a dumbass.”

Instead, the shopper’s post — which was shared more than 3,800 times — prompted some Facebook users to call him a “snitch,” and others said they saw the sign as a “patriotic statement.”

“If I didn’t live so far away, I would do all my shopping here,” another man wrote. “Finally somebody with same dang common sense.”

The store, however, later changed its message, saying it would not turn away customers who are wearing face coverings.

“We are not telling you to not wear a mask,” Alvin’s wrote Tuesday on Facebook. “What we are saying is, [it’s] your choice to wear one or not, not our [government’s] choice for us. While some got the meaning behind it, [a lot] did not.”

The sign was not intended to “offend anyone,” according to Tuesday’s post.
[.]
The sign, meanwhile, has led some to consider making a 60-minute drive just to pick up lunch there.

DO NOT APOLOGIZE FOR ANYTHING,” one reply read. “We are planning a road trip just to eat at your place.
Welcome to The Micro-Offended, Can't Take a Joke, Snitch Culture brought to you by a virus that allegedly originated in China. Anyone else looking forward to a future where hilarity ensues when the snitchers are snitched on?

mrc Newsbusters Culture Contributing writer Lindsay Kornick couldn't be more wrong on "The Blacklist" and 2A.

TLDR: BIG SWING and a MISS, by Ms. Lindsay Kornick writing at mrc Newsbusters about "The Blacklist" being, "a liberal show" and that episode 'Gordon Kemp' is, "anti-2A."
-
Read the story AND the COMMENTS. Then come on back for my commentary. Or not, just refer back to the TLDR.😈
-
Last night's "Blacklist" didn't "lecture us about gun issues...through the mouths of criminals." Nor was it a, "grisly attempt at addressing political issues."

I now realize how much time I wasted reading Newsbusters (NB). I used to be a frequent visitor to NB. They lost me as a regular reader long ago when they went full ass-clown conspiratorial advocacy with any notion that didn't fit their very narrow narrative. NB has morphed in a Lunatic Right version of supermarket checkout aisle tabloids. Did Bozell abandon his site and now sits on the porch with Biden debating the best flavors of pudding cups?

Did Kornick pay attention to "The Blacklist" episode? Did she even watch it or is her column based on nothing more than a knee-jerk reaction to a tip sent in by an apoplectic reader, typing in all caps, "DID YOU SEE THE ANTI-SECOND AMENDMENT EPISODE OF 'THE BLACKLIST' LAST NIGHT?"

Kornick obviously hasn't seen the many "Blacklist" episodes where the bad guys are LIBERALS.

The episode is titled, "Gordon Kemp". Is Kornick at all familiar with the program and the character of Raymond Reddington (played by James Spader)? How many seasons or episodes of "The Blacklist" has she really watched? We don't know, she doesn't tell us, but that doesn't mean she can't write about something she's never seen. Sounds like the qualifications someone from The Left would use in justifying their opinion on something of which they are unfamiliar.

The episode "Gordon Kemp" was anything but anti-2A. It was the exact opposite. Kornick couldn't crawl out of her tunnel-vision long enough to see the big picture. Instead, she was Triggered because a character, Gordon Kemp, was the owner of a company that specialized in manufacturing cheaply-made handguns bought by straw-buyers which were then sold to criminals.

Kornick is upset that (spoiler alert) Reddington, using one of Kemp's cheaply made handguns, shoots and kills Kemp at the end of the episode. Reddington is upset because he earlier witnessed an innocent woman with a promising future who was shot to death by a thug using one of Kemp's handguns.

"The Blacklist" 'Gordon Kemp' episode wasn't, (as Kornick and those who commented at NB), just another Hollywood, hour-long anti-2A agenda programming. The circle of irony of the episode escapes them. The darkness of the Reddington character, that has evolved over seven seasons, flies over their collective pea-brain heads.

In a weak attempt to bolster her argument that "The Blacklist" is, (quote) "a liberal show," Kornick refers to a line by "Blacklist" character FBI Detective Ressler who says, "Look, I'm a member of the NRA, and I believe in the Second Amendment, but what you do, pouring more and more weapons into high-crime areas -- that has nothing to do with keeping a well-regulated militia and everything to do with making a buck."

 - - - - AND? This ties into an anti-2A agenda how? It doesn't. It's not so much taking dialogue out of context, it's misrepresenting the content in an attempt to make an analogy where one doesn't exist. Kornick isn't able - or deliberately won't - follow the logic of a fictional script because in the end, it doesn't make her point.

At best, I'm going to guess, she actually viewed the last ten minutes of the program, that's it. The rest - - - nowhere in her story does she write that she actually watched the program - - - she read about it online and received email from the hypersenstive overreacting crowd.

