Why would The Widow Bono Cher Tweet this? She assumed it was true and, I'm guessing, The Widow Bono's Cher's motive behind her Tweet is that this (fictional) woman died because of the cost of insulin and that, of course, is the fault of President Donald Trump.

An email from FireEye sent Tuesday said "Due to an unforeseen circumstance, Secretary Clinton will no longer be able to participate in this year’s conference."

Who in the hell knows they're going to have an "unforeseen circumstance" three months ahead of time?

The Albuquerque Journal: California gas tax rises another 6 cents a gallon Monday.

California’s nation-leading gas prices are set to climb even higher Monday, when the state gas tax increases another 5.6 cents a gallon.

It’s the latest increase from a 2017 law designed to raise about $5 billion a year for road and mass transit programs.

A 12 cent-per-gallon boost came that November, and voters last year rejected a Republican-led effort to repeal the law. But Southern California voters did recall one Democratic lawmaker who helped pass the measure.

California motorists were paying an average $3.75 per gallon as of late June, far above the national average of $2.71 calculated by AAA .

The gas tax will increase to 47.3 cents a gallon July 1, according to the state Board of Equalization, and continue to increase indefinitely starting next year to keep up with the California Consumer Price Index.

Fret not, for I am sure, the additional tax revenue will be judiciously spent and the returns and impact from this investment will immediately benefit all of the taxpayers and welcomed immigrants in Cali.

Pregnant mom is London's 64th stabbing fatality this year.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman who was about eight months pregnant was stabbed to death on Saturday.

Paramedics delivered the 26-year-old woman’s baby as she was dying, after they found her at a residential address in Croydon, south London.

The child was taken to hospital and the Metropolitan police said it remained in a “critical condition”.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and is being held in custody while officers from of the Met’s Homicide and Serious Crime Command launched an investigation.

Pamela Buffone said her daughter became increasingly distressed and worried, asking if she could “go to a doctor” and saying she was “not sure if she wanted to be a mommy”.

The family are now asking a tribunal to ensure that classroom discussion does not “devalue, deny or undermine” biological reality.

The Week: Biden campaign denies they're 'freaking out' about his debate performance.

The Democratic presidential debate wasn't even over yet on Thursday before former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign was denying a report that they're "freaking out" about his performance.

Biden took fire from numerous Democratic opponents during the second round of debates on Thursday, most notably from Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), who in a pointed exchange challenged Biden's civil rights record and his "hurtful" comments about having worked with segregationists.

New York Magazine's Olivia Nuzzi subsequently reported that Biden's campaign is "freaking out," citing a source close to the campaign as saying debate watch parties have been playing poorly and bemoaning the fact that he didn't listen to debate prep because he's "set in his ways."

DEM Debate Clown Show Thursday; Two Questions that won't be asked tonight. Or ever.

 
These two questions will never be asked:

1) "What should be done to stop social media companies like Google from interfering in the election?"

2) "Who among the candidates will actively seek the endorsement of Hillary Clinton?"

It'll be all softball questions tonight.

Maybe they'll ask about Joe Biden's personal and family enrichment from the Ukraine. And his son Hunter's cocaine appetite. Cocaine appetite. Cocaine appetite. I doubt it.

OH...if a social media corporation had been found to be skewing and manipulating its results in favor of aiding and abetting the re-election of President Donald Trump. It would be the only topic for the two-hour discussion. The "outrage"...deafening.

St. Louis Park Will No Longer Say the Pledge of Allegiance at City Council Meetings. Who needs "standard rituals"?

Tim Brausen City Council Tim Brausen said “Our community tends to be a very welcoming and increasingly diverse community, and we believe our citizens will understand. I don’t think we’re going to be any less welcoming by not starting our meeting out with the standard ritual.”

The motion to remove the pledge passed unanimously by the city council. Star Tribune reports that roughly half the cities in Minnesota no longer start their meetings with the recital of the pledge of allegiance.

“We’ve had some racial equity initiatives going on in the city of St. Louis Park for awhile where we’re trying to get more diverse communities and historically less engaged communities to come and participate in our public process,” Brausen said. (Translation: "We're trying hard to make people who hate us hate us a little bit less." - DD).

Minnesota State Republican react: 

The Pledge is said at the start of council meetings. The simple and less complicated method to this Draconian "standard ritual" of reciting The Pledge could have been that those who don't want to participate in saying it is to show up five minutes after the start of the meeting. But that doesn't come anywhere close in pandering to Those Who Are Offended By Everything.

Hang on. Let me give 30 seconds, Senator Klobuchar, the iron range. I'm curious. Gun confiscation, right? If the government is buying back, how do you not have that conversation?

KLOBUCHAR:

Well, that's not confiscation. You could give them the offer to buy back their gun.

But I'll say this. I look at these proposals and I say, does this hurt my Uncle Dick and his deer stand, coming from a proud hunting and fishing state? These proposals don't do that. When I was a prosecutor, I supported the assault weapons ban. When I was in the Senate, I saw those moms from Sandy Hook come and try to advocate for change, and we all failed. And then now these Parkland kids from Florida, they started literally a national shift.

You know why? It's just like with gay marriage. When kids talked to their parents and their grandparents, they say I don't understand why we can't put these sensible things in place, they listen. And if we get bested by a bunch of 17-year-olds...

Todd was trying to save Klobuchar from herself by attempting to end the dialogue. But she just couldn't stop swallowing her foot.

Gun confiscation, her uncle Dick and his deer stand, and analogies between the Second Amendment and gay marriage. I am shocked she failed to manage working in the words, "Trump Bad."

Klobuchar, desperate in promoting the falsehood that the Second Amendment has anything to do with hunting, fishing (because who doesn't use guns while fishing?), her Uncle Dick and his deer stand, or "assault" rifles.

NBC/MSNBC Technical Difficulties best part of DEM Debate Wednesday night.

Other than the Tech Difficulties experience by NBC and MSNBC, the best moment was during the second half of Tuesday night's DEM 2019 Debate, Round One, when BOB O'Rourke, replying to NBC News Anchor Lester Holt, called him,  "John".

Technical Difficulties...priceless.
