RT: Israeli government shuts down broadcaster Al Jazeera.
The cabinet of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has unanimously voted to halt the operations in Israel of Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera, the government has said in a statement.
Israel has long accused Al Jazeera, which remains one of the few international news channels to have correspondents on the ground in Gaza, of showing bias against it and of cooperating with Hamas militants.
"...showing bias." Because reporting the Israeli-inflicted deaths on Palestinian civilians, children, the humanitarian aid of the (as Israel called it) "the mistaken killing" of World Central Kitchen volunteers and the deaths of Israelis by the IDF is, "showing bias." Another case of, "SHUTITDOWN! We can't allow truth to subvert the propaganda that Israel is the VICTIM!"
Truth and facts from reporters in Gaza might not be too flattering describing the ruthless tactics used by Netanyahu, his cult and the Israeli Military in testimony at the International Criminal Court if war crimes and genocide charges are brought against Satanyahu and his cabinet.
Recall early on in the war Israel denying they were using White Phosphorous in Gaza and Lebanon only to be confirmed they were using it? Uh-huh.
Amenesty.Org: Israel's unlawful use of white phosphorous.
Over 100 journalists from around the world - different backgrounds, different nationalities and including Israeli reporters - have been killed by the atrocities Israel is inflicting on Palestinian CIVILIANS AND CHILDREN. No outcry, no outrage at all. "Ho-Hum, Collateral damage, these things happen...", unless it happens and done by the U.S. Military in any conflict (Iraq or Afghanistan). Then the Left SCREAMS; "BUSH, CHENY CHENEY! WAR CRIMINALS!"
But U.S. politicians and others made sure to histrionically kvetch and moan on a daily basis with manufactured outrage and anguish on the death of Jamal Khashoggi, who wasn't much of a reporter or journalist, simply an occasional OP/ED writer.
Satanyahu won't allow facts and truth to override the narrative.

Euro News (May 5, 2024): Israelis rally to demand Gaza ceasefire and PM Netanyahu's resignation.
"We hope the world hears us and knows that the people of Israel are not the government of Israel," said one protester.
[Tens of thousands took to the streets in Tel Aviv] [... and] protested on Saturday night, calling for a ceasefire and the resignation of hardline Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
