Gov Timmy Walz's 1:30AM presser.

I did stay awake long enough watching Timmy Walz's 1:30AM presser earlier this morning.

Newsweek: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz 'Fully Mobilizes' National Guard for The First Time in State's History.
During a press conference Saturday, Gov. Tim Walz told reporters that the worsening violence in Minneapolis was "no longer in any way about the murder of George Floyd. (It only took him four days to recognize this. He's improving! - Drake)
[.]
...Walz said: "There is no mayor in America that has the resources to push back against an organized attempt to destabilize civil society with no regard for life or property.
Walz basically said "we" .... "we" being his administration and the admins of St. Paul mayor Melbin Carter and Minneapolis mayor Soy Boy Man-Child Jacob Frey ... were unprepared, overwhelmed and didn't respond quickly enough. Isn't this always the pattern of how liberals react during a crisis?

Walz also seemed to finally grasp the concept that rioters and looters - many who traveled here from out of state - have nothing in common with those who are peacefully mourning and protesting the death of George Floyd.

Frey spoke for a few minutes. He was a cheerleader, saying, "we're better than this. This is not what Minneapolis is about." His performance would have been more believable if he'd had some pom-poms shouting, "siss-boom-bah, yay team." He said nothing substantive.

They..."they" being Walz, Frey, Carter and the entire Liberal political establishment in Minnesota ... saw the spark, did nothing, allowing the fire to spread. Then, when it became an inferno, they realized action needs to be taken.

KSTP has continual coverage.

Minneapolis and St. Paul burn. 8PM curfew ignored. Gov. Walz MIA, fails the people and state.

@ mnhousegop, Kurt Daudt (R) Leader and member of the the Minnesota House of Representatives from District 31A:

MN DEM Gov Tim Walz... he's MIA. Hasn't been seen since this afternoon's news conference:

Timmy's tired. Banning attendance at places of worship took everything out of him.

Reports on local scanners are reporting crowds, protestors and rioters moving towards the Minneapolis PD 5th Precinct, which is due south of Minneapolis downtown proper.

Fire departments and police squads are not responding to calls. The National Guard - which Walz activated yesterday, "to protect Minnesotans' safety...and maintain peace" - is also MIA.

Atlanta deployed SWAT and other units in the streets and appears to be doing a far better job in keeping law and order than in the Twin Cities.

Minneapolis Soy Boy Mayor Jacob Frey and St. Paul Mayor Melbin Carter have both been invisible since mid-afternoon.

Medical examiner concludes George Floyd didn't die of asphyxia.

Washington Examiner: Medical examiner concludes George Floyd didn't die of asphyxia.
In the charges brought against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on Friday, a new finding shows the county medical examiner concluded the death of George Floyd was not a result of asphyxia or strangulation.
[.]
The full report by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office is pending but so far has found "no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation."

Floyd's underlying health conditions included coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease. The report says the underlying health conditions, combined with Chauvin's restraint and any possible intoxicants in Floyd's system, likely contributed to his death.
[.]
Floyd's detainment revolved around an account of forgery when a local business owner thought he had handed him a counterfeit bill to pay for his purchase.

Amy Klobuchar declined to prosecute Derick Chauvin, officer at center of George Floyd's death after previous conduct complaints.

DEM U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN)

The Week (via Archive Yahoo): Amy Klobuchar declined to prosecute officer at center of George Floyd's death after previous conduct complaints.
George Floyd's death in police custody is renewing criticism of Sen. Amy Klobuchar's (D-Minn.) prosecutorial record. Before she became a senator and a top contender for former Vice President Joe Biden's vice presidential spot, Klobuchar spent eight years as the Hennepin County attorney, in charge of prosecution for Minneapolis. And while in that position, Klobuchar declined to prosecute multiple police officers cited for excessive force, including the officer who kneeled on Floyd's neck as he protested, The Guardian reports.

Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derick Chauvin saw at least 10 conduct complaints during his 19-year tenure before he was fired Tuesday, according to a database that documents complaints against police. In particular, he was involved in the shooting death of a man who had stabbed other people before attacking police, as well as some other undisclosed complaints. Klobuchar did not prosecute Chauvin for the first death, and he was later placed on leave when he and other officers shot and wounded a Native American man in 2011.

As The Washington Post noted in March, Klobuchar "declined to bring charges in more than two dozen cases in which people were killed in encounters with police" as Hennepin County attorney. Instead, she "aggressively prosecuted smaller offenses" that "have been criticized for their disproportionate effect on poor and minority communities," the Post continues. And as Klobuchar undergoes vetting to become a possible vice presidential candidate, that track record is being scrutinized and criticized once again.
While there are other stories similar to the above, what's interesting is that the original story, reprinted at Yahoo has been removed. This story appeared on Yahoo on May 28, and in one day they spike the story? Why?

The Yahoo URL: https://news.yahoo.com/amy-klobuchar-declined-prosecute-officer-183728902.html?soc_src=hl-viewer&soc_trk=tw

Klobuchar now is busy back-peddling her past failures in prosecuting abusive behavior and tactics used by police officers. She's still hoping she'll be Joe Biden's vice-presidential candidate. She should give up on that dream.

