Steve Petersen, Shoreview MN, REEEES about Independence Day and "Muh Separation of Church and State!"
If anyone has ever doubted me about the incurable Mental Illness of Liberalism in The Twin Cities, let me introduce a Letter to The Editor to the Minneapolis Red Star Tribune (Archived).
Steve, there is no Separation of Church and State. It was mentioned in A LETTER from Thomas Jefferson, it isn't mentioned anywhere in the Constitution.
Searched Pew for “one in three no religious affiliation” resulted in one hit, Religion Among the Millennials, which doesn't state, anywhere, that, "one in three have no religious affiliation." That result, or study, is ELEVEN years old, btw, and focuses on Millennials. Of course, Steve doesn't mention either of facts in his letter.
His "statistic" from the Public Religion Research Institute yield NO results that backs his claim.
Shoreview is a suburb north of St. Paul, a ten minute drive. Shoreview used to be a nice city ten or fifteen years ago. It's been ruined by the mayor, a little piglet named Sandy Martin who's ruled the cit for far too long. Shoreview's state representative, is the Liberal Native American chubby Squaw Jaime Becker-Finn. It's sad, creeping liberalism is overtaking the suburbs because of people like this; people who lie and thrive off perpetuating political division and promoting racism.
Finn's dad, Harold "Skip" Finn was a filthy liberal who served in the Minnesota State Senate and was convicted of stealing $1 Million dollars from the Leech Lake Band, theft and mail fraud charges. Nice guy, huh? Does graft run in the Finn family?
Steve Petersen doesn't mention any of these things in his letter. They aren't aligned with his Liberal Lies and Disinformation.
Where'd you get those "stats" Steve, those from Pew and the PRRI? Pulled 'em out of your butt, didn't you.

REEEEEEE! The Daily Beast says "Separation of Church and State is Crumbling Before Our Eyes!" REEEEEEEEE!
The Daily Beast (Archived): Separation of Church and State Is Crumbling Before Our Eyes.
SCOTUS ruled religious schools should get public funds, and they’re about to strip away the right to an abortion. This is not Jefferson’s America.
- By David Rothkopf.
Bow your heads and say a prayer over the separation of church and state, may it rest in peace. Who knows, doing so may someday entitle you to a government subsidy.
"My article is about Church and State but I'm going to throw in abortion and a shitload of other unrelated items. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Hit the link if you have time to waste. It's an article that throws unrelated elements into one pot in an attempt to, again, play to The Left Choir that "Church and State" is in the Constitution! REEEEEEEEEEE! Muh Separation of Church and State!
Rothkopf makes multiple faux arguments that somehow "Church and State" is something Constitutional. It's not mentioned in the Constitution. At all.
This what Libs do all the time desperately trying to link the Establishment Clause to being a "Constitutional Separation of Church and State". Liberals make this failed analogy all the time, it's their faux-Textualism on full REEEEEEEEEEEE Display.
Separation of Church and State is mentioned in a 1802 letter by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association.

Barbra Streisand; a case of not keeping her mouth shut and letting people wonder if she's stupid (like most of us didn't already know), to saying and writing something, confirming she is clueless. And stupid.
“His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has," [Barbra] Streisand told The Times. “...we know she hasn't taken time reading The Constitution:
[.]
"[ I guess I blame the parents ]." (WTF! - D.D.)
[.]
Dan Reed, the director of “Leaving Neverland,” seemed shocked at Streisand’s comments. “'It didn’t kill them” @BarbraStreisand did you really say that?!,'” Reed tweeted Friday.
Others were equally outraged.

Gun Owner Registration Hearing on Wednesday; Washington Sheriffs won't enforce gun laws pending decision of constitutionality.
Washington, DC — House Judiciary Committee Chairman, anti-gun Democrat Jerrold Nadler, has called for a “mark up” hearing on House Bill 8, National Gun Owner Registration tomorrow in Washington, DC.More on HR 8 at The War On Guns.
A “mark up” hearing is where legislators from the committee in which the bill is assigned make changes [sic] and adjustments to a bill before voting on a final version and sending it on to the floor of the House.
[.]
H.R. 8 would turn gun owners into felons who transfer a firearm without first asking permission from the government.
Universal background checks will make FELONS out of gun owners who transfer a firearm without first obtaining government permission!

KING 5 News: Some Washington sheriffs won't enforce new gun laws.
Sheriffs in a dozen Washington counties say they won't enforce the state's sweeping new restrictions on semi-automatic rifles until the courts decide whether they are constitutional. No, the political grandstanding is in thinking a measure, or law, should be applied upon the immediate questioning of the Constitutionality and where its finality has not yet been decided. And, it doesn't hurt that the Grant County Sheriff is named Tom Jones.
[.]
"I swore an oath to defend our citizens and their constitutionally protected rights," Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones said. "I do not believe the popular vote overrules that."
[.]
"The political grandstanding is disheartening," said Renee Hopkins, chief executive of the Alliance for Gun Responsibility, which pushed the initiative.
