7-year-old girl attacked with knife in Detroit.

NY Post: Deranged old man slits throat of 7-year-old girl playing in park.

“I was playing and then I saw like a man,” Saida told WXYZ Detroit, “I said ‘hi’ to him.”

That politeness gave no pause to Gary Lansky, 73, who proceeded to grab the girl’s head and pull out a pocket knife, according to authorities.

And he just put up my head and then he just slide the knife on my throat,” Saida told the station Thursday.
[.]
He came up to her out of all the kids, like why her,” [her mother Amira] Sharhan added, “It’s unbelievable. I don’t know how to explain it really.”

CBS News: Mother of 7-year-old girl attacked with knife in Detroit speaks out: "Why her?"

[...] she kicked him, ran home, and was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.

"They said that she's lucky, she's very lucky. It was really deep, the cut," Sharhan said.

The alleged attacker, 73-year-old Gary Lansky, is charged with assault with intent to murder and felonious assault.

The Michigan chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) believes the case should be investigated as a hate crime.

Click on Detroit: Family of 7-year-old ‘slashing’ victim at Detroit park calling for hate crime charges.

This is a hate crime. It’s not a random act of violence,” said Arab-American Civil Rights League Executive Director, Mariam Charara.

In this instance, CAIR and AACRL are spot on.

Lansky is - you guessed it - playing the Victim Card. He's old. He has dementia. He didn't know what he was doing. Really? He picked the little Muslim kid out of all the other children, slit her throat and didn't know and understand what he did? Hate Crime!

What's this from FB?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh...

You may recall last year's tragic stabbing of a Detroit Synagogue President, Samantha Wolf. This story received national MSM coverage several nights in a row breathlessly describing it as, "an apparent anti-semitic attack," until the investigation proved it was random, the attacker didn't know Ms. Wolf and didn't know she was  Jewish.

Narratives. Some are more newsworthy than others.

Total Hypocrisy and Guess What?

BBC: Body of Israeli shepherd, 14 found in West Bank

PM Benjamin Netanyahu called Achimeir's death a "heinous murder".
[.]
"The heinous murder of the boy... is a serious crime," Mr Netanyahu said in a statement reacting to the teenager's body being found near Malachi Hashalom.

It hasn't been determined who killed this sheep herder and Netanyahu - murderer of Palestinian children, civilians, humanitarian aid workers and his own people - refers to this as a, "heinous murder [and] a serious crime." That's a damn funny statement coming from Satan's offspring.

And now: Guess What? (Hint: Every Single Time).

Three dead in stabbing attack in Japan. 17 others injured.

Daily Mail: Schoolgirl and a man die and 17 others are injured after knifeman on stabbing rampage slashes commuters at a bus stop near Tokyo before slitting his own throat.
A schoolgirl and a man are dead and 17 others are injured after a mass stabbing near Tokyo on Tuesday morning.

A man wielding two knives slashed a group of commuters, mostly primary school girls, at a crowded bus stop during rush hour in Kawasaki, Japan.

The wounded were rushed to nearby hospitals, and one girl has been confirmed dead, according to local station NHK.

Police have confirmed the suspect, believed to be in his 40s or 50s, has died after slashing himself in the neck.

A bus driver who witnessed the incident told officials the perpetrator had been holding a knife in each hand when he walked over to the bus stop and began slashing children.

One witness told the New York Times the knifeman was shouting 'I will kill you.'

The young children are believed to be first-grade students aged six to seven who were boarding a school bus when the man unleashed his attack.
ABC News reports 19 wounded:
NHK TV in Japan is quoting police as saying the suspect in a knife attack that wounded at least 19 people at a bus stop just outside Tokyo has died.

Police wouldn't publicly confirm the reports and it wasn't clear how many had died in Tuesday's attack.
[.]
Some Japanese media outlets are reporting at least three deaths, while some are saying two, including the attacker.

EU (still) Making Sausages Reforms in Copyright Laws

This is a Must Read by, and at, Julia Reda.com
Article 13 is almost finished – and it will change the internet as we know it.

... EU copyright reform law have resumed: After missing the original Christmas deadline, negotiators for the European Parliament and Council are now aiming to finalise the text on January 21, 2019.

The negotiators have reached agreement on the core of Article 13, which will change the internet as we know it: They want to make internet platforms directly liable for any copyright infringements their users commit.

What remains to be decided: Exactly what lengths will platforms need to go to to avoid or limit their liability? Just how much they will need to restrict our ability to post and share our creations online?
