Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau displays energy conservation during visit to White House.

AFP via Yahoo: Trump, Trudeau mend fences at White House meeting.
President Donald Trump hosted his Canadian counterpart Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday to mend fences after last year's diplomatic meltdown and to push the still un-ratified North American free trade deal.
[.]
"With over $2 billion of cross border trade every single day, we can't overstate how important free trade is to the Canada-US relationship," Trudeau told reporters after the meeting.
[.]
Trudeau, who faces his own federal elections in October, clashed repeatedly with Trump last year, with the two countries briefly engaging in a trade war over steel and aluminum.

SCOTUS rules Bladensburg Cross stays; decicion 7 to 2.

SCOTUS decision 7 to 2 !  Not even close.

NY Daily News: Supreme Court rules giant cross can remain on public land.
A controversial concrete cross honoring fallen soldiers can remain on public land in suburban Washington, the Supreme Court ruled Thurs`day.

In a 7 to 2 decision, the justices reversed a lower court ruling that found the giant cross standing 40-feet tall at a traffic intersection in Bladensburg, Md., was an unconstitutional religious endorsement.
[.]
The decision was a final rebuke of the 2014 lawsuit filed by the American Humanist Association that argued the cross’ presence on public land, and the tax dollars used to maintain it, amounted to an unconstitutional endorsement of a single faith.

The group, based in Washington, sued along with local resident Steven Lowe, who lived 4 miles away from the cross and passed it about once a month.
[.]
...the lawsuit said. “As a non-Christian, Mr. Lowe is personally offended and feels excluded by this governmental message."
The American Humanist Association?  Who Dis?

And Who Dey? Dey be Dis fine group of folks.

Didn't search out Steven Lowe. Don't care. Tired of antics like this. "Mr. Lowe was personally offended." You see, he's never felt "excluded". Ever. Oh. Dat's. So. Sad. Pedo Tackled At Press Conference

A Twitter Social Media video shows a quick-thinking police sergeant tackled a man who had allegedly made suggestive comments to a young woman nearby - during a press conference. Detective Senior Sergeant Daren Edwards was speaking to reporters outside a police station on the Sunshine Coast in Australia when a man in a red hooded jumper appeared behind him, being chased by another man yelling 'you better get running, run, run, run!'. The top cop stopped mid-sentence and tackled the runner to the ground, right in front of the rolling news camera. Kevin Scells, who was pursuing the man, alleged the runner had made inappropriate comments to his 19-year-old daughter Charlotte.

School board votes to change the name of Linwood-Monroe Arts Plus. Drops Monroe.

KSTP: School board votes to change the name of St. Paul school.
At its Tuesday night meeting, the St. Paul School Board voted to change the name of Linwood-Monroe Arts Plus.

The change came after a community group raised concerns with the legacy of the school's namesake, President James Monroe.

The fifth U.S. President, Monroe, as with other earlier leaders in the county, was known for owning slaves.
No alternative or substitute Monroe at all.

Sea Lions never Liked Us. 13-year old girl attacked.

In what a fish and wildlife official called an extremely rare attack, a sea lion came out of nowhere and bit a 13-year-old girl above her right knee as she jumped around in the surf on a California beach.

The unprovoked attack on Megan Pagnini occurred Friday evening in Pismo Beach[.]

Illinois State Sen. DEM Julie Morrison, will confiscate your guns. SB107.

Illinois DEM State Senator Julie Morrison, the face and attitude of arrogance and imperialism.

Illinois State Sen. Julie Morrison (D) taunted a concerned gun owner during a town hall by telling him she might forgo fining him and simply confiscate his firearms.
[.]
The concerned gun owner pointed to SB107 and said the purpose of it was “to take away [his] semiautomatic firearms.”

Morrison then interjected that the purpose was not to take them, but to prevent any future sales.
[.]
The gun owner then asked, “If I get to keep it–if I pay a fine and register it–then, how dangerous is it in the first place and why do you need to ban it all?”

