Prosecutors in Belgium are seeking ten years in prison for a Syrian migrant who is believed to have sexually abused his eight-year-old step daughter and left her pregnant as a result of the abuse.

The 27-year-old is said to have raped the young girl between January and March of last year in the Belgian municipality of Doische, a small town on the border with France.

The Namur prosecutor’s office commented on the case saying, “We have been notified of this pregnancy,” and added, “Further medical examinations made it possible to date the pregnancy to eight weeks. It was decided to carry out a therapeutic voluntary termination of pregnancy because, given her age, she could not have carried it to term without putting her own life at risk,” La Dernière Heure reports.

Investigators say that the girl initially tried to claim she had become pregnant from a 16-year-old boy but prosecutors suspected the step father and DNA testing was carried out and matched that of the suspect.

...the Syrian admitted he had sexual relations with the young girl and claimed that it was the first time had had drank alcohol and could not control himself.

He also blamed the victim stating, “She’s eight years old but she’s older than that in her head. She came on my lap and kissed me and then asked me for this relationship.”

In 2018, a Syrian migrant accused of two counts of rape of a 12-year-old in Sweden also claimed ignorance of the law, stating that he did not know sex with young girls was illegal.

Attention please: Everything going on in the world must come to a grinding halt because some people on a Christian chartered airplane sang something that upset Ilhan Omar.

Rep. Ilhan Omar has come under fire for deriding a video showing passengers singing Christian songs aboard a plane – and wondering what might happen if her Muslim family also held a “prayer session” on a flight.

The Minnesota Democrat shared the video in which two people are seen singing the spiritual songs in the aisle on an EasyJet flight, the Daily Dot reported.

“I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?” the Muslim “Squad” member wrote.

Gee, I dunno Ilhan. How many Christians flew airplanes into buildings? How many Christians have committed horrific and violent acts on mosques, Jews and Christians? How many Christians have beheaded Moslims? How many Christian gangs are raping women in European countries?

Kentucky government will host first "Muslim Day" at state capitol on January 22.

Muslims from all over Kentucky will tour the building on January 22, meet with legislators, pray in the Rotunda, and receive training on how to advocate for issues affecting the Muslim community.

Waheeda Muhammad, chair of the Kentucky chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations, said one of the goals of the event is to clear up misconceptions about the Islamic faith.

    “One thing that really helps is for people to know a Muslim one-on-one, and that’s part of encouraging Muslims to get out, to be involved in society, because if people know you personally, that’s their image of Islam,” Muhammad told WKU Public Radio.

She says the event will encourage Muslims to get involved in government, including running for office.

Muslim visitors also plan to advocate for certain legislation, including stronger anti-bullying laws.  The group has invited Governor Andy Beshear to meet with them.  Muhammad says Muslim Day at the State Capitol is not government-sanctioned and no taxpayer funds are being used.  She hopes it will become an annual event.

Daily Mail: Omar wipes away tears as she fronts Democratic bid to end Trump's travel ban.

Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar wiped away a tear on Wednesday as she issued a call to end President Donald Trump's travel ban, calling it an 'invisible wall' against Muslims.

'When I ran for office I ran on the promise to end the president's hateful effort to ban a single religion from entering this country,' she said. 

'I have said this before and I will say it again: I believe this ban will go down as a moral stain on this country's history,' Omar, one of the first Muslim American women in Congress, added.

Omar's plea to end the ban comes as she faces fire from Republicans over comments she made last month in which she described the September 11th terror attacks as 'some people did something'.

The ban is not an effort against a single religion and Omar knows this. As if her home country of Somalia is some sort of Utopian Kumbaya.

Ten Men Accused of sexually abusing two 14-year old girls

DESIblitz: Ten men appeared at Bradford Crown Court accused of sexually abusing two vulnerable girls when they were in care and both 14 years old.

The prosecutor, Kama Melly QC, told the court that the men accused all used the girls for their “sexual fulfilment” with the sexual abuse and exploitation allegedly starting about 10 years ago when the girls were 14 years old.

The ten men, nine of which are Asian and of Pakistani descent, used “cynical and manipulative behaviour” to exploit the girls and some of them used violence, force and threatening behaviour against the girls. Others gave the teenage girls alcohol and drugs for sex.

As reported by the Telegraph and Argus, the men standing trial are as follows.

Basharat Khaliq, aged 38, from Allerton, is charged with five counts of rape and one count of assault by penetration.

Saeed Akhtar, aged 55, from Girlington, is accused of two counts of causing/inciting child prostitution and one of rape.

Izar Hussain, aged 32, from Girlington, faces three counts of rape and one of attempted rape.

Naveed Akhtar, aged 43, from Manningham, is accused of three counts of rape.

Parvaze Ahmed, aged 36, from Heaton, is charged with three counts of rape.

Kieran Harris, aged 28, from Dewsbury, is charged with two counts of rape.

Mohammed Usman, aged 31, from Bradford, is accused of two charges of rape.

Yasar Majid, aged 37, from Milton Keynes, is charged with one count of rape.

Zeeshan Ali, 3aged 2, from Girlington, is accused of one charge of sexual assault.

Fahim Iqbal, aged 27, is accused of a charge of aiding and abetting rape.

All of the men deny the charges against them.