Yes, by way of 2A, gun makers can manufacture everything from quality firearms to the cheapest 'Saturday Night Specials' favored by criminals. Raise your hand if you're a strong advocate of 2A and you also support straw-buyers who resell to criminals. Anyone? Anyone?

The best comment at Kornick's feeble story is the one asking, "Is this show still on?" Huh - one would think when reading a story that mention's "the April 17 episode", one could reasonably conclude that, yes, this program is still on. My question to the person who wrote that comment is, when you address your parents, do you refer to them as, 'Mom and Dad' or 'Brother and Sister'?

I would have added a comment to Kornick's story, but you have to register, and I'm not going through that BS.

"The Blacklist" is one of the finest hour-long dramas on television. IMO, it's right up there with "The Sopranos".

Considering "The Blacklist" is in its seventh season, now...suddenly...Kornick concludes it's, "a liberal show." I'm guessing the very misinformed and misguided Kornick would also conclude that "The Sopranos" is, "a liberal show."

Kornick concludes her column with this gem:
In response, I’ll answer with how Maya Angelou put it: when people show you who they are, believe them. This is what liberals think of gun-makers, believe that.
Yes, Kornick isn't off the mark, generally, in saying that liberals think gun-makers are bad (although I personally know some Libs who don't think that). It's too bad that that has nothing to do with Friday night's episode of "The Blacklist".

I'd suggest Kornick watch the "Gordon Kemp" episode and that she pay attention to it. If not, heck, maybe her next column will be on the hidden, anti-2A liberal agenda portrayed in all westerns. Those Liberal cowboys didn't pass background checks and buy their guns from an FFL dealer.

Take a glance at Kornick's columns. In almost every article she's Triggered and Offended by fictional programming. This is a good thing. I can't imagine the damage and misinformation she'd inflict if she wrote about non-fictional events. She must be blood-related to Bozell. There's no other way she'd be on the payroll.

I wonder if Kornick has found an anti-2A liberal agenda in "Baby Shark"?

Protestor William Talen arrested for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct in NYC Central Park's Samaritan’s Purse.

William Talen, charlatan.

A protester donning a pink suit and bandana mask was arrested Sunday afternoon at a COVID-19 field hospital in New York City's Central Park that is being run by an evangelical group whose leader has a long history of anti-LGBTQ beliefs.

They have no business being in New York City,” the protester, William Talen, 69, shouted as six New York City Police Department officers, one of whom appeared to be carrying Talen’s rainbow flag, removed him from the park. “They are the virus.

The 68-bed field hospital is run by Samaritan’s Purse, an evangelical Christian humanitarian organization run by Franklin Graham, son of the late Rev. Billy Graham.
[.]
Samaritan’s Purse is working with the Mount Sinai Health System, a New York City hospital network, to address the overflow of patients due to the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement emailed to NBC News on Monday, a Mount Sinai spokesperson said all staff within its hospital system, including the Samaritan’s Purse field hospital, “will adhere” to Mount Sinai’s “principles and guidelines when it comes to not discriminating against patients or staff.”
He has a long record of being disruptive and a public nuisance. Here's just one example.

Talen...simply another attention-seeking clown and member of the Loud Crowd, like Brad Hoylman, claiming to embrace tolerance, acceptance, diversity and kindness yet personally devoid of these values and qualities.

Brad Hoylman, Gay DEM NY Lawmaker Angered That Franklin Graham Is Helping Save Lives in NYC. de Blasio also "very concerned."

The tolerant and inclusive Brad Hoylman.

An openly gay and anti-Christian New York state senator has condemned Franklin Graham and Samaritan's Purse for wanting to treat coronavirus patients.

Samaritan's Purse set up an emergency field tent hospital in Central Park at the request of city officials. The respiratory unit, which will be supervised by Mount Sinai Hospital, can accommodate 68 patients.

"It's a shame that the federal government has left New York with no other choice but to accept charity from bigots," State Sen. Brad Hoylman said. "You know those medical tents being constructed in Central Park? They’re being set up by notorious anti-gay bigot Franklin Graham."
[.]
It's unthinkable that anyone, much less a state lawmaker, would bully a bunch of Christians who simply want to provide medical treatment to critically ill New Yorkers.

"We don't discriminate against anybody" Graham said. "Our doors are open for all New Yorkers - regardless of their race, ethnicity or their sexual preference. We treat everybody the same."
[.]
Mayor Bill de Blasio told the New York Post that he was troubled over the ministry's commitment to traditional religious beliefs regarding marriage and sexuality.