People in attendance applauded the gun owner’s point and once applause died Morrison said, “Well, you just maybe changed my mind. Maybe we won’t have a fine at all, maybe it’ll just be a confiscation and we won’t have to worry about paying the fine.”
You Tube: Illinois State Rifle Association

Read more here. And here. Read more about SB107 at The Telegraph:
Owners of existing weapons would be allowed to keep them but the weapons would have to be registered, and the bill would be severely limited in who they could be transferred to. Failure to register would be a felony.

Other bills would, among other things, require Firearm Owner’s Identification Card applicants to provide a list of their social media accounts to the Illinois State Police, revoke FOID cards for those reporting losses or thefts of firearms in three separate incidents within a two-year period, and place restrictions on ammunition.
Morrison - in EPIC FAILURE MODE - attempts to make an analogy between her idea of post-registration of an already, legally purchased gun to annual car license (tab) registration. As pointed out to her, one of those items is a Constitutional Right, the other is a privilege

Morrison's smarmy and disrespectful reply is Classic Fascism. I wonder if she's a vegetarian, virulently anti-tobacco, a teetotaler and a failed painter, like that other historic gun-grabber from history?

Gov. Tim Walz said Tuesday he is appalled by a state DFL Party staff member’s tweet referring to the recently launched USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul as a “murder boat.”

“Certainly, the disrespect shown is beyond the pale,” said Walz, who served in the Army National Guard.
[.]
Walz, speaking to reporters Tuesday, added his outrage over Davis’s original tweet, saying “There are those that use the military for political points on this, and this is not the place to express your opinion when it comes to the christening of a ship that will have our naval personnel on it.”

When asked whether Davis should be suspended, Walz declined to comment on a human resources issue. But he added, “Not as governor, but as a veteran and Minnesotan — not acceptable.”

The DFL has removed Davis from the communications role, but he will continue as research director.

However, Minnesota Republican Party Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan is “calling for his immediate firing in the aftermath of separate attacks against Republican candidates,” the Free Beacon wrote.

Linwood Monroe Arts Plus School name change considered because President Monroe was a slave owner.

The St. Paul Public Schools Board will consider possibly changing the name of Linwood-Monroe Arts Plus in a meeting Tuesday evening, after a community group raised concerns with the legacy of the school’s namesake, President James Monroe.

The fifth U.S. President, Monroe, as with other earlier leaders in the county, was known for owning slaves.

"We agree with the Monroe school and the parents who are for this that it is a problem," said community organizer Dave Bredemus. “I suspect James Monroe was very little talked about up until now, well it should be, it should be talked about a lot."
[.]
One option the alumni group discussed was possibly keeping the 'Monroe' name but naming it after a different 'Monroe.'

"It's been part of our history out here in West 7th street," said Al Hanzel, Class of 1960. “I didn't even know James Monroe was why the school was named.”

"This is what the devil is trying to do - to instil [sic] into the government, into this world, into society - and it is slowly happening," Folau said in his Sunday sermon at The Truth of Jesus Christ Church in Kenthurst.

"The sad thing is why a lot of people out there that are non-Christians say bad things about the church, is because a lot of the churches allow those things to happen.

"They say that a man and a man should be able to be married, and there is nothing wrong with it. This buys into the theme of pleasing man rather than pleasing God and standing up for the truth."

Ottawa picks 11 communities for pilot immigration project.

The federal government has picked 11 communities from across Canada to kick off a new pilot program aimed at attracting immigrants to rural and northern communities.

The goal of the program is to bring newcomers to regions confronting severe labour shortages due to a youth exodus, declining birth rate and aging population.
[.]
"The equation is quite simple. Attracting and retaining newcomers with the needed skills equals a recipe for success for Canada's rural and northern communities," [said Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen]. "We have tested a similar immigration pilot in Atlantic Canada and it has already shown tremendous results for both newcomers and Canadians," [said Hussen].

The selected communities are:

    Thunder Bay, Ont.
    Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
    Sudbury, Ont.
    Timmins, Ont.
    North Bay, Ont.
    Gretna-Rhineland-Altona-Plum Coulee, Man.
    Brandon, Man.
    Moose Jaw, Sask.
    Claresholm, Alta.
    West Kootenay region of B.C.
    Vernon, B.C.