Instead, her eight years as Hennepin County attorney needs to be examined and she needs to be held accountable for her failures. This won't happen, she's a Democrat. She'll skate free by playing her Liberal Privilege Card.

Amy Klobuchar, hypocrite and liar. Why is she so dismissive of allegations Joe Biden sexually assaulted Tara Reade?

It's different when the person accused of sexual harassment is a Democrat, isn't it, Amy? Why does Amy support Joe Biden but not Tara Reade? Why was Amy so venomous to go after Brent Kavanaugh but all Joe Biden has to say is, "I dindunuffin," and that's sufficient for Amy?

Why isn't Amy Klobuchar giving Tara Reade the same respect she insisted be given to Dr. Christine Ford? You'd have to ask Amy:

@ MSNBC Twitter

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) stated that the misconduct allegation against 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden “has been investigated.”

Klobuchar said, “He has said, and I agree with this, you’ve got to get to the bottom of every case and all allegations. I think the New York Times — I haven’t read all the stories. I read that one. Your viewers should read that. It was very thorough. They interviewed people. And I have done a lot of work on this. I actually led the effort to change the rules in the U.S. Senate so that it is easier to bring these cases forward and so that we have taxpayers not paying for bad conduct. I think this case has been investigated. I know the vice president as a major leader on domestic abuse, I worked with him on that. And I think that, again, the viewers should read the article. It was very thorough.”
"Viewers should read the article. It was very thorough." A total lie from Klobuchar. They NYT never formed anything conclusive in their story about Tara Reade's allegation that Joe Biden forcibly and sexually assaulted her.

Breitbart: Fact Checking 3 Falsehoods in Biden Campaign’s Tara Reade Talking Points.
CLAIM #1: The New York Times conducted a “thorough review” of Reade’s allegations.

VERDICT: False.
[.]
CLAIM #2: The Times’ reporting “has led to the truth: this incident did not happen.”

VERDICT: False.
[.]
CLAIM #3: There has never even been a “hint” or “rumor” of similar behavior from Biden “ever” in history.

VERDICT: False.
Klobuchar doesn't care about women being abused unless it helps further the Liberal Political Narrative or if it can be used as a smear tactic against any political opponent.

Klobuchar still thinks she's got a shot at being Biden's running mate. She can dream on in her own little snow-globe world. I still maintain Biden won't be the candidate. He'll drop out citing, "health concerns."

Do you know how Klobuchar is pronounced in Minnesota? Mondale.

Amy Klobuchar can't name president of Mexico. Either can Tom Steyer.

2020 Democratic hopefuls Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer both couldn't name the president of Mexico when asked during a Telemundo interview while campaigning in Nevada this week.

"I forget," Steyer said when asked. Klobuchar offered a simple "no" in response.
NewsweekUse Jokes About Trump During 2020 Election Campaign, Amy Klobuchar Says: 'Show How Absurd He Is'.
Amy Klobuchar said the "ability to make a joke" is important for Democrats hoping to beat President Donald Trump in November, and argued they must "poke" at the commander-in-chief.

The Minnesota Democrat told Reuters before the January 14 primary debate in Des Moines, Iowa, that going into a head-to-head with Trump "without some animation" would be a "problem," and said it would be necessary to "show how absurd he is."

But she also said it would be important to ignore the president. "First of all, you have to have that ability to make a joke or poke at him or just show how absurd he is.["]
Yeah, the ill-tempered Senator Eats Salad with Fork and Throws Paperclips at Staff is in no position to poke fun at others.

California's new gun control measures.

Newsweek: California Just Passed a Slate of New Gun Control Measures, Expanding Red Flag Laws and Tightening Sales.
California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a sweeping package of new gun legislation into law Friday.
[.]
The new laws expand on the state's use of gun violence restraining orders, more tightly regulate firearm parts and restrict sales of semi-automatic weapons.
[.]
One bill sponsored by California Assemblywoman Jacqui Irwin expands the maximum length of time a protective order can remain in effect from one year to five. This means that a judge under California law can order the confiscation of a resident's firearm for up to five years if "clear and convincing evidence" shows that the weapon will be used to cause injury.

Residents subject to an order may petition the court for its early termination once a year while the order is in effect if they believe the evidence against them is no longer "clear and convincing."

The constitutionality of these orders, commonly known as "red flag" laws, has not been firmly established.
[.]
Another bill signed by the governor expands the list of people who may petition for a red flag order. Currently, only police officers and family members may, but soon teachers, employees, employers and coworkers will also be able to seek temporary firearm confiscation.
[.]
One of the other prominent reforms that Newsom signed will apply the state's one-handgun-a-month rule to semi-automatic centerfire rifles.

Amy Klobuchar, her Uncle Dick, his deer stand and gun confiscation.

DEM presidential candidate Amy "does this hurt my Uncle Dick" Klobuchar

She is so far less intelligent than anyone will admit and than she wants you to realize.

