Fearing the selection of Bernie Sanders as the Democrats’ 2020 presidential nominee, a growing number of establishment party officials are reportedly considering Sherrod Brown as a late-entry “white knight” with Michelle Obama as a running mate.Clearly, as with everything they do, DEMS haven't thought through the process of pairing these two potential candidates.
[.]
“If you could get to a convention and pick Sherrod Brown, that would be wonderful, but that’s more like a novel”, said Tennessee Congressman Steve Cohen.

[Other DNC] party officials suggested the former First Lady be selected as a vice presidential pick to unite the burgeoning left with the party’s moderates.
Philip Haney, who spoke out against his own agency during the Obama administration, was found dead in Plymouth, California last Friday.

His body was found in a park and ride area near Highway 16 and Highway 124.
-The Amador County Sheriff's Office initially said the 66-year-old was found with what appeared to be a 'self-inflicted gunshot wound'.
The sheriff's office have since described those initial reports as 'misinformation' and said they have asked the FBI for assistance in investigating Haney's death

They are conducting an autopsy and examining documents, a laptop and phone records found at the scene.
[.]
'Unfortunately, there was misinformation immediately being put out that we have determined Mr Haney's death to be a suicide. This is not the case,' the sheriff's office said this week.
'We are currently in the beginning phase of our investigation and any final determination as to the cause and manner of Mr Haney's death would be extremely premature and inappropriate.
'No determination will be made until all evidence is examined and analyzed.'
The sheriff's office has scheduled a forensic autopsy to be carried out on Haney's body.
They have also enlisted the help of the FBI to analyze documents, phone records and a laptop that were recovered from the scene and Haney's RV.
[.]
Several months before his death, Haney - who formally retired from the DHS in 2015 - told the Washington Examiner that he was considering a sequel to his 2016 book that detailed his experiences within the agency.
He had intended to publish it in mid-spring ahead of this year's election.
Source have also said that Haney had been in contact with officials about possibly making a return to the the DHS.
Read this post which contains information and links to news stories of friends of Haney he met earlier this week. He is described as, "never been happier."Haney, 66, "appeared to have suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound," the Amador County Sheriff's Office said in a release. Sheriff and coroner Martin A. Ryan shared the initial details of the case.
"On February 21, 2020 at approximately 1012 hours, deputies and detectives responded to the area of Highway 124 and Highway 16 in Plymouth to the report of a male subject on the ground with a gunshot wound," the release read.
"Upon their arrival, they located and identified 66-year-old Philip Haney, who was deceased and appeared to have suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound. A firearm was located next to Haney and his vehicle. This investigation is active and ongoing. No further details will be released at this time," the office added.

Haney, a former DHS agent, was also the author of "See Something, Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government's Submission to Jihad."
He was an outspoken critic of the Obama administration, specifically its handling of radical Jihadist elements and Islamic terrorism.

I think I will go to an isolated place near my home and shoot myself in the chest."Nowhere in the FOX story, or those I've read, states the entry point of the bullet. I just reproduced a comment. But the details of this story - he being as happy as ever earlier this week, to a "suicide" on Friday - come on. We've heard this too many times. Amid the chaos of the 2009 holiday travel season, jihadists planned to slaughter 290 innocent travelers on a Christmas Day flight from the Netherlands to Detroit, Michigan. Twenty-three-year old Nigerian Muslim Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab intended to detonate Northwest Airlines Flight 253, but the explosives in his underwear malfunctioned and brave passengers subdued him until he could be arrested. The graphic and traumatic defeat they planned for the United States failed, that time.
[.]
Just before that Christmas Day attack, in early November 2009, I was ordered by my superiors at the Department of Homeland Security to delete or modify several hundred records of individuals tied to designated Islamist terror groups like Hamas from the important federal database, the Treasury Enforcement Communications System (TECS). These types of records are the basis for any ability to “connect dots.” Every day, DHS Customs and Border Protection officers watch entering and exiting many individuals associated with known terrorist affiliations, then look for patterns. Enforcing a political scrubbing of records of Muslims greatly affected our ability to do that. Even worse, going forward, my colleagues and I were prohibited from entering pertinent information into the database.
