Colorado club shooting suspect is non-binary, attorneys say.

Axios: Colorado club shooting suspect is non-binary, attorneys say.

The public defenders for the suspect in the mass shooting at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub said in a Tuesday night court filing obtained by a New York Times reporter that their client is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.

The Gazette: Public defender records identify Club Q shooting suspect as non-binary, set for virtual court appearance.

Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, was turned over to sheriff’s officers at the jail by Colorado Springs police.

The motions filed by the defense, which were released to the public on Tuesday night, address Aldrich as "Mx. Aldrich" which is the title given to those who are considered non-binary.

Now, to watch the MSM unspin their immediate judgement that the shooter is a "MAGA Republican."

Heavy and Newsweek have stories mentioning Aldrich is/was part of the Mormon Church. How is this relevant? Why are they saying this? I can think of two faiths that wouldn't be mentioned or would be quickly memory-holed. How many can you think of?

Kendrick Castillo Memorial Service held Wednesday.

TFLcar: Kendrick Castillo services held today.
Last week, 19-year-old Kendrick Castillo lost his life to save his fellow students as a shooting broke out at a STEM school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, just outside Denver. Castillo was, by all accounts, a bright young student and a hero in the wake of a senseless act of violence. As it turns out, he was also an avid Jeep enthusiast. CBS4 Denver‘s Jamie Leary covered the remarkable event, as fellow Jeepers throughout the state turned out to honor his memory.

Witnesses said Kendrick Castillo, a senior who was within days of graduating from STEM School Highlands Ranch, was among three students who tackled a classmate who opened fire in his classroom. Castillo, a robotics buff and outdoorsman, was the lone fatality in the shooting that wounded eight other students.

The local Knights of Columbus, where Castillo often volunteered with his father, was helping pay funeral expenses. The group also was providing an honor guard for the service.

Washington Examiner reports the following:
Details are beginning to emerge into who the adult male shooter is as well. Tuesday night, a car was towed from Erickson’s home that had “F--- SOCIETY” spray-painted on the vehicle along with “666” and an apparent pentagram painted on the hood.

Multiple sources close to the investigation told Denver7 late Tuesday night that the second suspect, who is a minor, is a transgender male who was in the midst of transitioning from female to male.

The sources said that the motive of the alleged shooters went beyond bullying and involved revenge and anger towards others at the school and that at least one of the suspects was involved in legal and illegal drug use and had been in therapy.
Maya McKinney, the second suspect in the Highlands Ranch school shooting, appeared in court on Wednesday afternoon. McKinney, a juvenile female, identifies as male and prefers to be called “Alec.
Nothing was said about the school being, under Colorado state law, a “gun free” zone, which allowed the shooters to get “deep inside” (the sheriff’s words) the school before they started picking off their fellow students one by one with their handguns.
WFLA News Radio Orlando: One day after the Colorado shootings, Floridians' Gun-Control crowd begs governor to veto school guardian bill.
A day after the deadly Colorado school shooting, gun-control advocates are pleading with Governor Ron DeSantis to veto the expansion of the school guardian bill allowing trained teachers to be armed. University of Central Florida student Trevor Wild with "March For Our Lives" says they've gathered 13-thousand signatures from Floridians who worry this will lead to even more school shootings.
NY Daily News: Classmate gave life to help save others.
Student Nui Giasolli recalled during an interview on the Today show how Kendrick Castillo “lunged” at one of the shooters Tuesday, giving those inside her British literature class time to take cover.

“The next thing I know [the shooter] is pulling a gun and he’s telling nobody to move, and that’s when Kendrick lunged at him,” she said. “And he shot Kendrick, giving all of us enough time to get underneath our desks, to get ourselves safe, and to run across the room and escape.”

Castillo was just three days away from graduating from the STEM School in Highlands Ranch[.]