The government will begin working with communities this summer to help them identify candidates for permanent residence as early as this fall. The first newcomers under the pilot are expected to arrive in 2020.
Hit the link, read the rest. Note another reason given for the need of this program is the 'Continued vibrancy of rural areas', which, according to the government, are declining.

David Hogg Survives #TargetApocalypse

C|NET: Target down (then back up) as cash registers fail and leave long lines.
Target's payment systems appeared to be missing the mark the day before Father's Day, as terminals went AWOL for a couple of hours in a number of the company's US retail outlets. The outage caused long lines but prompted an encouraging show of sympathy for Target employees from people on Twitter. And there were some jokes too, of course.

"We're aware that guests are currently unable to make purchases at Target stores," the company said in its own tweet Saturday morning. "Our teams are troubleshooting now and we apologize for the inconvenience. We will provide an update as soon as possible."

Then on Saturday afternoon, a Target spokeswoman said registers were "fully back online" and that the outage was caused by an "internal technology issue."

"After an initial but thorough review, we can confirm that this was not a data breach or security-related issue, and no guest information was compromised at any time," the spokeswoman said in a statement.
"I was home watching reruns of 'Saved By The Bell' when I heard the news Target cash registers crashed. I got on my bike, rode to the nearest Target store and immediately rendered aid to traumatized shoppers. They were standing in long lines. They couldn't check-out. It was chaos. Madness! We need  more common-sense cash register laws!"
- David Hogg

In a matter of a few hours, Target determined it was not a data-breach or security-related issue. In a few hours?

We know who did this...

"He pointed the gun at me and up he told me to sit down on the ground and get in my closet. I did that."

The suspect went into the living room to gather electronics, then went back to question Brayden.

"He found my phone on the counter, and he took the phone but he dropped it. And that's when I picked up my machete and hit him in the back of the head."

Jataveon Dashawn Hall, 19, was injured when 11-year-old Braydon Smith struck him in the head with a machete while Hall was trying to steal electronics from the boy’s home in Mebane, deputies and reports said.
[.]
Hall was later found by deputies at the emergency room at UNC Hospital in Hillsborough.

UNC Hospital in Hillsborough transferred Hall to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill because of his severe wound, deputies said.

“Hospital police were notified. They were to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Office prior to discharging Hall at which time deputies would pick Hall up and take him before a magistrate where … warrants would be served,” deputies said in the news release.

However, Hall fled the hospital sometime Friday “against medical advice,” deputies said.

Shortly before 8 p.m. Friday night, a nurse entered Hall’s room and discovered his bed empty. A review of videotape showed him walking out of the hospital wearing a hospital gown,” the news release on Saturday said.

His head was wrapped in a bandage when he walked out of the hospital. The SBI and the US Marshalls are assisting in the search for Hall.

It happened yesterday, in Rio Branco, in Acre, the burial of Rhuan Maycon da Silva Costa. The boy, only nine years old, was killed and quartered by his mother and Stepmom in Samambaia, in the Federal district, last Friday, 31. The plane that made the transfer of the body arrived in the Acrean capital around 1h15 yesterday and went straight to the cemetery. The wake began at 11am (13h, in Brasilia time). After the farewell, the family of Rhuan followed the police station to collaborate with the investigations of Deputy Guilherme de Sousa Melo, of the 26th DP, who traveled to Rio Branco to hear them.

The last tributes to Rhuan were accompanied by relatives and friends. By telephone, the boy's great-uncle, Lúcio Barreto, spoke exclusively with the Jornal de Brasília and said that the weather in the wake was of sadness, but without revolt. The mother's family, Rosana Auri da Silva Candido, who confessed the crime at the time of the arrest, was also present. Maria Antonia, maternal grandmother of Rhuan, Natalia, Samara and Thiago, uncles of the child, paid homage to the boy.

Lucius commented that there were no incidents with the presence of relatives of the perpetrator of the crime. "The wake took a very quiet way, there was no exaltation of any part. There was no hostility on our part about Rosana's mother, "revealed the man, brother of Francisco das Chagas, grandfather who had custody of the boy. According to Barreto, everyone was well before Rhuan's death. Rosana's mother, even, supported Maycon Douglas, the child's father, in the discussions for the boy's custody.