We’re going to send people over from the Mayor’s Office to monitor” the park facility, de Blasio added. “So I’m very concerned to make sure this is done right. But if it is done right, of course, we need all the help we can get.”

Even some in the city's LGBT community thumbed their nose at the Christian ministry's charity.
de Blasio Kaiser Warren Wilhelm, Junior, can't find a camera or microphone fast enough these days in which to stick his face and shed tears about how New Yorkers are dying and need help. Yet he doesn't seem to appreciate the help of Christians. Um - what is the Alphabet Brigade doing to help anyone?

As far as DEM NY State Senator Hoylman, wow, don't tell him he's not earning his salary and doing the work of the people. He tirelessly tackles the really big issues like risks to children from tanning beds.

We all know who the real haters and bigots are, here. They tell us who they are every time they speak.

Illegal Aliens DEMAND $1,200 Federal relief checks.

Breitbart: Coronavirus: Illegal Aliens Demand $1.2K Each in Taxpayer-Funded Checks.
Illegal aliens are demanding they too receive $1,200 in federal checks from the government as part of a Chinese coronavirus crisis relief package.

Open borders organizations like the George Soros-funded United We Dream, the National Immigrant Justice Center, and the National Immigration Law Center — all of which represent the roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United Statesare pleading with the federal government to cut federal checks to illegal aliens who have Individual Tax Identification Number (ITINs).

Currently, Trump’s coronavirus relief package includes $1,200 federal checks for American citizens with Social Security Numbers (SSN) or those considered “resident aliens,” like permanent lawful residents in the U.S. on green cards.

Illegal aliens, therefore, are excluded from receiving the federal checks, a provision that has outraged the open borders lobby.
[.]
Illegal alien advocates are asking the public to urge lawmakers to provide federal checks to illegal aliens in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.
Uh, relief checks for Illegals? NO, NO and FUCK NO!

Woke state flag needed; adopt full time DST? Only if it keeps MN legislators from inflicting real harm.

Minneapolis Red Star: Minnesota Legislature opens 2020 election year session.
There also were lighter issues on the calendar — for one, whether to make daylight saving time permanent in the state. Another would look into redesigning the state flag.
More "Common sense" gun confiscation laws are also being pushed by the anti-2A crowd, who always seems to be a very liberal group comprised of those soft on crime and favoring endless unsuccessful rehabilitation programs.

Given the amount of daylight both states receive, it makes sense why Arizona and Hawaii don't observe DST. But Minnesota?

And the MN flag? It's offensive and "too jumbled". Its design, a madhouse! Of course this idea is from DEMS. How could it not be?

MSNDoes MN need a new flag? It’s too jumbled, some lawmakers say — and not so woke.
On Tuesday, the first day of the 2020 Minnesota legislative session in St. Paul, a proposal that could lead to a new state flag was among those that Democrats brought forward.

No, they clarify, it’s not their Number 1 priority. (Maybe, but the DEMS will spend a lot of time puffing their chests out on this. DD)

But you always get some things that aren’t anyone’s top priority, but that you can agree on,” said state Rep. Peter Fischer, DFL-Minneapolis, the lead sponsor of a bill that would create a task force to look at redesigning the flag.
Need a woke state flag? Gotta have a task force!

Mr. Peanut's death postponed due to Kobe Bryant.

Collider: Mr. Peanut’s Death Was Inspired by ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
The plan was that Mr. Peanut’s funeral would be broadcast in a Super Bowl commercial during the third quarter of the big game, but the commercial and all promotional content has been paused indefinitely following the real-life death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant on Sunday.
[.]
Speaking with MSN before the commercial was pulled, Group Creative Director at Planters’ agency VaynerMedia [sic], Mike Pierantozzi, said the idea to kill off Mr. Peanut was inspired by Tony Stark’s death in Avengers: Endgame. No, really:

“We started talking about how the internet treats when someone dies — specifically, we were thinking about fictional characters, [like when] Iron Man died. When Iron Man died, we saw an incredible reaction on Twitter and on social media. It’s such a strange phenomenon.”
[.]
They went the somber route and took Mr. Peanut’s death incredibly seriously, hyping up his “funeral” that would be broadcast during the Super Bowl. The idea backfired, as we now know, and it’ll be curious to see if and when this “commercial” sees the light of day.

“We wanted you to know that we are saddened by this weekend’s news and Planters has paused all campaign activities, including paid media, and will evaluate next steps through a lens of sensitivity to those impacted by this tragedy,” a spokesperson for Planters reportedly said.

