MN Republican Elliot Engen dons Superman costume to save Minneapolis.
Not my Rep but WTF is wrong with MN "Republican" Elliot Engen?
KSTP: Walz urges lawmakers to take up rideshare legislation amid threats from Uber, Lyft.
[...] the Minneapolis City Council passed a new pay rate — meant to be an equivalent to the city’s minimum wage — for rideshare drivers who pick up, drop off or pass through the city. A 10-vote council majority overrode Mayor Jacob Frey’s veto.
While Lyft plans to end service only for trips that start or end in Minneapolis, Uber plans to cut options for the entire metro area, including Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
[.]
On Monday, House Assistant Minority Leader Rep. Elliot Engen, R-White Bear Township, filed a bill to try and preempt the Minneapolis City Council’s action.
Why try to preempt what is a city issue? Self-inflicted damage done by democrats and a guy with an R behind his name steps up to try and fix this? This isn't and shouldn't be a state issue, it should remain a city-by-city decision.
Never underestimate Republican's abilty at fucking up a Silver Platter handed to them by democrats. RINOs and Republicans do this; on local, state and federal levels. They fail to accept The Silver Platter handed to them. EFT!
Minneapolis and MN democrats dig a grave for themselves and MN RINOs leap in wanting to bail them out of a political blunder. Do you think if MN RINOs passed a bill that hurt them politically that MN democrats would step in, trying to help them? Hell No!
When democrats are digging themselves a grave, do NOTHING! Stand down, watch and let them.
I'll never vote for a MN Republican candidate again, ever. Won't be voting dem, but will happily vote for a Third Party candidate.
Maybe, if a time comes and the elected MN State RINOs number only a dozen, a new Republican brand, one that is Conservative and not UniParty, will form and emerge.

MN Gov. Timmy "Tub of Lard" Walz walks away, refusing to answer a question from a constituent.
The back story on the above is at Townhall.
The "funny" part about the above video is the person asking the question is a supporter of Walz. A democrat at Farm Fest, and an orgy of liberals congratulating themselves on how they've fucked over others; others who aren't part of their incestuous liberal cabal.
Lardass Tim always has time to talk...always. And he can drone on and on and on...find any of his pressers on You Tube and he's never at a loss for words. But not this time. Nope.
LardAss Tim also brags about his service in the National Guard. Oh, yeah, he's quite the Solder. Not.
He bolted from the NG the moment he learned his unit was scheduled to be deported to Iraq.
Alpha News (Archived): Tim Walz Is Misleading The Public About His Time In Service.
[Thomas Behrends, a retired Command Sergeant Major of the Minnesota National Guard] said, “Tim Walz has embellished and selectively omitted facts and circumstances of his military career for years,” said [Behrends], a retired Command Sergeant Major of the Minnesota National Guard.
Walz, 54, joined the Army National Guard when he was 17 years old, completing 20 years of service. In 2001, just days after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Walz re-enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard. He then retired in 2005 to run for Congress.
Behrends says Walz did serve a “long and honorable career,” but it is Walz’s stories surrounding his service post 9/11 that raises red flags.
The discrepancies in Walz’s story starts with how long he re-enlisted for. In 2006, as Walz was amid his first campaign for Congress, questions were raised about the timing of Walz’s retirement. Tom Hagen, a Minnesota military reservist who served in Iraq, sent a letter to the editor of The Winona Daily News questioning Walz’s sudden retirement after learning his unit would be deployed to Iraq.
“But even more disturbing is the fact that Walz quickly retired after learning that his unit —southern Minnesota’s 1-125 FA Battalion — would be sent to Iraq,” Hagen wrote. “For Tim Walz to abandon his fellow soldiers and quit when they needed experienced leadership most is disheartening. It dishonors those brave American men and women who did answer their nation’s call and who continue to serve, fight and unfortunately die in harm’s way for us.”
Read the full story at the link. Walz, like any democrat, is lying through his teeth about his "timing" and "reasons" of exiting the NG.
Minnesotans can't afford four more years of Lard Ass Tim as governor. Unfortunately, the "blue" cities and liberal institutions, along with likely thousands of questionable "ballots" will sadly re-elect this gigantic horse's ass.
Remember, out-state Minnesota...remember...to Walz, you are NOTHING but "rocks and cows."

Tim Walz: "I'm done!" Whines about not getting gas tax increase.
Gov. Tim Walz says he’s fed up with Senate Republicans’ blockade of his proposed 20-cent per gallon gas tax increase, so he’s taking the argument to their districts.
[.]
...the Democratic governor gazed into a giant pothole on Highway 47 in Anoka – a construction flagger held up traffic so he could do it – and said the real problem on that road was one of Minnesota’s most dangerous railroad crossings.
[.]
..."I am done trying to watch somebody jam an ideological peg into what is truly a practical situation that needs to be solved,” Walz said during a news conference in Anoka.
Well over a billion dollars, and then some, was allocated in 2018 for existing, ongoing and new road and transportation projects.
I don't know where to begin.
* What the hell was going on, then, for the past eight years under previous DEM Gov. Richie Rich? He was all "we need to fix our roads" and to repeat, he just finished two, four-year terms. Between having back surgeries, pretending to be an "average guy" who enjoys fishing and
* "...the Democratic governor gazed into a giant pothole." I'm attempting to exercise some diplomacy here, but WTF? Walz's Wiki bio says he was born in Nebraska. Married in 1994. Didn't see anything about WHEN he moved to Minnesota. But he's never seen a fucking POT HOLE before? He allegedly lives here, represented Minnesota in the U.S. Congress, claims he's familiar with the Midwest, and he's never seen a pot hole? Nebraska, what did Minnesota do to you that you inflict this guy on us?
I already miss Richie Rich. Walz has been in office for about three months and he's already been in front of a camera more than eight years of Richie. Listening to Rich, on camera or speaking publicly, was at least enjoyable because you didn't really have any idea what he was talking about or saying. That's because he didn't know either. And his slurring manner of speech and deer-in-the-headlights look is always entertaining. Walz? He whines like a little
MSN: Walz in love with gas tax increase.
Senate Republicans have dismissed the notion of raising the gas tax as a non-starter, especially with a $1.5 billion surplus.Yeah, MN Repubs, please DON'T FOLD ON THIS! Keep your spines in place and deny Walz his gas tax increase and his other grandiose plans he desires at the expense of taxpayers.

MN Gov Proclaims Diversity Exec Order
Gov. Tim Walz signed his first executive order Wednesday.
The order established the One Minnesota Council on Diversity, Inclusion and Equity.
It reportedly expands upon a council formed by former governor Mark Dayton in an effort to include individuals from different backgrounds throughout the state.
According to a release from Walz's office, the order he has signed is expected to further the council's mission, "expanding its scope to address geographic diversity as well as important considerations around equity in Minnesota."

MN Governor Switcheroo. Out: Mark Dayton Richie Rich; In: Another Tim"my"
Considering our last Tim, maybe the Minnesota Legislature can pony up a Bill, signed by the new Tim, decreeing no more governors in MN can have the name Tim. Or Timmy. Or any variation thereof.

Minnesota Budget Surplus $1.5 Billion. And it's gone.
Minnesota Gov.-elect Tim Walz says the projected $1.5 billion budget surplus shows a legacy of fiscal responsibility under outgoing Gov. Mark Dayton.

About that "legacy of financial responsibility" helmed by Gov
A Dem gov in MN leaves office and the incoming gov-elect is a Dem. Who would expect the inherited budget be anything other than glowing and sparkling?