Responsible for the investigation, Deputy Guilherme de Sousa Melo, of the 26th police station, landed on the morning of this fourth in Rio Branco. According to him, the trip will serve to "trace the pre-and post-kidnapping environments." Melo met in the afternoon with the father and other paternal family of the boy. According to Lucius, the day was moved to Rhuan's family. At the time of the interview, the relatives were still in the precinct waiting to be summoned to testify. "We're up without eating, we left the wake and we only switched clothes at home to come and talk to the deputy," he said.

In line statements, Lucius was the fifth. The father, Maycon Douglas, was the first to speak with Deputy Melo. Francisco das Chagas the next, followed by Maria do Socorro (paternal grandmother) and Maria Antônia (maternal grandmother), the next. According to him, all the testimonies would follow the line of how it was Rosana's personality and her relationship with Kacyla.

Authorities present
The transport of the body – budgeted in R $4400 – was banned by the state Government of Acre and the public Defender of the federative unit. State deputies attended the funeral service and even the first lady of Acre, Ana Paula Correia Cameli, attended, accompanied by the Secretary of social assistance of Rio Branco. By telephone, Rhuan's great-uncle thanked the public authorities for action. "We have to thank the Government of the state that has helped us with all the expenses of transporting the body."

The case
Rhuan was asleep when his mother, Rosana Auri da Silva Candido gave him a stab wound to the chest. The boy's stepmother, Kacyla Priscyla Santiago Damasceno, choked the child while other blows the knife were given by the mother. After death, the couple tried to burn the young man's body, but without success. So, the two quarteted the boy and distributed the body in two school bags and a suitcase.

Ars Technia gets judgy while ignoring their child-perv writer Peter Bright.

No doubt - none at all - that Hensmeier is a reprobate. A 14-year sentence isn't long enough.

Ars Technia writer Peter Bright, aka DrPizza, Twitter profile: "Poly/pan/pervy".

But Ars Technia hasn't published a word about their (former? still on the payroll?) writer Peter Bright, aka Dr Pizza, charged with, at the very least, soliciting sex from children.

If you dig into Bright's Twitter account, which is still active, you'll find plenty of disturbing Tweets and information. Gee, you'd think Ars would cover a Tech-news story like that. Then again, Ars has been rapidly shifting Leftward over the past years, which is a shame.

A Conservative-leaning Tech blog? Who could even contemplate such an abomination?

Ars used to be one of the top go-to Tech sites back in the day. Unfortunately, that was more than a decade ago when they actually published articles focusing solely on Tech from a Tech perspective rather than Tech through a lens filter of what's popular, politically correct and unmistakably Leftist ideology. Ars is "Factual", as noted by Media Bias, as far as Tech goes. But Media Bias is only as reliable as we interpret their neutrality, or lack thereof. Right?

From Ars Technia, (April 2010): Do liberals only read liberal blogs?
This idea that the Internet might lead us simply to reinforce our own prejudices rather than challenge them has a long academic pedigree; University of Chicago law prof Cass Sunstein (now in the Obama administration) wrote about the issue in his 2001 book Republic.com.

Today is Flag Day and the birthday of President Donald Trump.

I was unaware the McCaininites wanted to co-opt June 14, attempting to make this day a topical trending social media phenom.

I don't think things went as they planned.

I like the Tweet from Amy@Right Hook USA:

John McCain? Who dis?

I suppose Pudges McCain was beside herself today. The universe revolves around her, you know. She's cereal...Super Cereal!

16 Members of Congress sign and send letter to Twitter for not doing enough in deleting accounts of Hamas and other terrorist organizations. Guess how many of the 16 are DEMS?

In the DEM-majority House, sixteen members of Congress signed and sent a letter to Twitter CEO Soy Boy Hipster Doofus Jack Dorsey.

WA Free Beacon: House Reps Demand Twitter Ban Hamas Accounts.
Members of Congress petitioned Twitter on Wednesday to ban accounts linked to several foreign terrorist groups, including the Palestinian Hamas organization, according to a letter sent to the social networking site.

