Bud Light can't give away beer!

HITC: Bud Light offering $20 rebates to flog beer after controversy.

Bud Light is practically giving away beer with $20 rebates at certain stores as they try and sell crates following the controversy.

[... and] backlash for partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

People have seen the notices at Meijer, Kroger, and other stores, and have taken to Twitter to share photos of the rebates.

Here’s one:

I've been sober for almost a decade, so I'm not sure on this, but ain't a case like $20 most places?

Things can't be going great if they're basically giving it away… pic.twitter.com/aeCgHjlnEe

The Bud Light marketing team must still be all women if they think a coupon will get a man’s attention,” she amusingly wrote in the caption.

What’s a coupon?” one man joked in the comments.

Another said: “We hate rebates, too much work.”

Literally never used a coupon in my life, so yeah this checks out,” a third person added.

A great time to be alive in an era of Bad Marketing and PR!

New plant-based bottles will degrade in a year.

Oh no! We'll need to find a new global pollutant!

Beer and soft drinks could soon be sipped from “all-plant” bottles under new plans to turn sustainably grown crops into plastic in partnership with major beverage makers.

[Avantium] biochemicals company in the Netherlands hopes to kickstart investment in a pioneering project that hopes to make plastics from plant sugars rather than fossil fuels.
[.]
“This plastic has very attractive sustainability credentials because it uses no fossil fuels, and can be recycled – but would also degrade in nature much faster than normal plastics do,” says [Avantium’s chief executive, Tom van Aken].

Avantium’s plant plastic is designed to be resilient enough to contain carbonate drinks. Trials have shown that the plant plastic would decompose in one year using a composter, and a few years longer if left in normal outdoor conditions. But ideally, it should be recycled, said Van Aken.
From "kickstart 'hopes to'" to "finished, completed successful product" is a long, long road.

If the new degradable bottles are successful, will that mean an end to all the ugly park benches made from recycled plastic? Awwwww, that's a shame.

Beer delivery by remote controlled car...because of social distancing.

While the coronavirus pandemic is affecting nearly every aspect of our lives, some are finding ways to connect with their neighbors -- while maintaining proper social distancing. Eric Trzcinski of Richfield is the perfect example of this.

Trzcinski was recently driving home from work when he had this creative idea for sharing a beer with his neighbor across the street. Trzcinski is a car guy -- and strapped a spare exhaust tip from his collection to the back of his remote control car using zip ties. The exhaust tip was exactly the right size to hold a bottle of beer.

After loading the exhaust tip with a Corona (yes, that was intended), Trzcinski called his friend Trevor Reinke across the street -- and told him to shoot video after Trzcinski's garage opened. The result is the video above -- Trzcinski's RC car driving across the street and delivering a cold one to his buddy.

Raise the New York beer tax, suggests Brooklyn DEM Harvey Epstein.

It may be one of the few taxes in which New York state’s bite doesn’t rank among the nation’s highest.

Now, some New York City lawmakers want to more than double the state’s beer excise tax to provide more money for the State University of New York system.

The excise tax, paid by beer distributors, is currently 14 cents per gallon. Bills introduced ahead of the upcoming State Legislature session would raise that to 30 cents per gallon (that matches the state’s current excise tax on wine).
[.]
The Assembly sponsor of the bill, Brooklyn Democrat Harvey Epstein, estimates the increased beer tax would boost the state’s revenues from about $45 million to $96 million per year.
[.]
[Said Paul Leone, executive director of the New York State Brewers Association], “It doesn’t make sense to increase the tax on a successful industry that is still growing to support another." [...] “This tax on business will absolutely cost jobs and slow the industry,” he said.
Harvey's Web site. You can contact him there AND join his email list (...and who wouldn't want to hear from Harvey on a regular basis?) I'm sure his email newsletters make for fascinating reading.

Disabled Students Exploited by Parents of Stupid, College-bound Liberal Kids.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...the sweet effect of Full Circle Liberalism. From the Liberals who pontificate that the "playing field" must be somehow politically leveled so that everyone has equal access to [whatever]. Equal access for everyone...except for themselves.

U.S. News: The affluent exploit disabled students.
"For every student admitted through fraud, an honest and genuinely talented student was rejected," [said U.S. Attorney for District of Massachusetts Andrew Lelling].
[.]
...parents were told by the witness, referred to as CW-1, who founded the Edge College & Career Network, also known as The Key, to have their children "purport to have learning disabilities" so they could get the medical documentation and then request to take the exam at one of two test centers the witness controlled
A list of some of the high powered names who resorted to bribery and scamming in order to get their not-so-intelligent LiberTard kids accepted into prestigious colleges.

And oh! The whining of (at lease one) Liberal politician. No one saw this coming (ahem...)

Consider DEM Congressman Yimmy Gomez. Well, Mr. Gomez is "pissed off." Newsweek:
Rep. Jimmy Gomez from Los Angeles said he was “pissed off” at the college admissions scam, of which two of the stated schools — UCLA and USC — are in his backyard.

Frankly, I’m pissed off!

I worked 2 jobs and went to a #CommunityCollege so I could go to @UCLA and the @Kennedy_School.

How many kids who share my story were robbed of THEIR opportunity by parents who bribed their way through the system?”
But - - - Liberals are Entitled, Mr. Gomez. You know this.

I haven't searched around Teh Social Media, but condemnation of those involved in this scam from the SJWs must be loud, vocal and outraged. Kind of like the outrage displayed at the initial reporting of The Covington Catholic Students. These "voices" must be screeching at the same level of objection, right? Why...the "Outraged Crowd" wouldn't be a bunch of hypocrites...would they?

It's sad when a Liberal feels "robbed", isn't it? We all feel their pain.

Sometimes, it's not only okay enjoying teh Schadenfreude, it's spooky ghost ecto-plasmic spontaneous enjoyable Schdenfreude.

Here's to good times...
