The Hill: Buttigieg seeks black vote by lunching with Al Sharpton.

[Buttigieg] ordered fried chicken, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese, at one point asking Sharpton if it was correct to eat the fried chicken with his hands.

No details are available why Buttigieg didn't discuss his 2012 firing of South Bend's first black Police Chief Darryl Boykins, which is an issue the media seems uninterested in pursuing. Chicago Crusader:

After his termination, [Police Chief Darryl] Boykins filed several lawsuits, claiming he was wrongfully terminated. He also sued the city for racial discrimination and won in 2013. That same year, the white officers sued  the city for invasion of privacy and defamation. They won $500,000.

South Bend’s Black community is still struggling to heal from the wounds left by Boykins’ termination. Buttigieg’s silence over the incident and refusal to release the audio tapes is making the recovery even more difficult. Few Blacks in the city have attended Buttigieg’s presidential rallies since he launched his campaign earlier this year. Most are lily white liberals who are excited to see Buttigieg make his historic run for the White House.

Buck is now under investigation over the deaths of a black man in his 50s at his apartment in the early hours of Monday morning this week, and a second investigation into the death of Gemmel Moore 18 months ago has been reopened, after being closed for lack of evidence.

KTLA: Death Reported at West Hollywood Home of Wealthy Political Donor Ed Buck — For the 2nd Time.

For the second time within 18 months, a man has died at the West Hollywood home of wealthy Democratic donor Edward Buck, authorities said Monday.

Paramedics responded to Buck's home in the 1200 block of Laurel Avenue shortly after 1 a.m., where they discovered a victim described only as a black male in his 50s unresponsive, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

His death comes more than a year after 26-year-old Gemmel Moore was found dead from an apparent overdose at the same home on July 27, 2017. Officials confirmed Buck was present during both incidents and Moore's case is now facing another review.

"It is suspicious that this has happened twice now," L.A. County Sheriff's Lt. Derrick Alfred told KTLA.

Buck is currently not considered a suspect and not in custody, officials said.

[Gemmel's mother], Latisha Nixon, has accused 65-year-old Buck of having young black men like her son ingest dangerous amounts of drugs for his own pleasure. She has said other escorts have confirmed the allegations.

"Ed Buck has been soliciting young gay black men," Nixon said weeks after her son's death.

"He has them wear these long white ‘under-johns.’ He takes pictures of them," she said. "He hits them up with meth. The more meth that they smoke and inject, the more money that he gives them."

The name of the person who died in Buck's home in the early hours of Monday has not been released. Wehoville described him as a young African-American man and featured a picture of a body being removed on a gurney.

Community activists like Jasmyne Cannick have accused Los Angeles officials of declining to prosecute Buck in 2017 thanks to his contributions to powerful politicians such as Hillary Clinton, California Gov. Jerry Brown, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, and numerous West Hollywood City Council members. Cannick is organizing a vigil and rally for tonight in front of Buck's home, at 1234 Laurel Ave.