The 16 lawmakers urged Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to remove "all content promoting terrorist activity," including banning "senior Hamas officials and associates from Twitter who radicalize individuals to incite violence against Israelis," according to a statement issued by the members.
[.]
While Twitter has taken steps to ban these accounts as they sprout across the platform, the lawmakers maintain that further action is warranted, particularly when it comes to terror groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and ISIS, all of which have used Twitter to promote violence and radicalism.

The lawmakers warn that if Twitter does not take action on its own, they will consider legislative measures to ban these accounts.

Here's the link to the three-page letter, signed by the following 16 members of Congress. These members represent a crisscross of the USA; from Cali to NY, from Colorado to Florida, from Arizona to North Carolina, among other states:

Lee Zeldin, Doug Lamborn, Joe Wilson, Bill Johnson, Scott Desjarlais, Randy Weber, Liz Cheney, Ted Budd, Doug LaMalfa, Scott Perry, Andy Biggs, Mark Meadows, Louie Gohmert, Francis Rooney, David Kustoff and John Ratcliffe.

Guess how many of the above are DEMS. Go ahead...Guess! You could click on the links to each of their names and find out. But you already know the answer.

Remember this come the 2020 election when your Congressional DEM public servant is up for election or re-election, and they state how, "tough and concerned they are on the issue of terror." Especially - and you can count on this - they will, in part, reply that "spending more resources investments of our tax dollars is what's needed in combating terrorism."

That might be a good time for asking them why they couldn't manage to pick up a pen and sign their name to the June 11, 2019 letter to Twitter and Jack Dorsey.

House DEMS Steny, McGollum and some-other-guy all find time and a pen, signing a letter asking President Trump not give a 4th of July speech, as many presidents have in the past. They can't throw down their signature on a letter requesting Twitter do more to silence and suspend accounts used by terrorist organizations and recruiters?

My desire in reading and being informed of local, national and international news is at an all-time low. I wish I'd never seen this story.

This story is receiving virtually no coverage by the MSM in the U.S., which is no surprise.

In Samambaia, a girl of eight years lived a routine of fear. Without going to school for at least two years, she left home just to go to church. Inside the residence he had little freedom and signs of ill-treatment were visible. The suffering came to an end yesterday morning, when the girl was able to find her father, the public servant Rodrigo Oliveira, who had been looking for her for five years. He learned of her daughter's whereabouts following the death of her 9-year-old brother, Rhuan Maycon, who was murdered by her own mother, Rosana Auri da Silva Candido, 27, and her companion, Kacyla Priscyla Santiago Damasceno, 28, mother of the girl.

Kacyla fled with her daughter from Rio Branco, in Acre, in 2014, along with Rosana and Rhuan. They went through dozens of addresses, such as Trindade (GO), Goiânia (GO) and Aracaju (SE), until arriving in the Federal District. Two months ago, they lived in Samambaia, in the house where the boy was murdered and quartered. It is not yet known if the girl saw the moment of Rhuan's death, but when she arrived at the police station, she made a drawing of a bloody body with organs outside. To the investigators of the 26th Police Station (Samambaia Norte), the women said that the girl slept at the time of the crime.

According to the Guardianship Council of the region, the two children were abused by the accused and forced to have sexual relations between them. They lived in private jail, according to the councilors. In the shelter, the girl thanked her for the meals and informed that she had only eaten bread for three days. About a year ago, Rhuan had his penis cut by women. The procedure was done at home and since then he has not gone to a health facility. To the agents, the accused told that the boy wanted to be a girl and, therefore, they would have mutilated him.

Rodrigo Oliveira, father of Kacyla's daughter, landed at Brasília International Airport at 8:30 p.m. yesterday. He then went to the police station in Samambaia to meet with the delegate and representatives of the Guardianship Council. A few minutes later, she went to the shelter where her daughter was, in Taguatinga. Quite agitated, with feet rested, cuts in the head and injuries in the neck, the small one, finally, was able to rediscover the father. Excited, he was not able to talk to the Mail team. "I was able to find my daughter because of a tragedy. This is not the ideal time to talk about it," he lamented.