Posted: Feb 22nd, 2020 - 10:44 amBizPac Review: Obama administration whistleblower found dead of reported gunshot wound.
reportedly [sic] found dead. Shot to death.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA- We’ve received reports that Philip Haney, a DHS whistleblower on the Obama administration, has been found dead.
We have not yet received independent confirmation from the Sheriff’s Department, but sources within law enforcement have verified that there’s a death investigation underway.
If you have seen a few episodes of Behind the Uniform or have ever watched Fox News, you probably recognize the name Philip Haney. He was the DHS whistleblower that dropped the hammer on the Obama administration regarding the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS.
He was also a friend to many at Law Enforcement Today.
Reports confirmed by anonymous sources to BPR have emerged that an Obama administration whistleblower who was completely dismissed and ignored by both congressional Democrats and their biased media allies has been found dead.More at Law Enforcement Today.
“We’ve received reports that Philip Haney, a DHS whistleblower on the Obama administration, has been found dead,” the website Law Enforcement Today reported Saturday afternoon.
“We have not yet received independent confirmation from the Sheriff’s Department, but sources within law enforcement have verified that there’s a death investigation underway.”
Philip served at the Department of Homeland Security for 15 years until he was reportedly pushed out by the Obama administration.
As of about 1:00 pm Saturday afternoon, no other reports or confirmations regarding his fate had emerged[.]
[.]
“Friends of Haney told us that they spoke with Haney earlier this week and he’d ‘never been happier,'” the news portal reported.
“They’ve suggested there’s absolutely no way he would have taken his own life… and reinforce that he’s had many enemies since he blew the whistle on the Obama administration.”
Including enemies in the media. Whereas media “journalists” have worshiped at the altar of the partisan whistleblower who last year filed an error-laden complaint about President Donald Trump with the chairmen of the House and Senate intelligence committees, they mostly ignored Haney when he first emerged publicly, though a few outlets did take the time to smear him as an Islamophobic bigot and loon.
“Close friends of Haney tell us that his wife lost her battle with cancer in 2019. Haney was engaged to be married later this year. The author of See Something, Say Nothing was preparing to go back on the road in advance of the upcoming election. He was currently living in California, just west of San Francisco,” LET’s report continued.
In 2016, Haney published a book, “See Something, Say Nothing,” that outlined the Obama administration’s attempts to block him from investigating Islamic radicalism because his investigations were inherently racist toward the Muslim community.
[.]
In an op-ed published at The Hill a couple of months after his appearance on FNC, Haney provided the full story behind what had happened during his time at DHS.
“After leaving my 15-year career at DHS, I can no longer be silent about the dangerous state of America’s counter-terror strategy, our leaders’ willingness to compromise the security of citizens for the ideological rigidity of political correctness – and, consequently, our vulnerability to devastating, mass-casualty attack,” he wrote.
The problem, he explained, was that then-President Barack Hussein Obama was more concerned with not offending the Muslim community than he was with protecting the American people.
For instance, he cited what happened in 2009, when an Islamic terrorist almost succeeded in blowing up a Northwest Airlines Flight headed from the Netherlands to Detroit.
Afterward, Obama publicly lashed out out DHS for having failed to “connect the dots.” But as noted by Haney, it was Obama’s own actions that had made it near impossible for federal officials to connect any dots anymore.
“Just before that Christmas Day attack, in early November 2009, I was ordered by my superiors at the Department of Homeland Security to delete or modify several hundred records of individuals tied to designated Islamist terror groups like Hamas from the important federal database, the Treasury Enforcement Communications System (TECS),” he explained. “These types of records are the basis for any ability to ‘connect dots.'”
But according to Obama, the records were essentially racist, as they’d been accrued through what he believed to have been racial profiling.
And so as the years continued, more and more information was slowly scrubbed.

