[Jeff Damer, the creator of the controversial float, said], ""I just wanted to put it out there, it was just my view that I feel that they should be charged, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton[.]"
Damer's float has stirred up a lot of talk on social media. Highmore Mayor Vikki Day says city officials have received a lot of messages from people who think she shouldn't have allowed the float.
"My stance, and the city's stance is that every person has a right to the first amendment, to express his or her speech, and the expressions of it, we do not regulate that," said Day.

South Dakota blogger Kevin Woster, who thinks the float came off very offensive.
"Well when I saw that, to me it was objectionable," said Kevin Woster, opponent of Damer's float.
Good for Mayor Vikki Day!
And now for sad, miserable, easily-Triggered Snowflake Kevin Woster:
Kevin Woster imagines "threats" everywhere. Read the link at
South Dakota War College:
"RCJ's Kevin woster [sic] threatened wih [sic] assault by Katus supporter at Adelstein announcement".
Spelling and capitalization aside, that post title or headline has to be one of the worst I've ever seen, structured grammatically as poorly as possible, conveying nothing. "By PP." Congrats! It either took a lot of thought, or none.
"A tale of weirdness," related by Kevin Woster. Uh-huh. What colors were the unicorns and the mermaids, Kevin? Kevin Woster...sufferer of Pussyextremititis. Here, Kev, you and your fellow Soth dkotans help yourself to as many as needed:
Now, about that name, the South Dakota
War College. That's a very hurtful, oppressive and insensitive name. It needs to be changed. Maybe,
Peace College? Doesn't that name just give everyone the moisties?