Preventive
Rosana and Kacyla went through custody hearing yesterday morning. Both had the preventive detention ordered and were sent to the incarceration of the Department of Specialized Police (DPE). This week, they will be taken to the Women's Penitentiary of the Federal District. "They will respond for qualified homicide, for clumsy reason, with no possibility of defense of the victim, and for being a child under 14 years. The sentence ranges from 12 to 30 years in prison," informed the delegate at the front of the case, Guilherme Sousa Melo.

He adds that women will also be investigated for keeping children in jail and for personal injury. The investigator pointed out that there were suspicions that the boys had been attacked in Goiânia (GO), one of the addresses used by the accused during the escape period. Sousa Melo will go to Acre on Wednesday. "Let's take an external view of the perpetrators and the victim."

Kacyla's daughter will also be monitored in the coming days. An agent from the police station is scheduled to follow the girl's case. In addition, the Guardianship Council has guaranteed that it will follow the process, even in another unit of the Federation. The delegate will still talk again with his father and other relatives of the girl in Acre. "Everything has already been defined. Throughout this week, I will contact all family members," he said.

Funeral
"I want to give a dignified burial to my son," said Rhuan's father, Maycon Douglas Lima de Castro, 27. Unemployed, he despaired when he learned of the boy's death and because he could not afford to transport the body. However, according to the Guardianship Council, the Acre Justice will bear the costs of the transfer. "My boy was missing. We did everything to find him. I never gave up hope until my father called me and told me this whole story. It's still hard to believe," he said.

Maycon said he had a quick relationship with Rosana. "She lived at my parents' house along with Rhuan. I had been separated from her for five years when we decided to ask for custody. After that, she disappeared. Every time we found a clue, we traveled behind my son," he recalled. According to him, despair took over the family when the boy disappeared. "Everyone was very attached, so we never gave up looking for him," he said.

The man has two other children, from another marriage. Supported by his father, he tried to make a kitty to pay for the transport of the body, before he knew he would receive help. "I want to bring him to his land, where he was happy and play. Now, it's raining and it only reminds me of Rhuan, who loved to shower. After all, every kid likes it," Maycon said, unable to hold back his tears.

The Guardianship Council has said Kacyla's daughter will remain in the shelter indefinitely. Because she had been away from her father for a long time and because of the crime, she was still very scared at the moment of reunion. Organ teams will work to ease the situation. Rodrigo already had the guardianship of the daughter, therefore, there are no legal procedures in relation to this question.

Barbarism
Rosana and Kacyla murdered Rhuan late Friday night. The boy was asleep when he received several knife strokes. Then he had his face disfigured, was beheaded and quartered. The women even tried to burn his flesh on a barbecue so [they] could discard it in a toilet. However, they stopped because of the large amount of smoke.

They distributed the boy's body parts in a suitcase and two school backpacks. Rosana threw one of the items into a Fern culvert, but was seen by people on the street. Curious, they opened the object and found the body. The Civil Police was arrested and arrested the couple in the residence. Investigators do not rule out the possibility that the accused would do the same to Kacyla's daughter, who was asleep when the agents arrived.

Word of expert; Indications of psychopathy
"Diagnosis is very difficult, it depends on many evaluations. But for me, as a psychiatrist and as a person, it is clear that such an attitude is ill. And when you say that the person is sick, they think you are a poor person, and not necessarily the case, for example, when it comes to psychopaths. It is a very serious case, extremely bizarre, and it needs to be further studied. Infanticide is not so rare. But the picture draws attention because it involves, in addition to infanticide, extreme brutality, with penile pre-amputation.

"These two women, in other countries, would be sentenced to death or to life imprisonment. And, probably, if they are reinserted into society, they can cause problems. It is striking that a year earlier they had cut the boy's penis. It was not a slap, a kick, as in 99% of cases. Everything tends to lead us to frame them to the side of psychopathy."

Maycon Douglas Lima de Castro and his son, Rhuan.
If there is any justice in this world, Rhuan's mother Rosana da Silva Candido, and her lesbian partner Kacyla Damasceno Pessao, would spend the rest of their lives in a North Korean prison camp.

“It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.”