Similar to Senator Bob Dole's 1996 presidential campaign, one of the more widely leveled charges against McCain was the issue of his age—he turned 72 in August and there was widespread concern about the idea of electing a man who would be 80 years old if he completed two full terms in office[.]With three 2020 DEM presidential candidates, there is no "widespread concern" over the their age. The DEMS are unconcerned over three of theirs on the doorstep of being 80. The media rarely mentions it either.
Synopsis of SB3313.A Senate bill in Illinois would ban the use or sale of gas-powered leaf blowers in the state.
SB3313 filed last week by Senator Laura Fine (D) of the 9th Senate District amends the Environmental Protection Act. It states that "a person may not operate or sell at retail a gas-powered leaf blower in the State. Provides that a person who violates the amendatory Act's provisions shall be subject to a civil penalty not to exceed $500."
The bill lists environmental and noise pollution as the reasons for the ban.
[.]
These emissions, the bill states, are a contributing factor to smog formation and acid rain.
[.]
In addition, it states that leaf blowers send dust and other small particles like metals, allergens, and animal feces into the air for considerable distances.
Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents' Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act[.]
[.]
Did you know? Presidents' Day never falls on the actual birthday of any American president. Four chief executives—George Washington, William Henry Harrison, Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan—were born in February, but their birthdays all come either too early or late to coincide with Presidents' Day, which is always celebrated on the third Monday of the month.
No, this is not a problem that "only manufacturers can fix". Not any different than blaming manufacturers of plastic and the hysteria of the pearl-clutching-crowd crying for bans on plastic bags and bottles. People use and buy based on their wants, needs and what they feel is a good return for their money. Much of it is packed with plastic.Hardware in general, and smartphones in particular, have taken over our lives so quickly that few of us have had the chance to think about what happens to them when we no longer use them. The answer is that they become a huge environmental and health problem in the Global South’s landfill sites.
We don’t hear much about this problem because it is out of sight, out of mind.
Electronic waste is currently 5 percent of all global waste, and it is set to increase exponentially as more of us own multiple smartphones, laptops and power banks—few of which are likely to be repaired or recycled at the end of their lives.
[.]
There is an almost limitless consumer demand for hardware, and governments do not have bottomless pockets, especially when their green policies are focused on more high-profile issues like carbon emissions.
[.]
Only the manufacturers can fix this, by creating a circular hardware economy.
Her bill contradicts what the Libs have been telling us for years; that abortion isn't about birth control. Even though we all know it is.In response to last year’s near-total (and temporarily blocked) abortion ban in Alabama, a state legislator has introduced a bill that would require a man to undergo a vasectomy, at his own expense, “within one month of his 50th birthday or the birth of his third biological child, whichever comes first.”
House Bill 238, introduced on Thursday by Rep. Rolanda Hollis (D) notes, “Under existing law, there are no restrictions on the reproductive rights of men.”
The bill, Hollis says in a statement she shared with Yahoo Lifestyle, “is meant to neutralize last year’s abortion ban bill, and sends the message that men should not be legislating what women do with their bodies.” Further, she told AL.com, “It always takes two to tango. We can’t put all the responsibility on women. Men need to be responsible also.”
The online backlash was swift, of course, with critics calling it “wrong,” “sick,” and “Communism,”[.]
Newsweek: Use Jokes About Trump During 2020 Election Campaign, Amy Klobuchar Says: 'Show How Absurd He Is'.2020 Democratic hopefuls Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer both couldn't name the president of Mexico when asked during a Telemundo interview while campaigning in Nevada this week.
"I forget," Steyer said when asked. Klobuchar offered a simple "no" in response.
Amy Klobuchar said the "ability to make a joke" is important for Democrats hoping to beat President Donald Trump in November, and argued they must "poke" at the commander-in-chief.Yeah, the ill-tempered Senator Eats Salad with Fork and Throws Paperclips at Staff is in no position to poke fun at others.
The Minnesota Democrat told Reuters before the January 14 primary debate in Des Moines, Iowa, that going into a head-to-head with Trump "without some animation" would be a "problem," and said it would be necessary to "show how absurd he is."
But she also said it would be important to ignore the president. "First of all, you have to have that ability to make a joke or poke at him or just show how absurd he is.["]
Mike Bloomberg is considering making Hillary Clinton his running mate, a source close to his campaign has told Drudge Report.