(CROSSTALK)

[CHUCK] TODD:
Thank you, Congressman O'Rourke.

Hang on. Let me give 30 seconds, Senator Klobuchar, the iron range. I'm curious. Gun confiscation, right? If the government is buying back, how do you not have that conversation?

KLOBUCHAR:

Well, that's not confiscation. You could give them the offer to buy back their gun.

But I'll say this. I look at these proposals and I say, does this hurt my Uncle Dick and his deer stand, coming from a proud hunting and fishing state? These proposals don't do that. When I was a prosecutor, I supported the assault weapons ban. When I was in the Senate, I saw those moms from Sandy Hook come and try to advocate for change, and we all failed. And then now these Parkland kids from Florida, they started literally a national shift.

You know why? It's just like with gay marriage. When kids talked to their parents and their grandparents, they say I don't understand why we can't put these sensible things in place, they listen. And if we get bested by a bunch of 17-year-olds...

TODD:

All right, Senator, thank you.

KLOBUCHAR:

... it's the best thing that ever happened. We need to get...

TODD:

Senator, thank you. Senator, thank you.
Todd was trying to save Klobuchar from herself by attempting to end the dialogue. But she just couldn't stop swallowing her foot.

Gun confiscation, her uncle Dick and his deer stand, and analogies between the Second Amendment and gay marriage. I am shocked she failed to manage working in the words, "Trump Bad."

Klobuchar, desperate in promoting the falsehood that the Second Amendment has anything to do with hunting, fishing (because who doesn't use guns while fishing?), her Uncle Dick and his deer stand, or "assault" rifles.

Sri Lanka terrorist attacks on Easter. Who's noted this and who hasn't.

From RT: Easter tragedy: What we know so far about the deadly attacks in Sri Lanka.
Seven suspects have been identified and arrested as the death toll from the horrific church and hotel attacks in Sri Lanka climbed to over 200, with no group claiming responsibility. RT sums up what we know so far of the tragedy.

Explosions rocked three luxury hotels in the nation’s largest city, Colombo, and three packed Catholic churches across the country on Sunday morning. This was followed by two additional explosions at different sites. The tragedy occurred as Christians were gathering for Easter Sunday Masses.

Seven people have been arrested in connection to the attacks, the government confirmed. State Minister of Defense Ruwan Wijewardene earlier told reporters that all of the perpetrators “have been identified,” and will be caught no matter what “religious extremism they are following.”
[.]
One of the suicide bombers checked into the Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo under the name Mohamed Azzam Mohamed, Indian media wrote. He reportedly set off an explosive at the hotel’s busy restaurant while standing in line for the Easter Sunday breakfast buffet.

Two more suicide bombers, who were behind the attacks on the Shangri La hotel and a church in Batticaloa, have also been reportedly identified as Zahran Hashim and Abu Mohammed, according to a report by an Indian News 18 TV Channel. No other details about the alleged perpetrators have been revealed so far.
At the time of publishing this post, the following people have taken time to mention this horrific attack on their social media accounts:

President Donald Trump

Senator Chuck Schumer

Congressman Jerry Nadler

Senator Bernie Sanders

The following people have not bothered to mention the Sri Lanka terrorist attack at all:

AmyKKKlobuchar "pledged" to serve her full six year Senate term.

From the infallible...Minnesota Public Radio:
Aug 22, 2018 MPR

When asked about her intentions, Klobuchar pledged to serve a full six years if she wins a third term this fall.

"Of course I will," Klobuchar said. "I think my track record shows that. I love working in the Senate. I love representing Minnesota."
She may well serve her full term in the Senate. I dislike the idea of a current elected official, especially someone who was just re-elected, spending the next two years (of their six year term) running for an office while retaining her Senate seat. And I hold the same standard to all political parties.

Yeah - she's tossing her hat into the 2020 presidential race. She'll make the official announcement this afternoon. This is based on info told to me from someone who knows someone who has the "inside" info.

Her goal is not the presidency. The reality of her being a viable presidential candidate is a joke. She's ogling for a slot at being named Vice President for some other Dem presidential candidate.

Grandstanding Amy Klobuchar's Two-Faced Double Standards

Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar again shows her double-standards and partisan hypocrisy.

Klobuchar asks, "What is [Kavanaugh] afraid of?"

Yet, on the issue of her fellow Lib, Keith Ellison's alleged abusive behavior  Amy is not-so-surprisingly evasive and seemingly unconcerned. Alpha News:
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) continues to dance around the allegations of domestic violence against attorney general candidate Keith Ellison, avoiding making any campaign commitments in an interview on Sunday.
[.]
Klobuchar indicated she would be comfortable voting for Ellison[.]
[.]
Klobuchar also dodged questions about campaigning with Ellison, saying she is currently focused on the hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
[.]
Democrats have avoided denouncing Ellison over the allegations, despite pressure from the Democratic ally National Organization For Women. Days after the allegations broke, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), in which Ellison is deputy chair, released a statement saying the allegations would be reviewed. However, weeks later, there has been no public update to the investigation.
Amy Klobuchar: Abusive allegations are subjectively partisan.
