Police are "shocked" by the number of drivers issued infringement notices in a two-hour period at one Wellington intersection.
On Wednesday, in a two-hour period at the intersection of Wellington's Taranaki St and Buckle St, 75 drivers were issued infringement notices for using their phones while driving.
"It is quite unbelievable and I am shocked by this," said sergeant Laurence Vautier, Wellington road police supervisor.