Polling found the Bloomberg-Clinton combination would be a formidable force to take on Trump in the race for the White House, the source said.

Bloomberg's campaign would not confirm or deny the reports when DailyMail.com reached out for comments.
Disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti was convicted on all counts Friday of attempting to shake down Nike for as much as $25 million over claims it illegally funneled payments to college basketball players.NY Post: Stormy Daniels says jury found Michael Avenatti’s ‘true character’.
“Sadly, it appears what Michael Avenatti did to me was just the tip of an iceberg of deceit,” wrote Daniels, a former client of Avenatti who claims he stole $300,000 from her and forged her signature, on Instagram.I read elsewhere (didn't bookmark the story), where Mikey complained he found his mattress at the MCC uncomfortable and that he's chilly at night. That. Is. So. Sad.
“I am not surprised his dishonesty has been revealed on a grand scale,” she said[.]

“His arrogant, fraudulent and overly aggressive behavior became so pervasive that the jury found his true character,” she added[.]
Courthouse News Service: Bloomberg Blamed End of Redlining for 2008 Collapse.Ninety-five percent of murders — murderers and murder victims — fit one M.O. You can just take the description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, 16-25. That’s true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city. And that’s where the real crime is. You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of people that are getting killed. You want to spend the money on a lot of cops in the streets. Put the cops where the crime is, which means in minority neighborhoods.
[Bloomberg]: “Redlining, if you remember, was the term where banks took whole neighborhoods and said, ‘People in these neighborhoods are poor, they’re not going to be able to pay off their mortgages, tell your salesmen don’t go into those areas.'”
He continued: “And then Congress got involved — local elected officials, as well — and said, ‘Oh, that’s not fair, these people should be able to get credit.’ And once you started pushing in that direction, banks started making more and more loans where the credit of the person buying the house wasn’t as good as you would like.”
Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden spoke in Hudson, New Hampshire, this week and told attendees that it is “rational” to prohibit “50 clips in a weapon.”
Ryan Saavedra quoted Biden maligning the absence of “a rational policy” that makes it illegal to have “20, 30, 40, 50 clips in a weapon.”
[.]
[Biden] made reference to gun owners who quote Thomas Jefferson’s statement on the tension that exists between free men and the rulers who wish to subjugate them, a statement that includes Jefferson’s observation that “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.”
Biden then said, “Those who say ‘the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots’ — a great line, well, guess what: The fact is, if you’re going to take on the government, you need an F-15 with Hellfire missiles.
There also were lighter issues on the calendar — for one, whether to make daylight saving time permanent in the state. Another would look into redesigning the state flag.More "Common sense" gun
On Tuesday, the first day of the 2020 Minnesota legislative session in St. Paul, a proposal that could lead to a new state flag was among those that Democrats brought forward.Need a woke state flag? Gotta have a task force!
No, they clarify, it’s not their Number 1 priority. (Maybe, but the DEMS will spend a lot of time puffing their chests out on this. DD)
“But you always get some things that aren’t anyone’s top priority, but that you can agree on,” said state Rep. Peter Fischer, DFL-Minneapolis, the lead sponsor of a bill that would create a task force to look at redesigning the flag.
The Open Source Election Technology (OSET) Institute began its Twitter thread Sunday...
[.]
"Deja Vu; this time in NV," OSET's first tweet read. "Let's be clear from the start: their's is an 'App' and no designation of 'tool' changes that. Let's stop playing word games here. The fact that its pre-loaded & may not use mobile connectivity is the only 'difference.'"
[.]
OSET also wrote that the same issues with the app used in Iowa appeared to be present with Nevada's tool: "lack of adequate testing (all aspects); transparent code vetting; training (read the article in #1 above) [sic]; security audit; and above all, resiliency planning."
The organization also called for the NDP (NV Democrat Party) to be more "transparent," and an answer a plethora of questions about the tool: Who developed the tool? Who has tested it? How it will be used to report the results of the caucus?
"In short, if the DNC & NDP want to improve *trust* in all of this, then do the right things," OSET suggested.