Maybe brands shouldn’t use death as a way to advertise their content? Just a thought.
The Death of Mr. Peanut Super Bowl ad which won't air due to the death of Kobe Bryant:

I'm undecided on which is the more stupid move, it's a coin toss. The ad agency so creatively bankrupt that they steal borrow a narrative as old as time itself with their best pitch being killing an iconic Brand character, or the company making the product that approves the killing of its iconic Brand character.

How hard is it to sell the Planter's brand?

A head's-up to Lucky the Leprechaun, Tony Tiger, the Trix rabbitMr. Clean and other Brand Characters out there. Beware if your employer hires VaynerMedia as their PR/Ad Reps.

Extortion...I mean... "financial settlements"...always fixes "trauma".

The Background of the Minnehaha Regional Park story.

Daily Mail: $170,000 compensation payout for four terrified Somali-American teens.
The families of four Somali-American boys have received a $170,000 settlement from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board after the group were held at gunpoint by local authorities.

Newly released police body camera footage shows the teens -  at the time ranging from ages 13 to 16 - being held at gunpoint and forcibly handcuffed on the ground during the July 2018 incident at Minnehaha Regional Park.

'We still deal with the fear and trauma of this incident, but part of the healing process is that we are getting justice,' Halimo Isse, mother to one of the boys, said to KSTP.

Each of the families will walk away with $40,000. The remaining money will go to the Minnesota chapter of the Council of American-Islamic Relations for their legal fees.

"Some President Retweeted something." Feelings were hurt.

@Down_Under Twitter:

President Donald Trump circulated a fake image on Monday depicting congressional Democrats’ top-ranked leaders in traditional Muslim attire in front of the Iranian flag, drawing criticism that he was promoting Islamophobic tropes.

The manipulated photo retweeted by Trump showed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in Muslim garb with the caption: “The corrupted Dems trying their best to come to the Ayatollah’s rescue #NancyPelosiFakeNews.” Trump, a Republican, had previously faulted Democrats for criticizing his administration’s targeted killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, but his use of Muslim imagery as part of that effort drew pushback from Muslim American advocates.
[.]
The image that Trump retweeted has been circulating on the internet for a few days. The Twitter account that Trump got it from has a history of tweeting in both English and Persian about Iranian issues, promoting pro-Trump content and criticizing U.S. Democrats.

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham defended Trump’s retweet of the image, telling Fox News on Monday that the tweet was intended to show Democrats “have been parroting Iranian talking points, and almost taking the side of terrorists and those who were out to kill the Americans.”

The alleged faked imagery...a doctored, manipulated photo...on the Internet...this is something new, then?

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, feelz marginalized by tweets and social media.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman said Tuesday during his testimony in front of the House Intelligence Committee that he feels “marginalized” by attacks in the media and on Twitter.

Vindman testified in an open hearing Tuesday as part of the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. At one point during the hearing, Ranking Member Devin Nunes mistakenly referred to Vindman as “Mr. Vindman” rather than “Lt. Col. Vindman,” causing Vindman to correct him.

Republican Utah Rep. Chris Stewart, an Air Force veteran, later questioned Vindman as to why he felt the need to correct a congressman for not addressing him by his proper military rank.

Do you always insist on civilians calling you by your rank?” Stewart asked.

“Representative Stewart, I’m in uniform wearing my military rank. I just thought it was appropriate to stick with that,” Vindman started. “The attacks that I’ve had in the press and Twitter have kind of eliminated the fact that — either marginalized me as a military officer or — ”

Stewart interjected that Nunes did not mean to disrespect him by not addressing him by his rank, and Vindman agreed.
Video via al-Reuters, ...that's "LIEUTENANT COLONEL", not 'Mister':

Washington Examiner: Vindman plays The Soldier Card in wearing uniform.
Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman chose to wear his military uniform while testifying before the House impeachment proceedings last month, sources said, prompting speculation about his reasons.

"He had a choice of what to wear, and I think he wore the uniform because it lends credibility to what he is saying as an officer," Alex Plitsas, a former Pentagon official, told the Washington Examiner.

An active-duty Army officer said: "Most of us in the military don't have that option of uniform or civvies. Vindman absolutely had a choice, and he ran with it."
[.]
It’s hard to get much respect like when you’re walking around the White House in a lieutenant colonel uniform,” retired Lt. Gen. Thomas Spoehr told the Washington Examiner. “So that’s why they generally want these guys to wear a coat and tie, because who knows how important this dude is. If you’re running a meeting, it’s hard to get respect as a lieutenant colonel, but if you’re in a coat and tie, nobody knows who the heck you are.”
Speculation why he wore the uniform? Ummmmmm...along the same reasons DEM John Kerry, (who served in Vietnam), reported for duty and why DEM Mikey Dukakis rode in a tank. It makes for good draahma.

