Lightfoot becomes the first Chicago mayor to lose a bid for reelection in 40 years[.]
I'm surprised. I'd have figured the Chicago Dem Machine would've re-installed her.
Her finest moments of intolerance and rage can be viewed here.

Lightfoot's revenge: Busing illegals to Republican towns.
FOX News (Archived): Illinois mayor blasts Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's 'hypocrisy' after migrants shipped to 'Republican suburb'.
The Republican mayor of a suburban Chicago town is calling out Windy City Mayor Lori Lightfoot after over 60 migrants were shipped to his town and dropped off at a local hotel.
[.]
Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso, a Republican, told Fox News that the migrants are being used as "political pawns" by Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker.
..."at least 30 days." Uh-huh.
Meanwhile, in Chicago - and in cities across the nation - American citizens, some of whom are Veterans, are homeless and sleeping on the streets. Where are their hotel rooms, Lori?
Who's paying for the hotel rooms? Ha, we - the taxpayers. I wonder what the condition of this Hampton Inn will look like after 30 days?

Orland Park, IL Mayor Keith Pekau warns of upcoming 2023 $0 bail.
Pekau, a Republican leading the city of Orland Park, Illinois, said the 780-page bill was passed "in the middle of the night, with just 40 minutes of debate" and was purposely designed by Democrats to take effect on Jan. 1, 2023, after the midterm election knowing what it will do to escalate crime.
[.]
[...] Pekau said he felt compelled to speak out against the 2021 SAFE-T Act. He said the legislation will allow suspects charged with kidnapping – as well as second-degree murder, drug-induced homicide, aggravated battery, burglary, robbery and arson – to be released on $0.
"We already have this problem a little bit in Cook County, where they're letting violent criminals out on low bail or no bail. And you’ve seen what's happening in Chicago with crime and how much crime has spiked because of it," Pekau told Fox News Digital. "Like that policy on steroids is what this is. And it will be completely statewide, and it's a law. So it's not like the police can do anything."

Sanctuary City Mayor Lighfoot says it's "immoral and unpatriotic" to bus migrants to Chicago.
Breitbart: Democrat Lori Lightfoot: ‘Immoral, Unpatriotic’ to Bus Migrants to Chicago.
Chicago, Illinois, Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) now says it is “immoral” and “unpatriotic” for Gov. Greg Abbott (R) to bus migrants from Texas to the sanctuary city.
Initially, Lightfoot balked at the migrant buses by calling them “racist and xenophobic.” While visiting a shelter last week, Lightfoot called Abbott’s buses “immoral, unpatriotic” and claimed the operation “defies the values of who we are as Americans.”
Lori is mad. Oh, when Chicago City Limits suddenly become the Southern Border she gets hostile. Well, that's not very Sanctuary City of her. Where's Teh Love, Lori?
She has no answers, no plan. Not for Chicagoans or the newly arrived Vibrant mix of potential Democrat voters. Her go-to reaction always is to defensively lash out at people. It's her only game.

Chicago Mayor Beetlejuice is Above The Law. Unpaid traffic tickets and running red lights.
FOX News (Yahoo Archived): Chicago Mayor Lightfoot refusing to pay speeding, red light tickets as they pile up.
Multiple police-driven vehicles used to transport Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot have reportedly racked up multiple traffic tickets that have gone unpaid despite the mayor's advocacy for stricter speed cameras in the city.
Two of the SUVs used to shuttle Lightfoot throughout Chicago have accumulated three speed camera tickets and two warnings in the past month. The tickets have so far gone unpaid, CWB Chicago reported on Monday.
Additionally, CWB Chicago reported that one of the SUVs in the mayor’s fleet has a red light ticket that has not been paid and two SUVs that were previously assigned to Lightfoot’s security detail have outstanding speed and red light tickets.
One of those SUVs is eligible to be booted and impounded over the lack of payment.
As a "leader", Lightfoot sets high standards and examples for others to follow. A true role model for the young'uns.
Where's her cowboy hat? I think she should wear it all the time. It's gives her such a certain...je ne sais quoi.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot says carjackers do what they do because they feel unloved. Head of Chicago's film office beaten by three carjackers described as, "children".
Kwame Amoaku, 51, was appointed by Mayor Lori Lightfoot in July 2019 to head the city's film office.
On Wednesday morning he was attacked and beaten up outside his home, and his car stolen by 'three kids'.
Amoaku was taken to hospital where he was admitted to ICU and treated for head injuries, but is expected to recover.
Chicago police say that carjackings are up three percent, and 57 percent of those arrested are juveniles.
On Saturday Lightfoot told a forum of young people, assembled to discuss crime reduction strategies, that carjackings were because youth 'feel unloved'.
In February she blamed the rise of carjackings on remote learning during the pandemic.
The head of Chicago's Film Office was rushed to intensive care after being beaten by three car thieves described as children - as the very mayor who appointed him claimed carjackers only struck because they feel unloved.
Kwame Amoaku, 51, was attacked twice by three people just before 8am Wednesday morning outside his home in the centre of Chicago, near the National Museum of Mexican Art.
[.]
Chicago police reported that Amoaku saw three young men inside his car as he walked toward it at 7:46am, on the 2100 block of West 22nd Place.
He confronted the intruders, who then attacked him and fled in a gray Dodge Caravan that was waiting nearby.
Moments later, they returned to the scene, beating Amoaku a second time and robbing him, before driving off in his car.
'This AM I was attacked, beaten, and my car stolen by three kids,' he wrote on Facebook.
But were the "child" carjackers wearing MAGA hats?

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot gets a haircut!
It's called Liberal Privilege. It's a Perk!Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot took guff Monday for getting a haircut only a week after scolding the Windy City for not shutting down “non-essential” businesses, including barbers and beauty salons.
The celebrated first openly gay mayor was pressed by the Chicago media over the haircut she got over the weekend. But Lightfoot insisted that since she is the “face of the city,” she deserves to be excused from the governor’s orders to shut down non-essential businesses as a measure to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus.
The vain mayor told the media:
"I’m the public face of this city. I’m on national media and I’m out in the public eye.
"I’m a person who, I take my personal hygiene very seriously. As I said, I felt like I needed to have a haircut. I’m not able to do that myself, so I got a haircut. You want to talk more about that?"
[.]
But the mayor is not exactly practicing what she has been preaching, because she has several times scolded those Chicagoans who have been seen out in public “unnecessarily.”
Last week, Lightfoot aimed at Chicagoans, who insisted on walking, biking, and jogging on the city’s famed lakefront.
“Congregating on our lakefront, to be blunt, is going to create a risk that is unacceptable and could lead to death. That is why we are taking these actions and going back and saying again: dear god, stay home, save lives,” she said after a city employee reportedly died from the virus.
Indeed, after shutting down Chicago’s lakefront, Lightfoot sent out squadrons of Chicago Police officers to stand sentry to prevent people from using the paths, sidewalks, and lakefront facilities.
Lightfoot even scolded the media for simply talking about her haircut fiasco.