[.]
The institute predicted that "the DNC & NDP will *not* engender any trust by failing to completely answer these questions" and that there will be problems with the app on Caucus Day.
"Please prove us wrong," read the final tweet in the thread.
Another volunteer, who asked for anonymity to speak openly about the training process, said the general sentiment in the room at the training was frustration and confusion. But it's a "Newly Unveiled" Shiny, Blue, Bouncy Ball! It's... Newly ! Tastes Great! You'd never know you're drinking instant coffee!
Trump will seek to make a 21 percent cut in foreign aid in the proposal, which seeks $44.1 billion in the upcoming fiscal year compared with $55.7 billion enacted in the fiscal year 2020, an administration official said.21%. It's a good start. I can't wait to hear the excuses from the DEMS telling us why this is such a bad idea.
Aid to Ukraine would remain at its 2020 levels under the new proposal, the official said.
"A monochromatic subset." Okay, then. Instead the DEM candidate should be...uh...the polychromatic Mike Bloomberg?Iowa is way too white to have so much influence. So is New Hampshire, for that matter. As a party with a diverse electorate, the Democrats should not be spending so much time and money catering to such a monochromatic subset.
[.]
There is a strong argument to be made that no single state deserves to hold the rest of the electorate hostage the way Iowa has for decades.
[.]
So, thank you, Iowa. This may be the most you have taught the electorate in a long while. Now take your bows, and step aside.
That's all the excerpt required. Blame Iowa. The App bio-hazard is their fault.Iowa’s tech problem.
"Demanded." Who does she think she is? The always prayerful Nancy needs to learnFacebook and Twitter refused to take down a video showing Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripping up President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech that was edited to appear as if she was doing so as Trump saluted a Tuskegee airman in the audience.
[.]
A fierce behind-the-scenes dispute between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and Facebook erupted into public view Friday, as the speaker’s office demanded that Facebook remove a video posted online by President Donald Trump.
[.]
Within hours, the speaker’s office was demanding both social media companies remove the video, arguing it was unfair to Pelosi, who actually stood and applauded the airman during the speech.
Both Facebook and Twitter decided against removing the Trump video, although the companies cited different reasons for their decisions.
[.]
“If Nancy Pelosi fears images of her ripping up the speech, perhaps she shouldn’t have ripped up the speech,” said Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. government on Thursday began enforcing restrictions on flavored electronic cigarettes aimed at curbing underage vaping. But some teenagers may be one step ahead of the rules.A "buzzy product." I can't stop laughing at that.
Parents, researchers and students warn that some young people have already moved on to a newer kind of vape that isn’t covered by the flavor ban.
These disposable e-cigarettes are sold under brands like Puff Bar, Stig and Fogg in flavors such as pink lemonade, blueberry ice and tropical mango.
Critics of the FDA policy fear teens will simply switch to the cheaper disposables, which are widely available at convenience stores and gas stations.
“They are very accessible and seem to be the new buzzy product,” said Dr. Karen Wilson, a tobacco researcher and pediatrician at Mount Sinai’s medical school in New York.
The FDA confirmed that the flavor restriction won’t apply to “self-contained, disposable products,” but only to rechargeable ones that use pods or cartridges prefilled with a nicotine solution.
Maybe Nancy can find some papers to rip up to vent her "stunned-ed-ness".House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded to news that President Trump relieved impeachment witness Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman of his White House duties by saying that she was “stunned” to learn such a “patriotic person” had been fired.
“What a patriotic person,” Pelosi said. “This goes too far.”
Pelosi on WH removing Vindman from NSC:
I’m stunned by it. I’ll talk to my colleagues. They have concerns about (President Trump’s) interventions with the military.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham praised the decision and told her viewers that “getting rid of radicals” is the right move.
"Get rid of the radicals undermining from within and replace them with people who believe in your agenda, Mr. President," Ingraham said on her show Friday night.