Jordan Schachtel @ Twitter:

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman admitted that he had been offered to serve as minister of defense for Ukraine.

Vindman, 44, explained during his impeachment testimony that he had been offered the position three times but declined the position because of his loyalty to the United States. The lieutenant colonel was born in Ukraine, but his family immigrated to the U.S. when he was a toddler.

Vindman claimed he did not know why he was offered the high ranking position of defense minister.

Every single time, I dismissed it. Upon returning, I notified my chain of command and the appropriate counterintelligence folks about the offer,” said Vindman, later adding, “I think it would be a great honor, and frankly, I’m aware of service members that have left service to help nurture the developing democracies in that part of the world.”
So while he turned down the offers of becoming Ukraine's Defense Minister, he wouldn't see a problem accepting the position. Now that's...interesting.

Fired hockey legend Don Cherry on Tucker Carlson.

Celebrated Canadian hockey broadcaster Don Cherry isn’t backing down over remakes he made last weekend about some Canadians not honoring Canadian veterans by wearing a poppy.

Cherry appeared on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Tuesday to address the controversy, telling the host that the “silent majority” is behind him while “I stand by what I said and I still mean it.”

Sportsnet fired Cherry Monday after he made remarks about people who come to Canada and do not bother to remember the sacrifices of military veterans. His remarks were construed by some as an attack on immigrants.
[.]
The former color commentator, who first made his name as a winning coach for the National Hockey League’s Boston Bruins during the team’s halcyon years of the 1970s, wondered if the entire episode could have been avoided if he had said, “Everybody should be wearing a poppy.” He suggested “people are very sensitive … And that got me.”

Carlson disagreed about the issue being sensitivity. “Just to clarify, they’re not sensitive at all, they are fascist. They actually have no real feelings. They are faking their outreach. They’re trying to you because they want to assert power, because it makes them feel bigDid you mean to say something hateful?”

“No, I didn’t,” Cherry responded. “We are all immigrantsThe funny thing is, I never heard a thing that night. I heard it the next day. The silent majority, as you know, is always silent, and the other people, whoever they want it to be, they listen to them … This Saturday will be the first time in 38 years that I’ve never been on Hockey Night in Canada.”
Carlson is right, this isn't about sensitivity, it is fascism. The firing of Cherry is Sportsnet's ridiculous overreach in pacifism to Teh Always Offended Crowd.

NASA renames Ultima Thule due to Nazi connotations.

Arrokoth, formerly known as Ultima Thule.

Ultima Thule, the farthest cosmic body ever visited by a spacecraft, has been officially renamed Arrokoth, or "sky" in the Native American Powhatan and Algonquian languages, following a significant backlash over the old name's Nazi connotations.

The icy rock, which orbits in the dark and frigid Kuiper Belt about a billion miles beyond Pluto, was visited by the NASA spaceship New Horizons in January this year, with the first detailed images showing it consisted of two spheres stuck together in the shape of a snowman.

Its technical designation is 2014 MU69 but the New Horizon team initially nicknamed it Ultima Thule (pronounced Tool-ey) after a mythical northern land in classical and medieval European literature described as beyond the borders of the known world.

That name sparked a backlash, however, because it was co-opted by far-right German occultists in the early 20th century as the fabled ancient northern country of the "Aryan" people (the term they used to describe proto-Indo-Europeans).
Arrokoth, an ice world freed by NASA from its Aryan past.

Rood Math. Math problem upsets student and parent.

A representative from Merriam-Webster, speaking on behalf of the words 'Write' and 'Its', said, "We would like people to stop thinking we all look the same and have the same meaning."

A fourth-grader at a Utah elementary school says a problem on her math homework was offensive.

The math problem compared girls' weights, KSTU reports.

I didn’t like that because girls shouldn’t be comparing each other. I know it was a math problem … but I don’t think that was really OK," 9-year-old Rhythm told KSTU.

The question read as follows: "The table to the right shows the weight of three Grade 4 students. How much heavier is Isabell than the lightest student?"

I was shocked … I was shocked, honestly,” Naomi Pacheco, Rhythm's mother, said about the assignment.

Rhythm did not answer the question. Instead, she circled the question and explained why she would not answer it.

"What! This is offensive! Sorry I won’t write this it’s rude!" Rhythm wrote in response to the math problem.

“I can certainly see if a fourth-grade student did misconstrue that question. However, in math curriculum, wasn’t about body image — the question was about moving kilograms to pounds,” Melissa Hamilton, director of elementary teaching and learning, said.
