Former Vice President Al Gore said that “greenhouse gas pollution” was “boiling the oceans,” causing “rain bombs,” and creating “climate refugees” during remarks at a World Economic Forum (WEF) event in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday.

Gore joined a panel discussion ostensibly examining what the WEF and the White House regularly describe as a “climate crisis” driven by consumption of fossil fuels. One of the panel’s hosts framed it as a “planetary crisis” driving “mass extinction” while “really putting humanity’s future at risk.”

A new conservative action group has emerged, aimed at countering the rising tide of increasingly effective climate activism from children, most vividly demonstrated by Greta Thunberg at the recent UN Climate Summit

The newly formed Society of Pale Elderly Rightwing Males (SPERM) said in a statement today that their aim is counter what they say is the “hysterical” and “uppity” tone taken by child activists in recent times.

SPERM spokesperson Hector Daily said membership of his group has been burgeoning after a recent recruiting drive in retirement villages and nursing homes in Sydney, rural Queensland and several other places Alan Jones is broadcast.

Mr Daily said he wants to take this country back to a golden and more respectful time in our national history.

“Back in the old days,” remarked Mr Daily, “young whippersnappers knew that if they carried on with any of that bloody Thornbird [sic] palaver, they’d get a clip around the ears quick smart, by jingo, by crikey!”

“Carbon is bad, is it? Heavens to Betsy! Back in my day, all we had were horse-drawn drays. Breathing in carbon monoxide from a motor vehicle or diesel generator was like Christmas to us!”

“Kids these days don't even know they’ve been born,” lamented Mr Daily.

SPERM have been joined by the Carbon Appreciation Coalition of Australia (CACA) to launch a petition objecting to what it describes as 'all that silly nonsense and carry on'.

Global Warming increase caused by Netflix, binge-watching and porn.

Here we go...

Daily Dot: Netflix and porn addictions are contributing to global warming.

...a study concluded that YouTube emitted about 11 million tons of carbon dioxide in 2016 on its own. A new report from the Shift Project concluded that the transmission and viewing of all online videos generate 300 million tons of carbon dioxide a year–roughly 1% of global emissions. The big takeaway from its findings: To reduce our negative impact on the planet, we need to curb our Netflix and porn habits.

[T]he Shift Project] found that on-demand video services (like Netflix and Prime Video) are responsible for a third of the emissions–and porn videos generate another third. Based on these numbers, watching porn videos emit the same amount of CO2 as entire countries like Bangladesh and Nigeria!

Now, the organization is concerned that the world’s current streaming habits may be both problematic and unsustainable.

“If we let the video users go how they are going right now, there will be a time when we just won’t be able to really sustain these users, and I think it’s dangerous for the digital infrastructure for the digital world,” Maxime Efoui-Hess, co-author of the study, told Gizmodo.

The organization is calling for more regulations regarding online video use and even created a browser extension (only compatible with Firefox) called Carbonalyser. The extension is supposed to raise awareness by helping users find out how much emission their personal computer use is responsible for.

The authors of the study suggest limitations to the amount of data users have access to.

Grist: Binge-watching and porn are draining the planet’s battery. 

So maybe the next time you’re feeling all hot and bothered, just think about climate change! It’s more effective than a cold shower (and much less wasteful).

Albert Gore, Junior 15-year old Greta is mature enough to lecture on Global Warming Cimate Change. Big Tech gets a pass.

I didn't know my life was in such grave danger of being killed by global warming, climate change. Why? Because I'm addicted to fossil fuels. I didn't even know I was addicted to fossil fuels. That can only be explained by addicts being the last one in understanding they are addicts. 

How much fossil fuel has been exhausted over the past twenty years in all the global summits, in all the combined gatherings of the climate change alarmists?

The majority of these alarmists are VIPs, fly by jet (do they jet-pool?), have an entourage, travel in motorcades (or do they Uber/Lyft-pool?), with security personnel. I'll go out on a limb and state these VIPs and their staff stay at some rather high-end hotels or other rented residences and that all of their meals are a feast.

And every single one of them is overloaded with electronics; cell phone, laptop, ThisPadThatPad. Think there's a lot of waste produced by these folks? Think they leave a large carbon footprint? Do they even think about child-labor cobalt-lithium mining? Why should we leave oil in the ground yet scoop out cobalt and lithium? Take a look at who and where has the lithium. Follow the money. Where is the cheapest labor? Who can monopolize on cobalt and lithium mining? If I were A Liberal, I'd say the evil culprit is...Big Tech. But they're exempt from criticism. Why? They're technology.

Climate activist Greta Thunberg, from Sweden, had the opportunity to address a global climate change conference this week, where she didn’t mince her words.

She told diplomats and ministers assembled at the COP24 climate talks in Katowice, Poland: ‘You say you love your children above all else, and yet you are stealing their future in front of their very eyes.’

I wonder how she traveled from Sweden to Poland? On foot?

Maybe...global warming climate change is caused by the large increase in air travel. The answer, of course, is all-electric airplanes. 

Mercury News has an Op/Ed today on the dangerous air quality in Bay area neighborhoods, advocating that much of this problem is solvable by drastic reduction in fossil fuel use:

Part of the solution is to electrify transportation, a technology which is fully available today.  Electric drives and fuel cell engines, powered by renewable energy sources, can meet society’s need for mobility and gradually make fossil fuels obsolete.

Again, The Alarmists advise the answer is substituting our addiction to fossil fuels by replacing it with cobalt and lithium? How is this rational?

Almost ten years ago, the rise of sea levels "over-flowing" was debunked. The Telegraph:

It's not surprising the Alarmists once again trot out the polar bears and their many dilemmas due to global warming climate change. How many times have we seen various images of the poor polar bears "stranded" on ice sheets?

Polar bears can swim. And they don't need wear a life preserver. I hear polar bears love swimming with Liberals. Just love it! They are known to be very friendly and hospitable to humans, especially Global Warming Climate Change Alarmists.

On an unrelated note, according to the Centers for Disease Control, in year 2016, 35,862 people died from falling (page 14). That's a lot of people.

Okay, the Rectal Thermometer of the Word, Albert Gore, Junior, (I hear he invented the internet and he once was the vice president of the United States, but I can't confirm either one), isn't really masquerading as a 15-year old girl named Greta. But this story is so enjoyable. A 15-year old girl sounds just like every adult Liberal Global Warming Alarmist. Or, is that every adult Liberal Global Warming Alarmist sounds just like a 15-year old girl?
