1974, my first winter at Minot AFB, ND. My Crew Commander's house, in fact every house on the street, was buried under a snowdrift that started at the curb and went OVER the roof. All the doors were buried. He had to pry open the living room window and climb out into chest deep snow. When we got back three days later CE was still digging them out with front end loaders.
One of my (late) grandma's house back door & sidewalk was situated between her garage and a neighbors garage. It was in a wind drift zone. The snow would pile up over 6 feet. I was a teen...would go over there and shovel her sidewalk by hand. Heh. It took a while, including breaks to warm-up.

M D, that sounds like brutal, BRUTAL snowfall.
