TPM: Virginia Democrat Governor Ralph Northam now says he believes he's not in the racist photo.

A Virginia Democrat who has spoken with Gov. Ralph Northam has told The Associated Press that the governor now does not believe he was in a racist picture in his 1984 medical yearbook and has no immediate plans to resign.

Of course he has no plans to resign. He's a Democrat. Let the revisionism begin.

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam will make a statement announcement Saturday afternoon in Richmond, according to the Governor’s Office.

The statement is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Executive Mansion.

Democrats, Republicans, and Virginia voters have called on Governor Northam to resign after Northam confirmed Friday he was in a racist college yearbook photo showing one person dressed in blackface and another in the KKK’s signature white hood and robes.

The photograph appears in the 1984 yearbook for Eastern Virginia Medical School. Northam did not say whether he was wearing the KKK outfit or blackface.
