Newsweek: Barge Hits Texas Bridge Causing Oil Spill.
The barge hit the bridge at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, The Associated Press reported, which caused a closure of the only road leading to the island.

According to the report by KHOU 11, the collision prompted a closure of both lanes of the bridge, which is the only road leading to Pelican Island. It will remain closed until it is deemed safe, the report said.

A huge container ship lost power near New York City's Verrazzano Bridge on Saturday - less than two weeks after a cargo vessel crashed into Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge.
The container ship APL Qingdao, which weighs a staggering 89,000 tons, lost propulsion around 8:30pm while travelling through New York harbor.
And just like that, many huge cargo container ships started losing their propulsion systems within a short time span of each other. The timing ... amazing! How is this one connected to Larry is what I want to know.
