They focussed [sic] in particular on cases where the inflammatory heart conditions developed within 28 days of either an initial or second vaccination shot.

By the end of the study period, the researchers reported, 81 percent of the subjects had been vaccinated.

Overall, the team identified 1,077 cases of myocarditis and 1,149 of pericarditis among their four study cohorts.

Examining those subjects who had been jabbed, the team found that the likelihood of developing myocarditis was higher following a second dose of coronavirus vaccine.

Specifically, the risk appeared to increase by 75 percent with the BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine, and 557 percent with the Moderna vaccine.

Moreover, the team found that myocarditis risk following two jabs was highest for young men between 16–24 years of age.

The researchers wrote: “Results of this large cohort study indicated that both first and second doses of mRNA vaccines were associated with increased risk of myocarditis and pericarditis.["]

“For individuals receiving two doses of the same vaccine, risk of myocarditis was highest among young males after the second dose.

When the thief reached the vehicle, which turned out to be stolen, he raised a firearm and cautioned the victim to retreat.

SPD said the victim turned away from the suspect and later heard a gun discharge as the suspect’s vehicle sped away.

Soon after, officers received a radio broadcast that a man had arrived at First Hill Hospital with a gunshot wound to his head.

“Officers went to the hospital, found the injured man was wearing the same clothing as the suspect in the earlier burglary. Police believe the suspect accidentally fired his handgun while climbing into his van, striking himself in the head,” SPD said in the Blotter. “Officers also learned the suspect’s van was reported stolen and had been used in another crime outside of Seattle. Additionally, the suspect is also a convicted felon, unable to legally possess firearms.”

The unnamed suspect is still being treated for the gunshot wound. He faces a number of charges, which include burglary, felony harassment, possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Once he is medically cleared the suspect is expected to be booked at the King County Jail.

Over 100 people who were on a Carnival cruise ship have tested positive for COVID-19, overwhelming the ship, which docked Tuesday in Seattle.

Passengers infected with the coronavirus have spread out, going to hotels in the Seattle area to wait out the virus and quarantine, according to a report.

"As soon as I got diagnosed with COVID, I did not feel safe," one passenger said.

"They didn't have enough staff to handle the emergency that was happening, period," the passenger continued. "They were overwhelmed, and they didn't have a backup course in how to handle about 200 people affected with COVID. We all suffered."

Another passenger echoed the sentiment that the crew was not ready for the surge in cases.

"I think that they were unprepared. I think they were understaffed. I think that they were overwhelmed," according to the passenger. "I don't think they had clear guidance as to how to handle this."

During the experience, passengers said they waited hours for food, could not get properly isolated, and that it has hard to reach medical staff. 

Carnival's policy requires proof of "vax" and a negative test prior to embarking.

Bedingfield is fully vaccinated and boosted but reported to be suffering mild symptoms. She is not considered a close contact of the president.

A climate activist who lit himself on fire on Earth Day outside the United States Supreme Court Building has died, according to reports.

Wynn Bruce, 50, of Boulder, Colorado, died Saturday, a day after he set himself ablaze in Washington, D.C., the Metropolitan Police Department told Fox News.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on the plaza in front of the court building.

He was airlifted to a local hospital, where he died.

A Facebook page belonging to a person named Wynn Bruce said he was a Buddhist and a climate activist.