"During an extended back-and-forth on race issues at the Democratic presidential debate on Friday, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders went for the finish line. "We have a racist society from top to bottom," he declared. He said it's in the healthcare system, criminal justice, the economy, and everywhere else.Constant Socialist fear-mongering, on every issue, and denigrating an entire country - from Bernie, again. It doesn't matter who you are, your color, race, background - nothing. You're Racist. Bernie said so. His internal focus groups must have told him, "run with this and we'll see how it plays."
I won't analyze the psychology behind calling an entire country, whose people you want to like you, racist. I don't think I'd like what I'd find. But in fairness to Sanders, this is largely what the social justice faction of the Democratic Party, the most powerful faction, needs to hear.
If Democrats aren't talking about oppression, grievance, and victimhood as it relates to race, gender, and sexuality, are they really saying anything at all?
Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign appears to have edited a video from a CNN town hall to add audience applause in a version it posted online.@ CPD Action Twitter (video and Tweet):
The Buttigieg campaign posted a clip from a May 2019 CNN town hall ahead of another town hall Thursday night.
[.]
At that point in the edited video, the audience appeared to have broken out into thunderous applause, but in the unedited version, Buttigieg actually continued talking.
So it was a calculated, not spontaneous, act of vindictiveness, disrespect and disdain not only for those whose name appear on those pages, but also reflective of her true nature. She is consumed with rage and contempt for the very office she holds, those of her colleagues, The President, the invited guests at the SOTU and her precious three-but-equal branches of government. Imagine how she feels about all of us in "flyover country." Or, we can ask her constituents that are homeless, living and sleeping in the streets. They can tell us all how she's helped them.House Speaker Nancy Pelosi apparently made tiny tears in her copy of President Trump’s State of the Union address — so that her speech-ripping moment could go off without a hitch.
As Trump introduced cancer-stricken radio host Rush Limbaugh — who received the Medal of Freedom during the speech — Pelosi could be seen grabbing the pages off the table.
Video shows her making what seemed to be a tearing motion and then placing the pages back on the table.
Photos of the sheets of paper show them face down on the table with small slits on the side, near where Pelosi would eventually rip them into pieces.
Vice President Mike Pence, who was seated next to the California Democrat, told “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday that it felt like she’d planned to rip the speech because “it felt like such an immediate moment.”
Pelosi’s office didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
"Enough is enough",? Oh, Hell No. The Clown Show just keeps on rolling, getting better and better!Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez called on the Iowa Democratic Party on Thursday to “immediately begin a recanvass” in the state after the caucus disaster earlier this week. “Enough is enough,” Perez tweeted, citing the “problems that have emerged in the implementation of the delegate selection plan and in order to assure public confidence in the results.” The Daily Beast reported that a DNC aide defined Perez’s “recanvass” as a hand audit of caucus math worksheets and reporting forms to make sure that they were correctly tallied and reported in the telephone intake sheets and caucus reporting app.
Roll Call: Senate votes to acquit Trump on both impeachment charges.[FOX] Anchor Chris Wallace asked, “Do you believe that Donald Trump is unfit to serve as president and should be removed from office?”
Romney said, “I do believe he should be removed from office. That’s the vote that I will take in a while.”
It's interesting that it was only last week that the JUNIOR Senator from Utah - (I read somewhere Romney hates being referred to as the JUNIOR Senator so let's all plan on using that when we write about him) - said he wanted the Senate to call witnesses because he felt there was more information needed. How quickly he decided today that he didn't need any additional info. The Senate voted 48-52 to reject the House’s abuse of power charge and 47-53 to reject the obstruction of Congress charge.
[.]
Utah Republican Mitt Romney became the only Republican in Congress to defy Trump during the inquiry and trial, casting a vote to convict the president on the charge of abuse of power.
Leaders of the Democratic tech firm that was behind the Iowa caucus app debacle openly expressed their hostility toward Bernie Sanders supporters on a regular basis, according to a new report.Well, that doesn't sound like Democrats, does it? Giving up on a brand new, shiny tech App? Usually, we can count on DEMS to keep doing what they've done in the past, even when they know whatever it is doesn't work. Often, DEMS throw more money at whatever "it" is, hoping that will fix the problem. Rare that they abandon something just because it fails, epically, the first time.
