A convicted cocaine dealer, who was given a second chance when his life sentence was commuted by former President Obama in 2015 is back in prison on attempted murder charges after he shot a woman, leaving her brain-dead, cops say. 

Alton Mills, 54, last made the news when Obama cut short his life sentence in 2015 after serving 22 years in jail for what were small time drugs offenses.

He received an sentence after being arrested in 1993 on federal conspiracy charges as part of a crack cocaine conspiracy.

His two previous convictions of possession of less than five grams of crack cocaine led to prosecutors filing a sentence enhancement, which saw him sentenced to life in prison without parole.

But he is now looking at another possible life sentence following an expressway shooting early on Sunday morning in the suburbs of Chicago. The victim, who has not been identified, is not expected to survive.

WHIO-TV (Yahoo): Hilton Hotel manager arrested for waking up guest by sucking on his toes.

A Hilton Hotel manager was arrested and charged Friday for entering a guest’s room and sucking on the customer’s toes.

David Neal, 52, was charged with aggravated burglary and assault for entering a male guest’s room and sucking on his toes Thursday, March 30.

Nashville Police were dispatched shortly after 5 a.m. to 121 4th Avenue South, where a Hilton Hotel resides, a spokesperson for the city’s police department stated.

While investigating a complaint, officers discovered that Neal, working as a night manager at the time, made a key card and entered the guest’s room.

The guest then woke up to find Neal sucking on his toes, which he immediately confronted.

The guest recognized Neal because the day before, he came into the room with another employee to fix an issue with the television, the spokesperson informed.

Neal claimed that he entered the room because he smelled smoke and was checking on the victim. However, the night manger did not report this issue to security. Furthermore, no other resident reported smelling smoke.

When officers asked where the room key was, Neal replied that he threw it away, the spokesperson said. The room key was never recovered.

Nashville Police Central Precinct detectives led the investigation and issued warrants against Neal.

He was arrested at his Lebanon, Tennessee, residence.

Neal is currently in jail, to be released on a $27,000 bond.

Despite many tests, doctors were unable to find the reasoning behind the child's symptoms and sent him off. But, when the four-year-old boy became more ill, Dr. [Meghan] Martin stepped in and discovered the culprit was a brush used to clean your grill and warned others about the 'lesson that could save your life.'

... after the tests came back, doctors had found the cause.

'We got our answer on the CAT scan. He had about a two centimeter metal wire that was lodged in the peritonsillar on the right and he'd started to develop an abscess around it,' she explained.

The doctor explained that the boy at[e] a hamburger at the barbecue and had swallowed metal wires from a grill brush that was lodged in the meat. 

Luckily, surgeons were able to remove the wire and drain the abscess, and the young boy's pain 'was totally resolved.'

Now, the doctor is making it her mission to warn others about the dangers of metal wire grill brushes.

'Do not use grill brushes with metal wires,' she said, explaining that the wires can become stuck in the soft tissues of the throat and can even cause bowel obstructions if accidentally swallowed.

Although incidents with metal wire brushes are rare, they have become exceedingly more common in recent years.

Instead of using a wire grill brush, experts recommend opting for non-wire brush, or a cleaning block, stone, or grill floss to keep your grill clean and avoid any trips to the emergency room.

Slay News: East Palestine Residents Give Grim Update after Toxic Train Wreck: ‘We’re Dying Slowly’.

Residents in East Palestine, Ohio have given a grim update on their declining health following the toxic train derailment earlier this month.

Locals in the small town, where a Norfolk Southern train derailed on February 3 causing a subsequent toxic explosion, say they are now suffering disturbing symptoms, the New York Post reports.

“Doctors say I definitely have the chemicals in me but there’s no one in town who can run the toxicological tests to find out which ones they are,” said 40-year-old Wade Lovett.

Lovett now has a high-pitched voice that sounds as if he’s been inhaling helium.

‘My voice sounds like Mickey Mouse,” he said.

“It’s hard to breathe, especially at night.

“My chest hurts so much at night I feel like I’m drowning.

“I cough up phlegm a lot.

“I lost my job because the doctor won’t release me to go to work.”

Many of them are facing health issues from the chemical fire as well as the psychic toll of their town becoming, in the words of a scientist visiting the area Thursday, the new “Love Canal” — a reference to the Niagara Falls, NY, neighborhood that became a hotbed issue in 1978 because people were getting sick from living above a contaminated waste dump.

Many residents are also complaining of mystery rashes and sore throats after returning home following the lifting of evacuation orders on February 8.

“Yesterday was the first day in probably three or four days that I could smell anything,” said Shelby Walker, who lives a few yards from the epicenter of the crash and explosion.

“I lost my smell and my sense of taste.

“I had an eye infection in both eyes.

“I was having respiratory issues like I was just out of breath.

“Other members of my family have had eye infections and strep throat.

“The cleanup crew drives past us at night and won’t even look at us.

“It’s like we don’t exist. No one has reached out to us or told us anything.”

According to an independent analysis of EPA data by Texas A&M University released on Friday, nine air pollutants were found around East Palestine at levels that could cause long-term health concerns.

According to Harvard-trained toxicologist, Stephen Lester, the hot zone at East Palestine is one of the “most concerning” he’s ever seen – and warned that the chemical dioxin that was released during the controlled burn will be embedded in the soil and water.

“Until the government takes this seriously there are going to be real problems,” said Lester.

“It’s criminal that the EPA didn’t come forward with information about dioxin and start testing for it.”

UPI: FDA authorizes first at-home test to detect both flu and COVID-19.

The Lucira test will be sold over-the-counter and it can detect both Influenza A and Influenza B, as well as the SARS-CoV-2 virus - the virus that causes COVID-19, FDA officials announced Friday in a news release.

The announcement marks a breakthrough as the first at-home test for flu, the Washington Post reported. Testing for the flu previously required a visit to a doctor's office or urgent care clinics.

Will a majority of people make a mad-dash, rushing to test themselves the moment they sneeze or have a runny  nose? Probably, based on the number of past, current and "I plan to take all future Coof Boosters" Jab Addicts and Mask-Karens.

Lucira. The FDA approved an at-home test from a company whose stock closed on Friday at .14 cents, whose all-time high of $37/share was two years ago and their  52W high is $5.67? Oh, yeah - full faith and trust, BAYBEE!

If I felt energetic, I'd search who the big buyers and investors of Lucira stock are the past 30-90 days. I wonder if Paul "The Hammer" Pelosi, Sr. or other spouses of politicians sank some $$$$$ into this Pharma Company?

With a 52W low of .04 cents, Lucira badly needed a Booster product. I wonder how many palms at the FDA and TPTB were greased? It'd be great if this product failed.
