Dao, [.] Wednesday and will need reconstructive surgery, [his attorney Thomas] Demetrio said. And:
[Dao has become] a poster child for the mistreatment passengers suffer at the hands of the airline industry.A "poster child for mistreatment..." yadda, yadda, blah.
Pu-lease. Dao would be injury free if he had simply walked off the plane, OR, had he acted like an adult, OR had he rationally attempted to explain he is a Doctor and has patients to see the next day. But no. He threw a childish temper tantrum.
Dao being dragged down the aisle. |
Dao now has legal representation. Hey - who didn't see this coming.
Famous cartoon lawyer. |
I think United Airlines Public Relations Department missed the boat here. UA should have stood their ground stating that they did adhere to airline guidelines for removing a difficult passenger.
I HATE being redundant, BUT...he easily could have:
A) explained he is a Dr. and has patients to see the next day,
B) discussed the issue in an adult manner, with a sincere disposition,
C) before leaving his seat, asking to speak to someone higher up in the chain of command,
D) where was the Pilot in all of this?
E) thrown a tantrum, acting like a spoiled child yelling, screaming and stomping his feet.
Dao, NOT
